What I Wore Lately Vol. 68

Greetings on this last day of November! I usually post What I Wore Lately on Wednesdays, but I have a sponsored post I need to put up tomorrow, so I decided to go ahead and publish this post today.

It’s also a great day to share my outfits because so many Cyber Monday sales have been extended, and a lot of my wardrobe favorites are on deep discount. Speaking of which, I updated my Nordstrom Cyber Week Sales post with some new additions. This sale ends tonight.

Other sales that were extended are 25% off at Sorel, up to 60% off at LOFT, $50 off every $200 you spend at Saks, up to 25% off at Bloomies, 35% off at Elemis, 20% off Mother Denim, up to 60% off at Naadam, 25% off at Minted, and 40% off at Aquatalia and Soma. You can see my Cyber Monday Sale post for my top recommendations at those retailers.

This is a roundup of my daily outfits from the past few weeks and a little about where I wore them and how they came together.

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ with an hourglass shape, and I usually take a 6/28 in pants/jeans, a small in tops, and size 8 shoe. I tried to remember to note the size I’m wearing in the links beneath the pictures. Also, any gifted item is indicated by c/o. That means a company sent it to me; everything else I purchased myself.

What I Wore Lately

This first look is from the Thursday two weeks back. I had a photo shoot that morning, which is why I’m wearing a sweatshirt with my hair curled and a full face of makeup. Afterwards, I threw on this casual outfit to work in my office for the rest of the day.

Rails sweatshirt (S) // AGOLDE Toni (28) // P448s // pearl earrings // glasses

FYI, those 11mm pearl earrings I’m wearing are at the lowest price I’ve ever seen them. I love the larger size — casual but elegant. I’ve had them for a few years now, and I wear them several times a week.

The next day, I had to run some errands, and I decided I was tired of wearing sneakers and the AGOLDE jeans every other day, so I threw this on.

Treasure & Bond turtleneck (S) // Mother Insiders (29) // Vince Camuto booties (8.5)

I like the outfit, but I decided it looked a bit incongruous to wear high heel boots with my 2nd day hair in a twist, so I changed into flats.

Treasure & Bond turtleneck (S) // Mother Insiders (29) // Gucci mules (similar for less)

In looking at these pictures, I like that outfit a lot, but I guess there was something about it that I didn’t like because I changed back into this old faithful outfit.

cashmere hoodie (S) // AGOLDE Tonis (28) // Gucci mules (similar for less) // Lagos earrings

I actually tried this first, though. I think I didn’t like the turtleneck tucked into the higher rise jeans, so I put on the AGOLDE Tonis b/c they have a lower rise? That’s my vague recollection, anyway. That, and I typically don’t wear a turtleneck with my hair up because I look like a floating head. That may have been why I switched back to the hoodie.

And no, I don’t really care this much about what I wear to run errands. I was more interested in experimenting with the Mother Insiders and this brown turtleneck since I haven’t gotten much wear out of either this fall.

Okay, movingrightalong… We had concert tickets for the next Saturday night, and Paul took me out to dinner first. It was a bit of a challenge to dress for both events, but I settled on this. I took off my jacket at the restaurant, but I kept it on during the concert.

FYI, AllSaints has 30% off right now. They don’t have this color anymore, but the black one is pretty well stocked. Here’s a link to all of their leather jackets, in case you’re in the market for one.

AllSaints leather jacket (8; more colors on sale at AllSaints.com) // Naadam boatneck sweater (mink; size S) // Good American Good Legs Crop (older wash; this one looks similar) // Aquatalia booties (8) // earrings

I have this sweater in the merlot, and I like it so much, I ordered the mink when it went on sale a couple weeks ago. I guess I should have waited because now it’s 40% off! Naadam cashmere is super soft, and this one is very lightweight. I love the extra long ribbed cuffs, flattering boatneck, and relaxed styling.

Also, we did a fair amount of walking outside in the cold, plus I stood for several hours at the concert, and my feet were very happy in these booties. I highly recommend them for a versatile all-weather bootie that doesn’t look like an all-weather bootie, lol. They’re also on a really good sale right now.

We went to church the next day and then out to lunch afterwards. I bought this Vince sweater on sale over the summer, after trying it on and falling in love with it at full price last winter, and I’m so glad to finally get to wear it! Unfortunately, it’s sold out everywhere.

I first tried it on with the Frame Le High Straight Leg Ankle Jeans in the washed black and the same Aquatalia booties from the night before.

Vince Breton stripe sweater (S) // Frame Le High Straight (28; on sale, and also at Bloomies) // Aquatalia booties (8; 40% off)

I decided I didn’t like the contrast between the deep black sweater and washed black jeans, so I switched into these AG Farrahs in the Blank Ink. I also swapped out the booties for pumps.

These jeans are marked down at the moment, by the way. Such a good classic black skinny jean, and the raw hem adds texture and a subtle edge to the look.

Vince Breton stripe sweater (S) // AG Farrah skinnies (28; up to 25% off) // Marc Fisher pumps (8) // Kate Spade shoulder bag (similar) // Yurman earrings

I put this wool blend coat on top — another sale purchase late last spring/early summer. It’s currently 30% off with code FESTIVE. It runs big; I take the size 6 in this coat.

J.Crew cocoon coat (6) // Vince Breton stripe sweater // AG Farrah skinnies (28; up to 25% off) // Marc Fisher pumps (8) // Kate Spade shoulder bag (similar) // Yurman earrings

If you like the Vince Breton stripe sweater, I recently ordered this similar sweater from Naadam to compare and to have another option to show you. Unfortunately it’s low inventory, but it’s good if you can nab your size, and it’s also 40% off.

