White jeans are one of my favorite things to wear in the warmer months. They’re crisp, versatile, and make every outfit feel fresh and polished.

If you’ve been wondering whether white jeans are still in style, I shared my thoughts last year in this post: Are White Jeans Still In Style for 2025? And this year, I still stand by my conclusion: white jeans may not feel quite as fashion-forward as they once did, but I certainly wouldn’t call them outdated. The key is choosing current fits and styling them in a modern way. Which brings me to today’s post!
Every spring and summer, I get tons of questions about the best pairs to try, so I’ve put together my updated guide to the best white denim for 2026.
When I’m shopping for white jeans, I look for good coverage (no show-through!), a flattering fit, and fabric with enough structure to hold its shape without feeling stiff or restrictive. I’ve tried a lot of styles across a range of price points, from under-$100 finds to premium denim from brands like MOTHER and PAIGE, and I’m breaking them down by category to help you find the right pair.
Best White Jeans Under $100
If you’re looking for budget-friendly white denim that still delivers on fit, coverage, and quality, there are some really good options out there. I’ve had especially good luck with styles from Gap Factory, Quince, LOFT, KUT from the Kloth, and Wit & Wisdom, and Good American also has some styles under $100.
The Good Legs Straight Jeans are probably my favorite in this price category. They’re a slim straight ankle style with a raw hem, and they have great structure and a really flattering fit without feeling stiff or rigid.

The KUT from the Kloth Kelsey is also a solid option. It’s more of a kick flare silhouette, also with a raw hem. The fabric is a bit thinner, but it’s stretchy and comfortable, and I don’t find it overly sheer.

I’ve also been pleased with the white denim from Quince, and their $50 price point is hard to beat. The pair I have sold out, but I linked a few other options below.

Best White Jeans Under $200
Most premium denim brands have crossed the $200 mark these days, but there are still a few strong contenders in the $100–$200 price range worth checking out. I recommend taking a look at Madewell and J.Crew—they consistently offer well-made white denim with modern silhouettes and flattering fits.
The J.Crew Slim-Wide Leg has a high rise and an ankle-length silhouette in a soft white wash. The denim is on the thinner side, but not see-through, and it’s very stretchy and comfortable.

The J.Crew Patch Pocket Denim Trouser is made from a thicker, more structured denim with just a hint of stretch. They have a mid-rise, a 31″ inseam, and a wide-leg silhouette that’s more fitted through the hips and gradually widens through the leg.

Fit tip: Both Madewell and J.Crew jeans tend to run big and stretch out a bit, so I recommend sizing down.
Good American and Pistola also have some good options in this price range, although I don’t personally own any right now.

Best Premium White Denim (Over $200)
I realize not everyone is willing or able to invest in premium denim, but in my experience, the fit and feel really is noticeably better than most lower-priced brands—and that’s what makes them worth the splurge for me.
With white jeans especially, I want fabric that’s thick enough to provide good coverage without feeling stiff or bulky, and that’s where premium brands tend to shine. Cost per wear is definitely something to consider, but if you reach for them often and feel great every time you put them on, I call that money well spent.

Most of my favorite premium white jeans over the years have been from AG, MOTHER, and PAIGE. All three brands consistently offer styles that are flattering, well-made, and hold their shape beautifully. Because I have so many favorites in this category, I’m breaking them down by silhouette.
My Favorite White Straight-Leg Jeans
Straight-leg jeans are the most versatile silhouette for me at the moment, and right now the PAIGE Mason is my favorite. It’s a mid-rise, slim straight ankle-length style with a finished hem, made from a soft, stretchy white denim that feels substantial without being heavy. They’re very flattering and versatile, easy to dress up or down, and they run true to size.

PAIGE Mason (30) (also at Nordstrom and EVEREVE) // PAIGE Syrie Top (M) // Dolce Vita Cely (8) // J.Crew straw clutch // Lele Sadoughi bracelet // YSL sunnies
The AG Mari another great option if you’re looking for a slim straight ankle-length style, and they’re currently 20% off at Bloomingdale’s! They’re made from AG’s Cloud Soft Stretch Denim, and honestly, they feel like pajamas. They also fit really well and hold their shape throughout the day.
Sadly, I had to pass along the pair I had last year because I put on some weight, but I was thrilled to see them back in stock this season. I would have definitely repurchased them if I hadn’t come across the PAIGE Mason.

The MOTHER Dazzler was also a favorite of mine for a long time. Both the Dazzler and the AG Mari have a slimmer fit than the PAIGE Mason, which can sometimes read a bit more like a skinny jean—especially on women with more athletic legs.

