What To Wear Black Friday Shopping

If you’re determined to be one of those nutjobs who shops in stores on Black Friday, then you want to be comfortable.

I’ve been Black Friday shopping exactly once. It was a couple of years ago, and I went for a project with Target. I had a blast, actually. I met up with some blogging friends, and did we ever paint the town red (or the Target.) It wasn’t even that crowded!

They key to dressing for Black Friday shopping is to be comfortable. I went dressed for the gym. I did shower and do my hair and makeup, you are very welcome. But I wore my favorite yoga pants, long-sleeve tee, fleece hoodie and running sneakers.

Because let’s face it, Black Friday shopping is a WORKOUT.

What To Wear Black Friday Shopping

Seriously, this is what I’d recommend. This right here.

Black Friday Outfit: What To Wear Black Friday Shopping

Shop this look: black scarf // down vest // scoopneck // yoga capris // sneakers

You don’t want to wear a coat if you’re going to be in and out of stores all day, so a lightweight down vest is perfect. You could, of course, wear full-length yoga pants. It just depends on how cold it is where you are, but I am always more comfortable in capris so that’s what I picture here.

Cute sneakers are a must, of course.

And I threw in a pair of sensible yet pretty earrings and a scarf for style AND comfort.

A small crossbody is lightweight so it won’t weigh you down throughout the day, but it holds all the essentials. The crossbody strap ensures you won’t lose it or leave it behind somewhere.

Naturally, you could pull on jeans and boots with these looks, if you’re not one to wear activewear outside the gym.

  1. Perfect suggestions! I always laugh at the women who are way overdressed or in heels. And I don’t care what time it is, you don’t go shopping in your pajamas!

  2. So, turtle necks…that seems like a tough one for me to to buy again…but I do think it looks good w/ a vest…always feels out of style to me though…just wondering…

    1. Yes, they are BACK in style. 🙂 I think you’ll start seeing more of them. But always feel free to wear a vest with a crewneck sweater or even a v-neck. I like them with crewneck sweaters, actually. (And I rarely wear that neckline.)
