Casual Spring Jackets for Women

Our spring weather continues to be up and down here in Philly, and yesterday I found myself once again resorting to my spring uniform – a lightweight jacket over a t-shirt with jeans.

KUT from the Kloth utility jacket (S) // Wit & Wisdom crop jeans (6) // Caslon tee (S) // Kork-Ease sandals (8) // earrings // similar necklace // Lagos bracelets // DIFF sunnies

I shared this outfit before, so I won’t go all in on the details, but I’ll reiterate that this utility jacket is super soft and lightweight, and it has such nice details.

I love the variety of pockets and the antiqued silver hardware. I got mine at Nordstrom, but you can find better inventory at Zappos. It runs true to size; I’m wearing the small.

If you’re looking to add a lightweight jacket to your spring/summer wardrobe, I rounded up a bunch of favorites below.

  1. I really like the Kut from the Kloth jackets this year, especially the cropped denim ones. You might also want to add the Paige Pacey jacket. It’s sold at Nordstrom and Evereve, perhaps other retailers as well. I have the vintage black and vintage oak colors. It’s pricy but a great jacket for leveling up an outfit and is appropriate for work too.

  2. I just bought the Tommy Bahama linen Two Palms jacket in navy from Zappos and I love it. I know I’ll get years of use out of it. I bought it to wear the same way I would a denim jacket. I love the idea of a denim jacket but they’re bulky for me.

  3. The price on most of these jackets is just to expensive. Wish you would have shown a few more resonably priced options.

  4. This might even be a question for Saturday! I was told denim jackets scream middle aged woman. I asked my 28 year old daughter and she said “yes, not that they look bad”, she knows I love them. Should we be moving our denim jackets to the back of the closet for a bit? They are classic but even classics trend a bit.
