Y’all know all about my love affair with handbags. So I had to share these with you. If you love The Sak but, like me, the prices are a BIT out of your league, here are some bags you might want to consider. The Sak Reyes Small Tote comes in a fabulous array of summer...
So yeah. What I said about having no blog-worthy happenings at the pool this summer? Scratch that. AHEM. I think my 2-year-old turned 3 yesterday. Nevermind that her birthday is in October. She has suddenly become that independent, defiant, limit-testing, 3-year-old that I’ve been dreading. I’ve been through it twice already with my two older...
This giveaway is closed. Winner to be announced Friday morning. There are TWO items in this week’s giveaway! A while back, I reviewed The JJ on Reviewsings. The JJ was created by a very clever woman named Janie out of sheer desperation — desperation for a good way to pack jewelry for travel. It’s an...
Why is it that disobedient kids are so much cuter when they’re two? My two-year-old gets away with way too much because she’s just so dang cute. My older kids get away with too much simply because I’m lazy. And because it’s miserable to administer discipline. I’ve been seeing a pattern developing with my oldest...
I agree…it’s fun that my work is my passion. I’m an information junkie so reading/researching/giving my opinion is FUN.
Isn’t it great that we love what we do!
I feel the same way… the only downfall is that when your work is fun, you become a workaholic…. or at least i do… 😀
Don’t you love those glimpses of wisdom and reminders of what must be obvious to the kids’ unjaded eyes? Somehow they always seem to awaken the gratitude….(well, except for when they point out less-charming, yet equally apparent, facets of my behavior/appearance! 😉 )
funny how my kids mentioned this the other day…….older son: “I like to swim.”
younger son: “and I like cool stuff.”
older son: “and Mommy, your fun is on the computer….”
maybe i shouldn’t be spending as much time on it as i do???
You are so lucky that you love your work.
Some days, like today, I consider work fun. I’ve got an interesting bug I found and now get to hunt down exactly where it is hiding in the software and how I can fix it. Plus everyone is raving about how great a job I did catching this little bugger.
Most days work seems like a colossal waste of time. But the pay and health benefits are make showing up very important to our family.
You are definitely blessed! Even your kids can see it!
I had this conversation with my son once.
Grandma asked what he thought mummy and daddy did for a living.
“Daddy makes cars and mummy makes dinner.”
Then he adds: “and they’re fantastic dinners.”
That’s my boy!
The blessing is to love the work you do, and do the work you love.
