What I’ve Worn That’s On Sale This Weekend

The sales are kind of insane right now, so rather than my typical “what I wore” post, I’m going to share things I’ve worn that are on sale right now. This will be a mix of outfits I’ve posted on the blog and selfies I’ve shared on my Instagram and Facebook.

LOFT is running a 40% off sale, and so much of what I’ve worn this fall is from LOFT. I go hot and cold with this retailer, but lately they’ve been nailing it.

sweatshirt trim sweater (40% off with FALLFEST) // AG jeans (sold out) // booties // shoulder bag (Loyallist reward card offer)

tweed dress (40% off with code FALLFEST) // satchel

shirttail hem sweater (40% off with FALLFEST) // jeans (sold out) // peep-toe booties (33% off)

poncho (40% off with FALLFEST) // mixed jersey tank (40% off + free shipping with code YESPLEASE) // AG jeans (25% off)

cardigan (40% off with FALLFEST) // tank // jeans (old) // shoulder bag (Loyallist reward card offer)

girlfriend chinos (40% off with FALLFEST) // similar tee // denim jacket // Converse

mosaic dress (40% off with FALLFEST) // similar boots // earrings

J.Crew has 40% off most of the store with code BIGSALE. Unfortunately the cocoon coat and rollneck sweater are excluded, but my supersoft v-neck  and smoking slippers are part of the sale, and I just ordered this denim skirt and it’s really good.

ribbed cardigan (40% off with code FALLFEST) // blouse (sold out) // AG jeans (sold out; similar for less) // smoking slippers (40% off with BIGSALE)

I shared this supersoft v-neck sweater yesterday with white jeans and grey mules, but I also love it dressed down with ripped bluejeans and loafers.

v-neck sweater (40% off) // AG jeans (sold out; similar for less) // loafers (44% off; black only) // earrings // necklace

Saks is having 25% off right now, and my all-time favorite black jeans are included. These jeans fit like a glove and they don’t fade. I’ve had them for a year or two, and they look like new. They run TTS for AG legging ankle jeans (I’m wearing the 28 for reference.) Use code FREESHIP for free shipping, or they also offer Shoprunner.

AG jeans (25% off) // ribbed pullover ($39) // leopard mules (sold out) // double pearl necklace

My favorite thermal draped cardigan is also included, and it almost never goes on sale.

loafers in Bordeaux (40% off with FALLFEST) // Splendid draped thermal cardigan (25%off) // AG jeans (sold out; similar for less) // sleeveless cowl tunic // earrings // cuff bracelet

The black jeans I’m wearing in this next look are also good, but I find that they slide down as I wear them, which is annoying. They never bag out and they fit great, so I keep them, but I like the AG (above)  just a smidge better, for that reason.

These are one inch longer in the inseam and also have a slightly higher rise than the AG. I have a size 29, for reference. Maybe I should have gone with the 28, and they wouldn’t slide down, but I can’t be sure they would fit.

floral blouse (40% off with code FALLFEST) // Frame black jeans (25% off) // mules

Bloomingdale’s is also running their Friends & Family Sale this weekend, with 25% off a large selection and a Loyallist Reward Card offer on pretty much everything else. I ordered these cords and I’m loving them! Such a nice alternative to jeans.

J.Brand cords (25% off) // cashmere sweater (40% off) // loafers (44% off; black only) // shoulder bag (Loyallist reward card offer)

Nordstrom a lot of markdowns right now, partly because they’re price matching Saks and Bloomies, and partly because ’tis the season!

leopard booties (40% off) // Frame slender straight jeans (60% off) // ribbed pullover ($39) // Topshop tote // necklace (40% off with BIGSALE)

I’m sure there’s more, but I have to run out to an appointment soon! I’ll add more later today if I find more.

  1. Happy Friday!  It seems that this week my mornings have not been as conducive to really reading your blog and making comments like you have been short on time due to an appointment.  There are definitely some sales going on.  I’ve got to get my seasonal clothes out of the attic so that I can see if I REALLY NEED anything, so I don’t buy just to be buying.  Have a fabulous weekend!

