Happy Tuesday, friends! The Style Event at Shopbop is here, and this is a great time to grab some premium denim on sale! I created a page with ALL my Shopbop Sale picks, but the focus of this post is the best jeans in the Shopbop sale.
I get so many questions about jeans, and I always recommend buying premium denim when it’s on sale. Well, now is that time!
First, the details…
Shopbop The Style Event Sale Details
This is a tiered sale, so the more you spend, the more you save! #shoppingmathismyfavoritemath
- 15% off orders of $200+
- 20% off orders of $500+
- 25% off orders of $800+
PRO TIP: If you end up placing more than one order, just reach out to customer service via telephone or live chat, and they will combine the dollar amount of all your orders so you get the max savings.
For those who are unfamiliar, Shopbop is an online retailer that carries a lot of popular designer brands — Sam Edelman, Vince, AG Jeans, Paige denim, BlankNYC, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff, and Stuart Weitzman… just to name a few!
Shopbop is owned by Amazon, so you get free 2-day Amazon Prime shipping on all orders (Amazon Prime member or not) and you get free return shipping within 15 days. That is a very short turnaround, so be aware of that. You can return your order for up to 30 days, but they will deduct a return shipping fee after 15 days.
Also, they don’t make it easy to print out a return form online, so be sure to save your packaging slip and return form in a safe place.
Okay, let’s get started!
The Best Jeans in the Shopbop Sale
SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ with an hourglass shape, and I’m in between a 28 and 29 in jeans. I will share the size I have in each of the pairs below.
These are jeans I have (or have tried) so I can recommend them without reservation. I included some other styles worth considering in the post with all my Shopbop Sale picks.
Mother The Insider Crop Step Chew Jeans
These are probably the most worn jeans in my closet. They are supremely comfortable, soft and stretchy, and I love the wash and cut and distressed details. They look great with sandals, sneakers, clogs, and ankle boots.
I also have them in the black (Not Guilty) and I love these for dressier outfits, date nights, etc. In face, I got these jeans during a Shopbop Style Event a couple years ago.
These jeans have a 10″ Rise, 26″ Inseam, and 15″ Leg Opening, so they’re a cropped bootcut, or they may be ankle length on my shorter ladies. They’re true to size or size down if in between.
Mother The Hustler Ankle Fray Jeans
These jeans are more of an ankle flare or ankle bootcut. They have an 11″ Rise, 27 1/2″ Inseam, and 16″ Leg Opening, so they’re about an inch longer than the Mother Insiders, and the rise is almost an inch higher.
They’re also soft and stretchy and very comfortable and easy to dress up or down. I take a 28 in the Au Revoir and a 29 in the Fairest Of Them All.
in Fiction (size 29 in top pic; size 28 in bottom pic)
I featured these vintage-inspired straight leg jeans in last week’s try-on haul, and I was undecided on them at the time, but I have since tried the next size down…
By George, I think she’s got it!
Everyone always says to size down in the 100% cotton denim, but they seem sooo tight at first. I really didn’t think it was possible, but sure enough! They were hard to button, but after having them on for only 15 minutes, they were loosening up and getting more comfortable.
Trust me on this one. Size down and wear them around the house for a bit before deciding. That really goes for all denim, but especially denim with a high cotton content.
These jeans are a true straight; they’re designed to sit at your waist with a slightly relaxed, full-length inseam. They have an 11 1/2″ Rise, 31″ Inseam, and 16″ Leg Opening; and that’s from the AGOLDE site because Shopbop is notoriously inaccurate with their denim measurements.
This is not the exact pair that’s in the sale, as mine have a raw hem (and they came this way; I did not cut them. But these jeans are so good, and rarely go on sale, so I wanted to make sure to call your attention to the ones in the sale.
Plus, I’ve had requests for more jeans with a finished hem. BOTH the Mother Dazzlers in the Shopbop sale (linked above) have a finished hem.
These are a mid-rise slim straight ankle jean. They have a 9 3/4″ Rise, 27 1/2″ Inseam, and 13″ Leg Opening. (Again, this is from the Mother Denim website for accuracy.)
Please note, these do not fit me at all like they fit the models on the Shopbop website, and they aren’t supposed to. See them on the Mother Denim website for how they are intended to fit the average woman.
Frame Le High Straight Jeans
I’ve had these jeans for a few years, they’re a very good choice if you just want a pair of clean white jeans that you can dress up or down. They have a 10.25″ Rise, 27.5″ Inseam, and 13.5″ Leg Opening, so they’re just a smidge straighter than the Mother Dazzler. They run true to size, and they also come in black.
These slim straight ankle jeans are a great way to branch out from the skinny jeans, if you’re having a hard time with the current silhouettes. They have a 10.25″ Rise, 29.5″ Inseam, and 13.5″ Leg opening, and they run true to size.
