Best of January

I don’t know about you, but January felt like it lasted about three months—with frigid temperatures, a string of snowstorms, and the chance of one more this weekend. Ooof. It did bring some excellent mid-season finds worth sharing, though. From practical layers to new denim styles that make getting dressed a little more fun, there were some real standouts this month. I also pulled together a quick Amazon Top Ten at the end.

And perhaps the best news of all… February is right around the corner, and it just so happens to be the shortest month of the year! But before we flip the calendar, I’m sharing the top-selling products among JLS readers this month.

Top Ten Best Sellers in January 2026

These are the links that generated the most orders, according to my analytics—and they’re always fun to look back on. I’m listing them in Top Ten order, with the #1 item revealed at the end. I’d love to hear if any of these earned a spot in your closet!

also wearing: PAIGE Sophia Bootcut (30) // Dolce Vita Faint H20 (8.5) // Gap Factory Favorite T-Shirt (M)

#10. Quince Oversized Mongolian Cashmere // This sweater needs no introduction at this point. It’s a great value cashmere option with a relaxed, easy fit, and the contrast trim at the neckline makes it feel a little more special than a basic crew. I have it in both brown and charcoal.

also wearing: Jenni Kayne Flynn (S) // AGOLDE Harper (29) // Vince boots // similar belt // Tom Ford sunnies

#9. J.Crew Chiara Topcoat // This is the perfect slouchy wool-blend coat with a touch of cashmere for a super-soft, luxe feel. Easy and relaxed, yet polished enough to throw on over just about anything. I’ve enjoyed wearing it with both casual and dressier outfits this month—and I even traveled with it to Florida. It’s lightweight and easy to stash when not needed, but definitely came in handy during their cold snap.

also wearing: PAIGE Anessa (29) // Veronica Beard flats (8.5) // Tom Ford sunnies

#8. Vince Cable Short Sleeve Sweater // This classic cable-knit sweater in fresh clover green is made from a luxe wool-and-cashmere blend and makes a great transitional piece. I was excited to get a chance to wear it in Florida before the temperatures dropped, and I’m eagerly awaiting warmer days here in Philly because I know it will be a regular in my rotation this spring.

also wearing:  MOTHER Lil Kick It (30P) // adidas Spezial (8)

#7. Pistola Kit V-Neck Sweater // This sweater took off like wildfire when I shared it in a try-on haul earlier in the month. It’s such a pretty shade of green with a really flattering fit, and I love the fuzzy alpaca texture. I did find it a little itchy, but if you’re not sensitive to wool or alpaca, it’s a beautiful, good-quality piece.

also wearing: Ollie Varsity Vest (S) // Hendrix Henley (M) // Madewell The Jules (30)

#6. Dolce Vita Notice (also at Dolce Vita) // These backless slip-on sneakers with a faux-shearling lining are perfect for casual, everyday winter looks, and they’re super soft and warm inside. I love the easy slip-on style, and the price point is great too!

also wearing: Splendid Alexis Cardigan (M) // Birkenstock Boston Rivets (8)

#5. KUT from the Kloth Avery (also at Nordstrom) // This newer denim style from KUT from the Kloth features a relaxed straight leg with a subtle flare and a 28″ ankle-length inseam. I really like this faded blue wash for everyday wear.

also wearing: PAIGE Anessa (30) // Madewell Remy Mary Jane Flats (8h)

#4. Treasure & Bond Oversize Pointelle V-Neck Sweater // This pretty pullover is great for late winter and early spring—especially if the cold weather sticks around. I love the pointelle stitching and the flattering V-neck. It comes in a few other colors, too, and the price point is really good.

also wearing: J.Crew Cardigan (S) // Birkenstock Boston Rivets (39) // Jenny Bird Florence earrings

#3. LOFT Rivete Mid Rise Relaxed Straight Jeans // These relaxed straight-leg jeans have an easy fit and a nice medium indigo wash for everyday wear. They’re very comfortable and work well with sneakers and other casual footwear. They do seem to run big, though—I recommend sizing down one.

also wearing:  MOTHER Dazzler Flood (30) // adidas Spezial (8)

#2. Joey Henley // This sweatshirt is a comfy-cool alternative to a sweater on casual days. The relaxed fit, snap-front neckline, and adjustable hem make it easy to wear and surprisingly flattering.

And in first place, drumroll please… 🥁

also wearing: Jenni Kayne Flynn (S) // adidas Spezial (8) // Barbour Beadnell Waterproof Jacket (8)

#1. MOTHER Lil Kick It // I love that my favorite everyday jeans at the moment topped the list! These are such a good relaxed, full-length straight leg for a modern silhouette, with great stretch and just the right amount of structure. I wear the petite version (30″ inseam) so I can pair them with flats, but they’re also available in a 32” inseam for taller women (or average-height women who prefer to wear heels). This is a really nice casual wash, and there are several other options, too. Browse all of the MOTHER Kick It styles at Nordstrom.

Amazon Top Ten

And as an added bonus, here are the Top Ten Amazon finds JLS readers loved most this month. This list leans heavily into beauty and hygiene, plus the best little gizmo for de-pilling sweaters (and upholstery!).

  1. ISDIN Tinted Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50+ // My go-to daily sunscreen (dermatologist recommended). SPF 50+ with a subtle tint that evens out your skin tone without feeling greasy or leaving a white cast—and it’s 25% off right now!
  2. Oligo Calura Moisture Balance Shampoo & Conditioner // My go-to shampoo and conditioner for the past couple of years. It’s a gentle, sulfate-free combo that keeps my hair balanced without feeling heavy—and it’s 10% off right now. (Be sure to check the coupon box before adding to cart.)
  3. Conair Fabric Shaver and Lint Remover // The best for removing those annoying pills from sweaters. Also works well on upholstery.
  4. Retainer Cleanser Tablets // These work great for getting rid of stubborn stains on clear retainers, Invisalign, etc.
  5. Waterpik Cordless Water Flosser // This little gizmo gets stuff out of my teeth that regular flossing cannot. My dentist is a huge fan of it, as well. I love that it’s cordless, too.
  6. LUMIFY Eye Drops // I love these eye drops for reducing redness. I use them daily, and they make me look so much more awake and refreshed.
  7. Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum // This eye serum brightens, firms, and nourishes the delicate skin around the eyes. It goes on smoothly, absorbs quickly, and leaves my under-eye area hydrated and refreshed without feeling greasy.
  8. Davines Replumping Hair Filler Superactive // This spray-in hair serum plumps each strand, making your hair look and feel noticeably fuller and thicker. It’s also designed to help protect against breakage. I love it for making my thin hair feel thicker.
  9. Gold Bond Age Renew Crepe Corrector Body Lotion // An affordable body lotion that helps reduce crepey skin while keeping it moisturized and hydrated.
  10. Perricone MD No Makeup Eyeshadow // This product gives you a no-makeup-but-better look by adding a soft, natural brightness to your eyelids. The lightweight formula blends effortlessly and stays put all day, making it perfect for a polished yet minimal look.

  1. I am intrigued with the Perricone no makeup eyeshadow. What color do you have? I’m fair skinned, blue eyes, blonde highlights—so do I go with the lightest shade or one up for more color? It’s ON SALE on Amazon right now! Let me know–thanks!

I returned my Loft rivete jeans–not a good look for me–unfortunately

  2. I loved the Pistola kit sweater but it runs VERY large. Ordered from Pistola website and saved $60 and got the XS. Love it!

  3. The reviews on the Dolce Vita Faux Shearling sneaker say to order 1/2 size up. Did you find this to be true?
    Thank you, Arna