I wore this next outfit last Monday to meet a friend for coffee and then to do my Thanksgiving grocery shopping. This Vince sweater is still 50% off. I love the shaker knit and the detail around the neckline. Click through to see the details better on the website.

Also, I cut these AG Maris to be a better length with sneakers and mules. They have a 29″ inseam and a sewn hem.

Vince v-neck sweater (S) // AG Mari (28) // UGG clogs (9; also at Zappos & Amazon) // pearl earrings

This is from last Wednesday, and I have no idea what I was doing that day. There’s nothing on my calendar. I guess I was prepping for Thanksgiving.

Nordtrom Signature cashmere hoodie (last year) // AGOLDE Toni (28) // P448s // pearl earrings

This is what I wore on Thanksgiving Day. I was hosting and in the kitchen for a large part of the day, so even though it was freezing outside, I was comfortable in short sleeves. This Vince sweater was an #NSale purchase, and now it’s at Nordstrom Rack for almost 50% off (also in black). I love it; it’s so soft, and it has such a nice drape.

The Mother Insiders were also an #NSale purchase, but currently full price. This pair on the Mother website is similar, and 20% off with code CYBER20. In fact, the whole Mother website is 20% off with code CYBER, so if you’re in the market for some Mother jeans, grab them now. I also love the Mother Hustlers for an ankle-length flare with a slightly higher rise.

We took it easy on Friday, and I eventually got myself dressed and put together since we were having friends over that night. I also wore this to run some errands beforehand.

AllSaints pullover (S) // Good American jeans c/o (6) // Blondo boots (8.5) // Yurman earrings & bracelet

I had a nail appointment early Saturday morning, and then we went to the tree farm to pick out our Christmas tree. I threw this on to go to the nail salon, but it was really cold so I changed into skinny jeans and boots to go to the tree farm.

Vince sweater (S) // AG Mari (28) // P448 Johns // Lagos earrings

And here I am at the tree farm.

scarf // similar The North Face down parka (M) // Good American jeans c/o (6) // Sorel boots (8; similar here) // Vince sweater (S) // rag & bone sunnies // gloves

Then Paul and I had dinner reservations that night, so I showered and changed again. I wanted to look sophisticated yet understated. How did I do? Ha!

This picture is super grainy, but it was almost pitch dark so it’s kind of amazing it came out at all. All hail to the iPhone 13. I find it ironic that the color here looks more accurate than it does in normal daylight. I also wore the Bernardo chevron faux fur jacket, but I didn’t think to get a picture in that.

Allison Joy floral blouse c/o (M) // Vince crop leggings (M) // Sam Edelman pumps (8) // Yurman earrings

I wore the Talbots sweater dress to church on Sunday. I felt like it was appropriate for Thanksgiving weekend.

dress (S) // similar boots // similar bag // Yurman earrings & bracelet

And finally, this is from yesterday. I know, I’m nothing if not predictable…

Quince boyfriend cardigan (S) // Caslon tee (S)  // AGOLDE Toni (28) // P448s // Lagos earrings

  1. I like these posts, seeing what you really wear and your thoughts and process. I bought the Vince Breton striped sweater last year. I wore it recently and was reminded about how Vince cashmere is just a step above most other brands. I also bought the short sleeved Vince cashmere and highly recommend it. I forgot about it and haven’t worn it since last year. I haven’t received the Vince cropped legging pant yet, but I was glad to see you ordered the Medium also. From the reviews, it looked like I should, so I did. Hopefully it will fit as well on me.

      1. I just received the Aquatalia boots, and to my great relief, they fit, and are soooo comfortable! They were out of my size in the black, so I purchased the dark gray color. They are beautiful, and are unlike anything else I have! Thank you for the recommendation!

  2. I love all of your Outfits as usual. I especially like the Allison Joy floral blouse outfit and the sweater dress. I’m a very casual ware person and we tend to have the same style. Only I’m 5″ shorter. Always look forward to your blog. Hope you have great day.🙂

  3. Oh how I enjoy these posts! I really like the Vince Breton stripe sweater outfit, and you look great in the AllSaints pullover ( that color is so pretty on you!)

  4. I was so excited to see you wearing the All Saints jacket! I bought the same color jacket during Nordstrom’s anniversary sale, but I haven’t worn it because I wasn’t sure what to wear with it. I love it with the sweater you have on. Thanks so much!

  5. Hi Jo-Lynne. I love the Vince breton sweater outfit on you, it’s so classy. I ordered the Naadam boatneck sweater in Merlot as a gift to myself once you let us know about the sale. I’ve always admired it on you, hopefully it works on me as well.

  6. I was wondering how you manage to stay so trim with all the entertaining and eating out you do ! I have really been struggling with that since I hit 50 .

    1. Well, I’m not quite 50 and it is already a challenge. Definitely been harder than ever this year. I have really slacked off with running, I’m sure that doesn’t help. I lift weights, but not often enough probably to keep up with muscle loss through the menopause years. I also practice intermittent fasting, but I need to clean up my diet. Having older teens/college age kids at home, bringing in lots of crappy snacks and fast food doesn’t help either! #thestruggleisreal

  7. Love the post, such a charming tree farm. I want to order to Naadam sweater you have in the “Mink” color, looks like a mauvy pink in your pictures which is what I want but the website makes it look more beige. What do you think? Thanks so much.

      1. Thanks for your reply, the leather jacket you’re wearing seems to bring the color out too. Just love the cut of the sweater.