      1. Thanks!  We’ve had early morning appointments one hour away several mornings, then once we got home, things were just crazy.  Wednesday night we out of town for a benefit concert.  I hope you will see my post from that night because I honestly want your comments.

  2. Great Post! Thanks for the heads up on all the sales. Would love to hear how your FWTFL journey is going. l’m curious about this program that seems to be all over blogland. Have a great weekend!

    1. Yeah, it’s quite a movement! Ha! I like the flexibility of it, but I don’t care for the counting macros. I’m still not sure if the intermittent fasting is working for me or not… I’m giving it some more time.

  3. I just bought a pair of the AG jeans in gray. What color shoes to you suggest wearing with them? I was thinking gray, but what if the gray shoes are not quite the same gray as the jeans?

  4. Question: When should you cuff your pants or roll them under so show off booties? I have some that are too long for booties but still want to wear them. I guess cuffs are more casual than tucked under?

    1. Hi Joanna…..I use to always cuff my jeans with the lighter side showing, but lately I’ve rolled them under and then rolled just alittle smaller roll up over that, so only the dark of the jeans is showing. Does that make sense?  It isn’t as casual and gives a longer lean leg look, with no lighter color of the jean showing.  I have to roll most my skinnies, as I’m short and I don’t like the dark jean to fade on my suede booties.  🙂  Maybe this option you’d like.  I had to comment. 🙂

      1. Thank you for responding, Kathy! It makes absolute sense. I’ll try that. I like the option of wearing them longer with flats but also wearing them with booties that I want to show. I guess I should invest in a couple of cropped pairs.

  5. I just bought the AG jeans in gray. My gray shoes are not quite the same color gray as the jeans. What color do you suggest wearing with them?

  6. Thanks for the great post Jo-Lynne, I saw the Splendid Cardigan is available on Amazon Canada (in swan). What size do you wear?

  7. Great looks and sales summary. Thanks!
I agree with the comment about sharing your FWTWL journey. The intermittent fasting is tough. It threw my metabolism off balance skipping breakfast. Have a great Friday!🍁🍂

    1. I personally don’t think its good for a person to skip breakfast.  Its the most important meal of the day.

  8. Great Post.  Hard to say my favorite.  I do LOVE the grey sweater/Cord post though.  So well done with the grey suede loafers.  🙂  I also wanted to let you know I got the LIVE to finally work. I clicked on the WATCH HERE and then really quick before the facebook page popped up over it…… that won’t go away, I DOUBLE clicked the video, single click won’t work and then the video started and the facebook page didn’t pop up over it. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the help.  I never did get to try the cut and paste on the link you sent me.  Is there a way to send the link for LIVE the way you use to so it doesn’t even include the facebook pop up page?  Just thinking for next week. 🙂 LOL I really enjoyed the LIVE.  Have a great weekend.  We finally are having RAIN. Way over due for us in NW Oregon.  Feels good.

  9. The gray sweater with the cords is so pretty! Sales are really good now! I hope it’s ok to share this but I went to my local J Crew today, and everything in the store was 40% off—including the roll neck sweater! I finally got one in the cream/natural color. I’m sorry for not using your link to buy but I felt I couldn’t pass that price up.

      1. I was SO excited and kept hoping the sales person wasn’t going to say “everything BUT the sweater.”  Ha, ha! I went with the ivory/cream color. I think it’s a great winter color & will work with so many of my jeans & pants.

I tried on several and the fit wasn’t consistent (ended up w/ a small) Some smalls fit in a few colors, medium in others. I wanted the light blue/grey color with the speckles mixed in (my description sounds awful but it was so pretty), but that one wasn’t cotton and was incredibly itchy.

        1. Yeah, I ordered a few sweaters from them and two were so scratchy, I was ripping them off before I even looked in the mirror. So weird! Then I found the v-neck one, and I was in heaven!
