This week has been a whirlwind! I’ve hardly been home. Here’s what I’ve been wearing.
I love this stripey top from Old Navy, and I threw it on last week with skinny jeans to wear working from home and running errands. I felt like it needed some color, so I dug out my orange ballet flats and my favorite Orla Kiely printed handbag.
Thursday was nice and warm for a change. I decided to go for shorts and another casual top from Old Navy. I’m liking these elastic-waisted tops. They aren’t as figure-hugging as the tops I normally wear and much more forgiving when I’ve had one too many snickerdoodles.
Friday night I went out to dinner and then to a blogging event. I knew I’d be doing a lot of walking, so I went for black patent pointy-toe flats, skinny jeans, and a black top. I dressed it up with this necklace from Studio Jewel — L.O.V.E. You can’t see very well, but the sleeves have slits on the shoulders, it’s a cute top. Wish I’d thought to bring a colorful handbag or something else to liven it up, but I guess it worked out alright.
Saturday was Bloggy Bootcamp. I broke out my red skinny jeans (DL 1961 Emma Legging in Tabasco) and a black and white top (Banana). I forgot to ask someone to take my photo so this is the best I could do in the bathroom mirror!
Sunday was church. I got my husband to snap this picture when we got home. The white eyelet skirt and red top are from Banana Republic (years ago) with a jean jacket from CAbi and snakeskin espadrilles (by Coach from Bloomingdales ON SALE — I picked them up on sale a couple years ago. I like the contrast between the edginess of the denim and the femininity of the white eyelet. I accessorized with my big silver circle necklace from Studio Jewel and a Lagos silver bracelet and a white Michele watch (similar). The red bag is by Hobo Int’l (similar).
Sunday evening we went out to dinner, and I changed into white jeans and this black and white CAbi top. Same red purse as above, and I wore my black sandals with the wooden wedge platform sole from Boutique Nine — another Boomingdales sale purchase years ago. These Bardough High Wedge Espadrilles are sorta similar, but not really, lol. Mine have a wood sole that I love.
I wore this outfit to meet a friend for lunch — green skinny jeans with a taupe tunic and a black tank. In retrospect, I’m not crazy about the tunic with the jeans, but I do like the way the snakeskin espadrilles worked with the taupe tunic. Necklace and earrings by Studio Jewel.
And that’s what I’ve got for this week!

My favorite piece – the green skinny jeans! I always think I can’t wear those but you rocked them! Love it and thanks for the confidence to go for some color!
Aw thanks. I do love them, but I struggle with what to wear with them. Not sure I’m loving that tunic. I will keep trying! lol
Very cute, lady! Love the colored pants that you’ve got!
Thank you. I’m totally addicted to colored pants. It’s a bit of an obsession at the moment. I really want coral and pink jeans too!
Great outfits! You look really nice every single day.
Thanks. It was a good week. I don’t usually get myself that dressed up so often!!
I love all the outfits. You always look nice. I especially like the green pants and the black/white cabi top. The top has the illusion and fit of a one-shoulder top which look great. I have to find something like that.
Thank you! It was one that I almost didn’t buy, but I’m so glad I did. 🙂
From one tall-ish girl to another, the espadrilles are great. I’m always scared to add any height and go for my flats but it does look really good.
Ah but I’m not so tall. 🙂 Only 5’5″. So I love the height the espadrilles give me. Even so, I love it when tall women wear heels. It exudes confidence and power. So keep wearing those heels!!!
You’re 5’5″? Say it ain’t so! I thought for sure you were like 5’8″. I’m 5’6″ but I still feel super tall when I wear heels. Well, in any case, you look great in them 🙂
I know, people ALWAYS think I’m taller than I am. I think it’s b/c I have long limbs. I don’t really “walk talk” – I tend to slouch. I’m trying to get better about that.
PS, I was not meaning “say it ain’t so” like it’s bad you are shorter than I thought. Just surprised me!
lol. I knew what you meant. I often get that reaction from people. 🙂
So many fun outfits! I really like the tunic and green jeans. And the snakeskin espadrilles are fab.
Thanks! I wear them every chance I get. 🙂
I am loving those snakeskin wedges! I seriously need you to take me shopping.
That could certainly be arranged! 😉
Actually, I love your last outfit the best! Love the taupe tunic with the skinny green jeans.
Oh yeah? I don’t know what was going on with that. It seemed to be fitting weird – longish or something. Maybe it needs to be washed! lol
I have to tell you – both of your Sunday outfits are made for you! You look stunning! Maybe you should wear more white?
Thanks, I do like white, but it’s a bit of a liability with small kids. 🙂
So that’s the third time in a week I’ve heard about Orla Kiely–it’s officially a trend.
I’ve loved her bags for years. They are so cute.
I have the first two shirts in different colors. Beware washing and drying the striped top, mine shrunk. 🙁 I can still wear it, but have to layer with a tank.
I like the tunic with the jeans, it looks good.
I actually liked mine better after it shrunk, lol. It was too blousy before. But I am short-waisted. 🙂
I think my favorite outfit is the green skinny jeans one. I LOVE those espadrilles!! Also … you can really tell you’ve been amping up your workouts, it shows! Skinny Mamacita … keep up your hard work, its paying off!
Ugh, thanks. Haven’t lost a pound, but I do feel better. I guess that’s more important, right?
Hi Jo-Lynne, I’ve loved my visit here and your outfits are fabulous. I really adore your style. Will be returning for more visit.
Thanks so much!!!
You always look great – I especially love the Cabi top and the skirt and j jacket outfit. You wear skirts well.
For all the cute clothing items you have going on here (colored skinny jeans, orange flats, eyelet skirt…) I have to say I’m most envious of your polka dot phone cover! haha – it’s adorable 🙂
Too funny. I do love my iPhone case. It was a bit of a splurge – it’s a Kate Spade.
Great outfits,looks like you’ve had a great week 🙂
This post just proves that I need some colored skinny jeans. 🙂 You look great as always Jo-Lynne!
love that bag and the colored denim!
Girl, you’ve been working it this week! LOVE!
