You’re So Vain….You Probably Think This Blog is About You…

Got this from Carolyn.  Carolyn is one dear lady.  When she heard that I was using a Gap bill as a bookmark (and that I left the book with the "bookmark" at the gas station where I had my oil changed one day) she went online and found this gorgeous charm bookmark and sent it to me, along with an adorable Vera Bradley eyeglasses case.  That is one of my many memories of her.

Here are the rules for this meme.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had
together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything
you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog
and see how many people leave a memory about you.

I can’t wait to see your responses.  Come on, be a sport.  Play along.

  1. Well, seeing as how we’ve never actually, you know, MET, my memories with you are from e-mail conversations about Ann Taylor Loft clothing and potty training mess clean-up. 🙂

More recently, though, as well as more importantly, is working all day via e-mail with you on my blog header. It was fun, quick, easy (for me, lol) and painless. Still lovin’ it, by the way…

  2. My memory with you is that you lovingly designed my blog. I know I drove you crazy with my suggestions. You are a patient person. I appreicate your talent and willingness to help us newbies.

  3. Oh, this one is easy. Sitting in the very loud, very crowded Food Court while other She Speaks bloggers were getting their food. Remember when those kids sat down at the other end of the tables we’d pulled together?

I remember the look on your face and I’m sure it was similar to mine — um, do we tell them to move or wait? Thankfully, they moved on to greener pastures!

That place really was overwhelming to me — it seemed we had a lot in common with that 🙂 Oh, and splitting one of those “single” huge pizzas — another good memory 🙂

  4. Wig shopping before I started chemo. When the woman said I had the biggest head she’d ever seen I thought you might fall on the floor laughing.
Sadly the woman was right, but was that the best thing to say to someone about to have all of their beloved hair fall out? So glad you were there. So glad we could laugh about it even that day.
So many good memories with you, thanks for all of them!

  5. Well, since I just started reading your blog, I have no memories of you other than the great outfit crisis of ’08. It really made me laugh, which is why I keep coming back.

And since I have about three readers of my blog, this should be interesting. 🙂

  6. Oh gosh there are so many I’ll just list the last one.

Helping you pick out your outfit in detail for you NY event (including figuring out HOW to keep flip flops and a shirt in your bag on the DL).

  7. Easy.

My favorite memory of you combines three of my favorite things: Disney World, shopping, and girlfriends. The afternoon you, Steph, and I spent perusing the Emporium and the rest of Main Street USA.

Oh wait. Can I say two?

My other one combines you and another of my favorite things: wine. That first night when we ate at Tutto Italia in Epcot and we drank Pinot Grigio over some fine Italian food and great conversation. Yeah, that one too. 🙂

  8. My first memory of you is that your blog was the first one that I read regularly. At the time you were writing about needing to lose some weight, and I was at my ropes end how to lose weight as well. I made a comment about this on your blog and you sent me some encouraging words. This gave me the necessary “kick in the but” to start with a diet again, and since I have lost 12 lbs. I still have a ways to go, but I always wanted to thank you for this. You never know where you will be a blessing! Keep up the good work!

  9. I’ll play since you graciously played mine as well!
WOW, first time I read about you on another blog page, I had to find out what you were all about! I feel in LOVE with your page instantly, which makes me still call you BFF!
One of the sweetest, kindest, friendliest, bloggers I’ve NEVER met except through the goodness of the Internet!
I’m still here after all these months! 🙂

  10. I don’t have a blog, but I’ll play! You are the only other person I know who has a big blue chair and uses it (i.e. cuddle zone) for the same purposes we do.

My daughter just turned 9 and wants to redo her room ONLY if we’ll keep the BBC in the house. Somewhere.
