Update Your Summer Pajamas

Happy Monday, friends! It’s Day 11 of 22 Days of Summer Fashion, and today it’s all about stylish summer pajamas!

This is a great time to update your summer sleepwear because Soma is running their Semi-Annual Sale, and they’ve got major markdowns on their most popular collections.

Pajamas and sleepwear are $19.99+, bras are 25% off, and panties are 5 for $25.

I’ve been a huge fan of their Cool Nights pajamas for years. They’re made of the most luscious fabric that’s super soft and designed to keep you cool and comfortable for a great night’s sleep.

This is the Cool Nights Short Sleeve Pajama Set in a bold scroll pattern with a solid magenta top. I like the combination of the solid color top and printed bottoms.

These pajama sets come in regular and tall sizes. I’m wearing the regular length with a 30″ inseam, and these are a size small.

They have a comfortable elastic waist that isn’t binding, and they also have pockets!

The top has a flattering rounded neck and short sleeves, and it’s fairly long, which makes it more comfortable when you’re sleeping. (I hate it when my pajama tops ride up.)

I did give it a front-tuck for styling purposes, but of course I don’t keep it tucked when I sleep.

The sleep sets are especially nice for gift giving because they come neatly packaged with a ribbon.

I also picked up this Cool Nights short sleeve notch collar pajama top in a pretty toile pattern and solid navy Cool Nights pajama shorts.

They also make solid navy sleep pants, as well as these matching toile crop sleep pants.

These Cool Nights notched collar pajama tops come in tons of colors and patterns, and you can mix and match with their Cool Nights pajama shorts or sleep pants.

Unfortunately, sizes are limited in these styles, but there’s a lot more choices for sleepwear in their Sale section. I’ll round up some of my favorites below.

The separates are nice if you tend to wear a different size on top and bottom.

In this case, I’m wearing a medium in the top and a small in the bottoms, although I think I might prefer these bottoms in the medium as well. They’re a little snug.

I often stay in my pajamas for several hours in the mornings, and we also have company a lot in the summer months, so I like that these keep me fairly covered up and still comfortable for lingering over a 2nd (or 3rd!) cup of coffee.

The Cool Nights sleep collection also has sleep shirts and chemises and other styles of tops and bottoms.

During the Soma Semi-Annual Sale, bras are 25% off and panties are 5 for $25.

My Vanishing 360 Perfect Coverage Bra is just $39.99, and it comes in a wide range of sizes (back sizes from 32 – 44, and cup sizes from A – G.)

I also just stocked up on my favorite panties — the Vanishing Edge 360 Hipster. See more about the Soma Vanishing Edge collection in this post.

If you’re looking to update your sleepwear or undergarments, this is a great time to do it!

Shipping is free on orders over $100, or you can get free 2-day shipping and free returns with a Shoprunner account.

  1. I love Cool Nights pajamas! A few months ago I went and bought a bunch of different brands of “cool” pajamas. (Dealing with peri-menopause and hot nights made me desperate to try anything that would help me stay cool and get some sleep!) By far the Soma Cool Nights brand was my favorite! They feel so luxurious and yet still look stylish. I don’t feel frumpy while trying to stay cool! Thanks for the heads up on the sale!

  2. I ordered the flamingo pj’s and the underwear you recommended. I have a thing for 🦩. Would love to try their bras but find that hard to order online.

  3. Going through peri-menopause is brutal at night. I have heard so many good things about these pajamas I might have to place an order, even though I will take a hit on the exchange. (I’m in Canada). And – pants with pockets – Woohoo!

  4. Fortunately, they still have my size in the pajama set you have, so I just ordered them.  We never know when one of our male neighbors will stop by, so I need my pj’s to be presentable and keep things covered.  And I like to have pajamas that look nice, so these are perfect.  I hope your appointment yesterday went okay!  I was at my allergist yesterday.

  5. Do you wear a bra with your pajamas? I’m sure you probably did for the pictures, but I’ve always wondered how people do it when they stay with relatives once we get to the little bit saggy stage:-)

    1. I do until I go to bed. And I put it on first thing in the morning if there are guests in the house. Sometimes even when there are not. It isn’t comfortable to go braless for long, and if my 20 y/o son is around, I want to have it on.
