For Him:

Well, you all surprised me! I asked on Sunday if anyone cared about Valentine’s Day content, thinking most would say, eh, it’s just another day in our house… But instead, as it turns out, many of you have Valentine’s Day traditions and enjoy celebrating in one way, shape, or form.

Even if you don’t brave the restaurants on the most crowded night of the year, it sounds like most of you have festive plans or at least like to wear something festive during the month of February. And I get it, winter is feeling really loooong at this point, and we’re probably all in need of some pink and red to brighten up these dreary days!

In fact, you all inspired me. I’m planning a fancy dinner here at home with the girls for February 14th, and then hopefully Paul and I can get out for a much-needed date night over the following weekend.

And in case you’re looking for some festive Valentine’s Day gifts for the loved ones in your life, I rounded up a bunch of ideas at different price points.

I have even more than pictured in the graphic above — it was getting rather full, as you can see. So scroll down for even more ideas!

Facebook Live Q&A Today at 1PM ET

I hope you’ll join me this afternoon at 1PM EST for a Facebook Live fashion chat and Q&A! We get together on Tuesdays at 1PM to chat all things fashion and beauty… or really, anything else you want to talk about!

If you have something you want me to discuss, leave a comment on this Facebook Post, and I’ll do my best to get to it.

To find the chat, all you do is go to my Facebook Page and it should show up once I go live. I try to be on time, but sometimes I get on a few minutes late, so refresh my page if you don’t see it right at 1PM. It should show up at the top of my page.

If you can’t attend at that time, I always save the Lives to my Facebook Page so you can watch later. Hope to see you there!!!

Don’t miss a post!

  1. Since my husband’s birthday is 2 days after Valentine’s Day, I only get him a small gift for the 14th. (This year I found a cute keychain that says “Drive safely, handsome. I love you!” There were many to choose from, but many said “Drive safe”, and I cannot give a grammatically incorrect gift haha!) Looking forward to watching Facebook live after work later today. (For me for the holiday I showed my husband the star necklace you have styled, and I told him I wanted something similar and that length. Not a hint, but a full out request 🙂 Have a great day! Arna

    1. LOL! I couldn’t give a grammatically incorrect gift either. What is UP with that? The worst is that TV ad on all the football games… Live Fearless. Makes me want to climb the walls.

That start necklace is the perfect V-day gift! I should have included it.

  2. Shhh.. I feel the same way about the going to the mall. It just feels good. Granted, I go during a week day, and in the morning. The closest large inside mall is about 1/2 hour away so I certainly don’t go every week. Like you, I don’t have to buy anything, just walk and look.

  3. I, too love going to malls! Even if I don’t try anything on, I go around and touch things. Haha! Some of my friends hate shopping and I just don’t get it. Luckily, I have a few like me that just love to wander mall stores or our cute downtown area. But they’re the ones that also follow fashion bloggers!😉

  4. Question: I have a LOT of cardigans that are short (waist or right below). I have picked up some longer (hip length or below hip) but they don’t look great on my pear shape, I don’t think. I lose my waist. (And yes I do tuck in the tee underneath the cardigan or wear a fitted top when possible to try to show some shape.). But the short cardigans are very dated looking, don’t you think? Should I start to get rid of them? They’re not coming back in style are they?

    1. Since I didn’t get to my Live yesterday, I’ll add this for next week, but in the meantime, my short answer is yes, I do think they probably look dated at this point in time. BUT with the higher rise jeans coming back in, I would hold onto them and wait and see. I can see them working with those.

  5. I love going to the mall! We moved from outside Atlanta 7 years ago. I miss the malls. Just not the same here in South Alabama.

  6. My best friend and I LOVE to go to the malls. We call those trips where we don’t buy anything our “touch and feel” trips!!! We can “shop” all day and only spend enough to buy a hot dog and soft drink!!! The BEST kind of shopping!!!

  7. LOL – I call Loft my “happy place”! I don’t even need to buy anything – just browse for a bit and I am in a great mood!
