Greetings, friends! Today I’ve got another spring outfit I shot with Alison at Valley Forge Park last week. I can’t wait until it gets warm enough to wear it for real! It actually started to snow flurry while we were taking these pictures.
I’m a huge fan of a denim jacket, and this soft shade of blush with the tonal embroidered detail lends a nice feminine touch to what is typically a more rugged style.
This jacket is actually on sale at LOFT right now — it’s marked down from $98 to $48 — no code needed. For size reference, I’m wearing the small, and this is the Arizona Clay color.
I feel like I’m too predictable with my blush and grey pairings, but, really, is there any better partner for blush? I think not!
I don’t have a link to these exact jeans, but there are lots of options at Nordstrom if you’re in the market for a pair of grey jeans, and Old Navy and LOFT have a few as well. Grey jeans are a great piece to have in your closet if you wear jeans a lot and want some more variety.
If you have grey pants, you can totally wear those with this jacket instead of jeans, and then this spring outfit could be a casual work look.
We shot this look with two different shoe options. First, these pink loafers are the Me Too brand, and they’re super comfortable. They’ve got a memory foam padded footbed with ribbed insole, and I can see myself wearing these for hours without any issues.
They have a classic style with a lower vamp than most loafers, which is generally more flattering — especially if you have larger feet. I feel like these are a more feminine version of the menswear inspired styles that have been trending, and if you’ve been unsure about this trend, these may just be the push you need to get off the fence!
I also wanted to show this spring outfit with these blush espadrille wedges because they’re almost the exact same shade as the jacket. I realize they’re not as practical as the loafers, but they’re a fun option if you want to dress this look up a bit.
These shoes are from last year, and I’m happy to see they’ve brought them back again! They’re a lot easier to walk in than they look, and they’re really cute for spring and summer.
I added a layered necklace to add interest, and happily this one is still available AND 30% off! I like the mix of metals and the openwork details.
Finally, I carried my ivory saddlebag because I like how it blends into the colors of the outfit.
I’m totally obsessed with these muted color palettes right now! It creates such a fresh spring look that makes me happy… even if we do have 6 inches of snow on the ground.

Blush tones look very pretty on you!
Very pretty Jo-Lynne! Your posts are so informative! I really like how the whole outfit looks with both pairs of shoes. Six inches of ❄️ snow ❄️! On World News last night they said that this go around the roads would be bad too. I hope that if Paul had to go into the office, he has a safe drive to/from. Have a great day! Enjoy more coffee and watching the pretty snow.
You can’t go wrong with blush and gray. And I’m loving those loafers!

I *love* this outfit! I love grey anyway, so I think it’s beautiful. Also love the espadrilles! Just not sure how they’d be, with being on my feet all day in my classroom.
I think this is the perfect way to transition to spring with pink and grey. The funny thing? My step mom (the 60+ model on my blog) wore this color combo for our Easter outfits today!!
XOXO

I am loving all of your neutral outfits in this series! The blush and gray go together so well. The jacket details are so pretty!
Casual but feminine, I love the blush and gray combination 🙂 Great look for Spring.
I do love me some gray jeans! And they look great with the blush jacket and accessories. I tried on some blush loafers yesterday, but they pinched. I’ll have to look into these.
Wishing you a beautiful snow day…with quick melting so you can move on to sunnier days!! Blessings, friend!

I have always loved Blush/Pink and Gray. This is really pretty. I purchased the Pink and Cream striped sweater from Loft, that you and shown on one of your blogs, and paired it with the gray and it was really pretty together. As always, Thank you for all the outfit ideas. I love your blog! Linda
I’ve been trying to wear leggings often lately pairing w sweaters, jackets , boots and bottles is there a reason you don’t show that look
I don’t wear leggings very often. They require a longer top, and most of those don’t have a whole lot of structure. Plus I really love jeans. But I do have a few looks with leggings over the years: https://jolynneshane.com/tag/leggings
I love this outfit! And the blush color of the jacket is a very flattering color for you.
I love the blush jean jacket. It softens the look. Blush pairs so well with grey. My olive chinos are my other go to when wearing blush.
I hope spring comes to you soon. I think spring should start the beginning of April. In March, you always know there is at least one more storm to hit.
Ohhh yes olive chinos would be super cute with this jacket!
What a pretty outfit! Based on the weather , I think I’ll being wearing spring outfits until August! Thanks to you, I have been trying the blush tones, and had many compliments. This is definitely one of my favorites!
I love this look! You can keep showing blush & grey all spring if you like! HA! I especially like how you left your t-shirt untucked. I still feel funny with a half-tuck!
Yeah, sometimes it works but sometimes I prefer it untucked. 🙂
I need to get some gray jeans!! Great outfit!

This is a really nice variety of photographs and poses for this outfit…unique backgrounds, appreciate the closeup of the necklaces and 2 shoes styled. Extra enjoyable to read today. Special thanks for offering 2 additional bloggers while Cyndi’s cruising.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Love this gray/blush combo. I have been seeing embroidered hem jeans lately, what are your thoughts and do you have any?
Hey Kristine, I don’t have any. I can’t say I’m a big fan of that trend, but they’re cute on others with a different style aesthetic.
Oh another awesome color . I recently purchased a blush T-shirt with ruffled sleeves to give it a try, as it’s a color I normally avoid lol., love both shoe combos but the wedges are my favorite🤗 Another perfect background too…
Enjoy your snow. We have a bit coming tomorrow but I’m sure I won’t find it pretty.. lol
I’ll be waiting for the rain to follow ha!!

I’m so over the snow! It’s sunny today but it’s not melting very fast.
Love the blush and grey together. I guess I didn’t think of those two together. Nice look. 🙂 Hey, I was wondering if you could tell me what you wear under a form fitting dress, thats light colored to help not show panty lines or lumps and bumps. 🙂 I know you mentioned it before but wouldn’t even know what blog post to find it under. I don’t want to wear a slip and have to mess with it coming up and pulling it down etc. Its the dress I’m wearing to my son’s wedding. Thanks. 🙂
Hey Kathy, I usually wear these shorts – https://rstyle.me/n/cs4hnkgthw. They can create a crease in the waist area, though. I don’t know of a fool-proof solution. I actually prefer to wear a slip (https://rstyle.me/n/ct7xvygthw) when I can – I usually wear both the slip and the shorts under dresses that aren’t lined. It does help cut down on lumps and bumps. 🙂
Love the outfit and the colors! Do you have problems with your layered necklace(s) tangling/twisting? I have yet to find one that doesn’t – UGH!
Yeah, sometimes. Not usually when I’m wearing them, but I have to be careful when storing them. I don’t know of a magical solution.
love the two colors together
I soo enjoy following you and Cyndi each day. IT brings focus to my shopping choices and keeps me on trend – without being too trendy! As I move into my 70’s are there any fashion bloggers in that age category you’d recommend?
Blessings!!!
Hi Kathleen, I don’t know many, but here are a few who are older than I am and doing a great job. I’m sure there are more… I just can’t think of them off the top of my head.

Does a nude suede loafer seem more like fall than spring? I have very narrow feet so finding a shoe is difficult. I am looking at the Trotter Harlowe loafer at Nordstrom. I have several spring sweaters from the Loft that you have featured and am trying to figure out what shoes to wear with them.
Those are really pretty. I would totally wear those through spring.
Great combination and I have some similar grey jeans so I’m ordering this jacket. This a perfect spring outfit!
This blush color looks so lovely on You! Love the little detail on the jacket. I feel inspired for spring now!
