Fashion Friday: Black Friday Edition

Top o’ the {Black Friday} morning to ya!  Did everyone have a nice, relaxing Turkey Day?  Are you loosening your belt this morning?  I know I am.

I wasn’t going to do a fashion post this week, and then I kept getting emails about the fabulous weekend shopping deals all over the web and I decided I was crazy NOT to do a fashion post this week.  So if you’re anything like me and you’d rather sit around in your PJs and shop online than battle the Black Friday crowds, this post is for YOU.

Athleta

Today you can take advantage of their Black Friday Sale and get 20% off their dresses. Just enter coupon code DRESSUP at checkout.

If you don’t already know about Athleta’s dresses, let me be the first to inform you. They are fantastic. I’m not even much of a dress person, but theirs are flattering and they are made well. My friend Whitney has this Nectar Dress and she can dress it up or down and she always looks fab.

I just love this cozy Hut to Hut Hoodie Dress. I’m adding this to my Christmas list. It comes in ivory, brown, and this gorgeous charcoal gray. Picture it with leggings and boots. I mean, seriously, HOW CUTE.

They have a ton more, so click over and take a look.  Athleta also offers free shipping and free returns on all orders over $50.

Old Navy

Be sure to check out their Black Friday Doorbuster Deals.  All outerwear is 50% off.

The last thing I need is another coat, but how stinkin’ adorable is this Ruffle-Collar Jacket??

I love the bright orange, but they also have boring traditional colors such as black and gray.

Check out their outerwear for kids too. This is a great time to get them ready for ski season.

In addition to the outerwear sale, selected items are priced from $5-$15. Like their lounge pants are all $10. I’m a huge fan of Old Navy’s pajamas. They are inexpensive and comfy and cute. You can’t beat that. My favorites are their flannel.

I’m kinda a sucker for plaid, but they also have festive prints and stripes and florals.

Right now all pajama bottoms are $10, kids’ and babies’ jeans are $10, and adult jeans are $15, kids’ sweaters are $10 and adult sweaters are $15. Go forth and shop!

Piperlime

Piperlime is also having a 25% off sale with coupon code VIP.  I usually think of Zappos first when I go to buy shoes online, but Piperlime has a great selection PLUS I can use my Gap card and rack up rewards points.  BONUS!

I absolutely love this Carlsen Boot by Steve Madden.  I’m a huge fan of the cuffed bootie.

The LOFT

My friend Mindi at Moms Need To Know shares how you can get 40% off everything at the LOFT outlet if you’re willing to brave the crowds.

The Walking Company

The Walking Company has brand new markdowns on UGGs.  Many cute styles are 25% off.   Like the Classic Cardy is down to $104.  I just love this picante color.

Banana Republic

You didn’t think I’d do a Fashion Friday post without Banana Republic, did you? This is a good one, y’all. Save 40% until Noon on Black Friday. Use coupon code BR40FRIDAY. This offer is only good until NOON, so start here.

But if you miss it, you can still get 25% off your purchase all weekend. Use coupon code BRTHANKS. This offer ends 11/28.

I’m loving the navy trend for fancy going-out looks. Like the Esther scoopneck dress.

Except, WHAT IS UP WITH HER HAIR? It looks like she rolled out of bed and put on a fancy dress. Weird.  That is NOT a trend I can get behind.

There are a lot of cute navy tops too, and they are pairing them with black, FYI.  I would never have thought to do that, but they actually look pretty sharp.

6pm.com

6pm.com is offering free shipping on orders over $100 from November 22nd-December 25th. Check 6pm.com daily for the latest deals. Psssst. Danskos are up to 65% off.

And finally . . .

Amazon.com

This isn’t fashion related necessarily, but don’t forget to check out the Black Friday Deals on Amazon.com. They change often throughout the day so you’ll want to bookmark that page and check in regularly.  I’ve got my eye on a replacement Kindle since mine got lost on the plane.  Hmph. (And word has it that Amazon will have the 2nd generation Kindle on sale for $89 today at noon. I’m so tempted.)

Also not fashion related, but such a good deal I had to share (and these make such a fabulous Christmas gift), check out the Black Friday Sale: 20% off site-wide at momAgenda!

So how do you do your shopping on Black Friday? Do you go out and battle the crowds, or do you sit at home with your hot chocolate and peruse the Web for deals?  Inquiring minds wanna know.

  1. Before I forget – I love that your links open into a new page!

I just returned from some Black Friday shopping. Finally found some great tall, black boots at DSW to wear with my skinny jeans. (Too bad it’s raining today, all anyone needs is rainboots!)

Also found some Ugg-like boots for my daugther for Christmas at Dicks Sporting Goods, of all places.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

    1. I’m so glad someone noticed! I worked hard on that (the links opening on another tab).

Sounds like you scored today. NICE. I ordered that gray dress from Athleta, and another that is similar. I hope one fits!

  2. I love that Hoodie Dress! You’re right on with the leggings & boots ensemble.
Oh as far as Black Friday shopping….I like to sit home & shop online. I worked far too many years in retail to even think about facing the crowds.
