The weather is changing around here. It is already starting to hint of fall. It’s still quite warm in the afternoons, but the mornings have been nice and cool and breezy, the humidity is FINALLY gone, and there is just that FEELING in the air, ya know?? Yesterday I turned off my A/C and opened the windows. JOY!!!
I can’t remember where I wore this outfit. Isn’t it funny how a week ago can seem like years? At any rate, it is a black embellished top from LOFT (and honestly, it is SO CUTE, but unfortunately you can’t see the details in this photo, and I can’t find it online) and my red skinny jeans. I wore a pair of chunky silver hoops and a silver link bracelet and my silver sandals. The proportion is a little bit off; I think this outfit would look much better with heels, but whatever I was doing (am I really this old that I can’t remember what I was doing??) it clearly didn’t call for heels.
I wore this outfit to a Dog Days of Summer event sponsored by local animal rescue organizations, where we met Savannah. And fell in love. {Pardon the awkward pose. What is THAT!?}
I was tired of wearing the same tank tops so I pulled out this butter yellow gathered V-neck tee to wear with my favorite straight-leg jeans. I layered the tee over a white tank because it’s kind of thin, and I like the layered look. Pink sandals by Lucky Brand, pink cross-body bag by Hobo Int’l. And I wore two hand-stamped necklaces — one from Lisa Leonard Designs and the other from The Vintage Pearl, both gifts in my speaker bag at the Blissdom Conference in 2010.
Oh, you say you want to see Savannah? Well, here you go. Mind you, we may not be able to keep her. She is on loan at the moment, but we sure do adore her.
This is what I wore to church on Sunday. The sweater and cami are from Banana and the white jeans are DL 1961. Love those tobacco wedges – a 6pm.com score several years ago. They are so, so comfortable.
(You know about 6pm.com, right? I met them at BlogHer and discovered that a lot of people don’t even know about them. They sell name brand shoes and clothing at deep discounts. These shoes are Stuart Weitzman’s, and they would retail for over $300, but I got them for something like $79. They always have good prices, but you really want to watch for the weekly deals — they choose certain brands to discount even further, and that is where you get the truly amazing deals. I got my Joe’s jean shorts from them too.)
Speaking of my Joe’s jean shorts . . . I know, this is pathetic. I actually DO have a photo where I threw on a necklace and shoes, but it is really crappy and I look fat so I’m not posting it. Cause it’s my blog and I don’t have to post unflattering photos unless I want to. But I promise I wore shoes when I went out. This coral henley-style tee is from Old Navy (where else, right??) as is the lace trim cami that I layered under it.
Finally, I wore this casual skirt outfit yesterday just to work from home. I was trying to find something in my closet that I haven’t worn in a while. I grabbed this gray skirt, which I like but rarely wear. I think it’s because it’s about an inch shorter than I really like. It looks better with tights and boots in the fall. Anyway, it’s from Banana a couple of years ago.
And yes, that purple tee is the same as the yellow one above. I have a teal one too. I’m not really sure why I bought so many, I mean, it’s cute but… I don’t need three. That’s what happens to me when I shop Old Navy. Their prices are so good I tend to go overboard.
Is the weather changing where you live? Are you starting to get the itch for fall? Tell me what you’re wearing these days!

OK I have GOT to get some colored jeans for the fall. You always look so great in them! I love the purple top on you!
Where did you get those shoes again, can you post a link;)? Thanks you look beautiful!!!!
Love your jeans in the second picture. They look fabulous. I do shop 6pm.com, but not too often–too tempting!
Oh, meant to also say I do the same thing at Old Navy, with shirts. I end up buying 3 or 4 different colors of the same one.
You’re so funny … “Cause it’s my blog and I don’t have to post unflattering photos unless I want to.” … lol! Also, my favorite is the sweater/cami combo from Banana Republic. AND, I’m going to go check out 6pm.com Also, (sorry to be longwinded) congrats on a finding a puppy you like, and hope all goes well so you can keep her!
Like it all. Very complimentary.

what type of dog is she? She looks like a maltese mix or that type of pup.
She’s a shih tzu. Or something of that ilk. LOL. Since she’s a rescue, they are just guessing. She might have some maltese mixed in there somewhere.
Wait, wait, wait, did you get a dog and then proceed to leave out a special post about said dog? JL, I am going to have to break up with you. 😛
Come on! Give us the details and lots and lots of pictures, please.
We are just fostering her for the week. When/if we get a doggie to keep, I will definitely let you know!!!
Lovely looks! I especially love the white and coral outfit, so pretty!
Visiting from the Pleated Poppy!

That is a sexy little outfit for church!
I feel the weather changing too and I LOVE IT! Bring on the fall!
Oh, the doggy. I hope you keep her 🙂
I LOVE the red pants. Those are jeans you say? In the picture they look like high end cigarette pants to me…and that’s a good thing!