My Favorite White Wide Leg Jeans
Wide-leg jeans are still trending this season, and I’ve tried quite a few pairs in a range of denim washes. Wide-leg styles can take a little more intention to style—especially in white—but they can look incredibly chic and modern when done well. For white jeans specifically, my current favorites are all from PAIGE.
The PAIGE Sasha is a high-rise wide-leg style that’s more fitted through the hips with a relaxed straight-leg silhouette in a crisp white comfort-stretch denim.

PAIGE Sasha // Splendid Devon cardigan // Sam Edelman Elissa sandals (8.5) // Lizzie Fortunato earrings c/o
The PAIGE Tatum is made from the same crisp white comfort-stretch fabric and has a similar fit, but with a mid-rise waist. Both pairs have a 32″ inseam, so I wear them with heels.

If you’re looking for something even more relaxed, the PAIGE Anessa is a slightly more casual option in a soft off-white wash. Mine have a 31″ inseam and a raw hem, and they also offer a crisp white wash in a cropped 27″ inseam.

My Favorite White Flares
For a white full-length flare, I used to love the MOTHER Weekender, but I outgrew the pair I had last year and haven’t replaced them. Lately, I’ve been gravitating toward a more relaxed flare silhouette, and the Weekender has a slimmer fit.

I’ve got my eye on the FRAME Lax since I love my black and blue pairs, but so far I haven’t wanted to make the investment.
The MOTHER Hustler Ankle Fray is another old favorite. It’s more of a kick crop with a raw hem that hits right at the ankle, and it also comes in petite sizing. This style looks just as good with flats as it does with heels, which makes it especially versatile.

White Denim Styling Tips

White jeans might seem tricky at first, but once you find the right pair, they can be just as versatile as your favorite blue denim. Here are a few tips I’ve picked up over the years, along with answers to some of the questions I get asked most often.
What kind of underwear works best?
Stick with nude-to-you undergarments in a smooth, seamless fabric. A few of my go-to options are the Soma Microfiber Modern Brief or Chantelle Soft Stretch Seamless Hipster Panties. If you want a little light smoothing, I also like the Wacoal Body Base Shorty. It might sound counterintuitive, but white or light-colored underwear can actually show through more than a shade of beige that matches your skin tone.
Can you wear white jeans before Memorial Day?
Absolutely. The old “no white before Memorial Day” rule is long gone. White denim is fair game from early spring through the end of summer—or really all year round, depending on how you style it. I usually start wearing mine as soon as the weather warms up.
What colors look best with white jeans?
One of the reasons white jeans are so versatile is that they pair well with almost everything. I especially love them with black for a crisp, high-contrast look, but they also work beautifully with soft neutrals like beige, camel, gray, and navy. In the warmer months, I tend to wear them with shades of blue, soft pastels, olive green, and classic stripes. White denim also looks especially chic in monochromatic outfits paired with ivory, cream, or other soft white tones.

A few other things to keep in mind:
- Choose a thicker denim with some structure to avoid clinginess and minimize show-through.
- If you’re between sizes, try sizing up.
- Tight white jeans tend to be less forgiving than other washes.
- A cropped or ankle-length pair is easier to wear with flats and sneakers, while full-length styles work especially well with heels or wedges.
- Don’t save your white jeans just for “special” outfits. They dress up or down easily and work with everything from casual tees to dressier tops and blouses.

I love my white jeans! Wit and Wisdom are by far my favorites for my body type. Great post 🙂
I love my Wit & Wisdom white jeans, too. Mine are the “barely bootcut” style. I wear them so much, I could use a second pair!
How do you keep your white jeans white?
I don’t know… I just wash them on cold water and hang them to dry. I haven’t had any issues.
I just bought a pair of these and they are fabulous and you can’t beat the price.

Good to know! They look good.
The Paige Tatum look amazing on you! That’s exactly the silhouette I’m looking for. I ordered the Tatum in a mid-wash denim in the MDW sale (this is one of the few Paige styles I haven’t tried yet but my love for this brand runs deep). So I’ll see how they fit before ordering in white as I don’t really reach for white jeans like I used to.
Let me know how you like them!
I purchased the AG Brinley crop mid rise straight. Love them. I’m looking to purchase one of the full lengths you shared as they are very flattering on you. Wish me luck! Thank you for the time you put into yet another well thought out post!
Yes, good luck with that! I hope you find a pair that’s exactly what you want.
Hi Jolynne
Love your blog. Do you ever wear Democracy jeans ?
Thanks Mary
Thanks, Mary! I haven’t tried them, but I believe they’re the same company as Wit & Wisdom.
