His and Hers Active Gift Ideas from Vuori

Happy Friday, friends! Paul is joining me today to share some active gift ideas for both men and women to help you cross a few more people off your holiday shopping list.

Halo Essential Hoodie (S) // Lux Rib Studio Legging (M) // Encinitas Crew (L) // Ripstop Climber Pant (M)

Ever since I discovered their buttery soft Performance Jogger during lockdown last year, I’ve been gradually adding more Vuori to my athleisure wardrobe, and it seems like every piece is better than the last.

If this brand is new to you, Vuori makes premium performance apparel for men and women that is built for movement and style. They have the softest tees and polos for guys, and their pants are made with movement in mind, but they look nice enough to wear for work or leisure in casual environments. The Ripstop Climber Pant is a perfect example.

Paul loves to go hiking on the weekends, and these pants are made of a durable ripstop fabric with two-way stretch and a gusset for a wide range of motion. They also have a drawstring waist and an external zipper pocket where he can stow a phone or other essentials.

The modern, slimmer fit is both stylish and practical, and they come in 10 great neutrals. These pants have have a 33″ inseam, and it says on the website that they’re intended to be worn cuffed. If I’d realized that, we would have tried it because they’re a little long on Paul. He usually wears a 31″ or 32″ inseam.

Paul is also wearing the Encinitas Crew, a mid-weight fleece pullover made with organic French terry cotton. He better watch out, this sweatshirt is so soft, it might find its way onto my side of the closet at some point.

It also comes in navy and black, and I would say it’s true to size. I ordered Paul the large, which is his normal size, mainly for the length. Otherwise, a medium would probably be a better fit for his slim build.

My friend and workout partner has this Halo Essential Hoodie in a darker grey, and every time she wears it, I swear I’m going to get one for myself, so I finally did. It’s the same buttery soft DreamKnit ™ fabric as Vuori’s cult-favorite Performance Jogger, and it feels absolutely divine.

The Halo Essential Hoodie comes in a bunch of colors, and it runs true to size with a cropped fit; I have it in the small, for reference.

I also added their Lux Rib Studio Legging to my Vuori collection. These are buttery soft and on the thinner side, and I especially like the extra high waist. It isn’t constricting at all, but it stays put when I move around.

These leggings are incredibly lightweight, perfect for studio and gym workouts or just being comfy at home. In fact, I wore them this morning for a strength training workout.

They also have this cool contrasting waistband, which is a nice detail if you’re comfortable wearing cropped tops, like the Mudra Fitted Tee that I’m wearing underneath. I ordered the medium in these, but the way they wrinkle at the knees makes me think I could have gone down to the small.

From their matching sets to their high quality performance workout apparel, finding Vuori under the tree is sure to bring a smile to someone’s face on Christmas Day.

In fact, Vuori’s investment in happiness is part of their product guarantee. It’s very simple: if you don’t love the product, send it back. Returns are always free, and ground shipping via USPS is also free on orders over $75, after discounts and before taxes.

Here are some of our other Vuori favorites that would make great holiday gifts or treats for yourself.

His and Hers Active Gift Ideas from Vuori

The Womens Alpine Sherpa Jacket is my go-to for cold weather walks and going to and from the gym. It’s made of recycled performance sherpa fleece with an anti-pilling finish, and it has a zip-up design with a nice high collar to keep out the elements.

The Performance Jogger is my favorite all-around jogger. They’re my go-to for casual athleisure looks or any activity where I need freedom of movement. FIT TIP: Size up for a more relaxed fit. I take these in a medium.

The Weekend Jogger is another great option. These are incredibly lightweight and equipped for travel or adventure. These are also a medium.

When it comes to lounging around the house, I often grab my Sunnyside Crew and Sunnyside Shorts. Both pieces are made of a soft organic cotton french terry, and they run true to size.

Activewear that can cross over into casual work wear is key to eliminating excuses, which is why Paul loves the Aim Pant and Strato Tech Polo. He can take a break in the middle of the day to join me on a walk and get right back to work, or meet a friend at the trail after church without having to bring a change of clothes or going home first to change.

When he needs performance attire for a workout or shooting hoops after work, he always reaches for one of his Strato Tech Tees and the Ponto Shorts.

The Strato Tech Tee is ridiculously soft, quick drying, and moisture-wicking with UPF 30+ for long days in the sun. And the Ponto Shorts are lightweight, soft, and stretchy with a brushed elastic waistband for added comfort.

I also have and highly recommend the Halo Performance Jacket, which is made of the same DreamKnit ™ fabric as the Performance Jogger and my Halo Essential Hoodie. I have it in black, so it makes a chic matching set with the Performance Jogger, and I also like to wear it with their black camo print leggings and a tank to and from the gym.

  1. I don’t own anything by Vuori, but think I need to. Question on the climbing pants for men. Are they “loud”– you know what I mean– do they make that sound that track pants make when you walk? I think my sweetie would love the climbers for hiking but he doesn’t like “loud” pants. LOL. (I get it– I don’t either.)

  2. I think every man needs to try the Sunday jogger! We have a lot of Vuori in our home… a lot and we seem to keep collecting more! Lol. But the Sunday jogger is a nice trim leg, so it looks polished, great for travel as well! I have jogger envy when my husband wears them. The fabric is fantastic and, so far, not available in a gal’s style. Fingers crossed though!

  3. My comment has nothing to do with Vuori. I wanted to mention what a beautiful couple you and Paul form. Your beautiful complicity and your strong bond as a couple cross the screen. Long healthy life to both of you. 🙏💜

    1. The performance jogger is softer and a little thicker. I like them best. The weekend jogger is very thin and lightweight, more like what we used to call “wind pants” – remember that? lol They’re comfy and cool, great for summer.

    1. Yes, they’re true, or size down if in doubt. I don’t know about the college guys in my area, but that doesn’t mean they don’t wear them elsewhere. I didn’t really think about giving a pair to my son, but I should. He loves activewear.

  4. I have the Vuori joggers in black and I love them! They are a staple in my wardrobe. I wear them for workouts, running errands, and I even dress them up with a turtleneck and brown leather jacket. So comfy

  5. Great post.I finally broke down and bought the performance jogger a month ago in the terra-cotta color and LOVE them. They are so buttery soft. I don’t usually spend that much on joggers, but I treated myself per your recommendation. I love how you paired them with a jean jacket and I’ll be doing that too. I would like to order my husband the Ripstop climber pants but I know they’d be too long and don’t know if he’d wear them rolled. He is also 31″ or 32″ length. He really needs some clothes like this. I’ll have to take a closer look. 🙂 I’m still trying to get organized for Thanksgiving. I keep making list and then making new ones and having to combined the list. I’m making myself crazy. I wake up thinking of something, so finally put a pad of paper by my nightstand. To be honest, I’ll be happy when it just gets here and the dinner is on the table. LOL I just hope my fresh Turkey is at the store on Tues. when I pick it up. They were a little concerned about their inventory this year. Yikes!!! Tues. would be too late to thaw out a frozen one, plus with all the food allergies we have to have an organic turkey for sure. Enjoy your day. PS So great you have Caroline for pies and cinnamon rolls

  6. I’m going to break down one of these days and get a pair of their black joggers! They sound just what I’m looking for! Love the photos of you and Paul so nice he’s feeling better and joining in your post!
Happy planning for your thanksgiving… I’m glad ours is behind us as I’m in full Christmas mode here and the sales this year being spread out is a nice change!
