What A Week!

I can’t believe that a week ago this time, I was wandering Epcot with my friend Bronwyn after an exhilarating weekend with some of the nicest mommy bloggers on the internet.

Re-entry went pretty well, although it was a bit like coming home after your honeymoon and your husband going back to work and being alone for the first time.  But without all the bickering that goes with the first year of marriage.  Or at least, that went with MY first year of marriage.  Ahem.

The week flew by as I prepared for my parents’ weekend visit.  And just as suddenly as they arrived on Thursday afternoon, they left this morning.  We had a full weekend, and the highlight for the kids was definitely the trips (yes, that was plural) to the ice cream parlor.  They know they can always count on Grammie for an ice cream run.

The other highlight was our trip to the park yesterday afternoon.  We started out with the intent of visiting the Adventure Aquarium but after listening to a foreboding traffic report on the radio, we turned around and went to the park.  I had my new little purple Nikon Coolpix in my purse, so I made it into a photo op.

I’m always amazed by how tender my son is with my 2-year-old.  They had a blast together.

My 5-year-old did her own thing.

And Mommy even got in on the action.

Do you notice something?  You see the sweatshirts?  Yeah.  Our warm weather went buh-bye.  What gives?  Have I mentioned yet this year that I HATE APRIL?  Well I do.

So that’s a wrap for my weekend.  I’m ready to buckle down and get to work.  If you are one of my design clients patiently waiting for me to start on your project, I promise you will hear from me this week.  And I don’t mean another "Life has happened.  Will be with you next week" kind of email.  I mean an email with an attachment that includes a really cute graphic for your approval.  I swear.

  1. My aunt’s name was Bronwyn (also have two cousins so named) – you don’t see that everyday!

  2. Aw, my mom is “Grammie” to my kiddos, too, as was her mom. I love Grammies. 🙂

  3. Hi, I just stumbled upon your blog while surfing…from the few posts I have read so far, I think our kids are clones of each other (at least in personalities/characteristics.) They are even about the same ages. Weird.

Great pictures! I will be glad when warm weather comes to stay, too.
