Trending Casual Sneakers for Women

Sneakers continue to be my preferred shoe choice for casual everyday outfits. They’re incredibly comfortable, and they’re versatile enough to go with almost anything in my wardrobe, from denim to dresses. I recently shared The Best White Sneakers At All Price Points, but I wanted to highlight some non-white options, too.

I rounded up a bunch of options at different price points that caught my eye recently. If you have any favorites, feel free to let us know in the comments!

Casual Sneaker Round Up

Adidas Gazelle // These popular low-top sneakers are super comfy for all-day wear, and the faded purple will add a subtle pop of fall color to any outfit.

Vince Oasis // If you’re worried about keeping a pair of all-white sneakers clean, this camel shade is a nice neutral alternative that will go with everything. Plus, the suede of these retro sporty sneakers is super soft.

P448 John Nantes // Regular readers know that my love for P448 runs deep. They’re comfortable, durable, and I love that they’re handmade in Italy. This pair with the colorblocked design and shimmering metallic leather looks modern and will pair nicely with black and grey denim this fall and winter.

Madewell Kickoff Trainer // If you dislike obvious logos or branding, check out this pair of trainers from Madewell. They have a grippy sole for rainy days, and the color combination will go with anything in your closet.

Birkenstock Bend Low Top Sneaker // Here’s another faded purple pair that I thought would be fun for fall. They are made with the same contoured, cork-textured footbed that Birkenstock lovers know and love.

Veronica Beard Valentina Slip-On // I like that these chic sneakers are made with elastic laces so you can slip them on easily while you rush out of the door, and the color combo makes them so versatile. They will look great with dark and light colors!

Rag & Bone Retro Court Sneaker // These casual court sneakers have a little less of an athletic vibe than my Rag & Bone Retro Runners. They’ll keep your feet happy all day since they’re made with an OrthoLite footbed.

Dolce Vita Notice X Platform Sneaker // A chunky platform sneaker is great for giving you a little extra height. I love this chocolate brown for fall/winter, but you can also grab them in a metallic or an ivory/tan combination.

  1. Love all the low top sneakers! I have a question about socks, though. With crew socks being the most current sock style now, is anyone making the switch over from no-shows? And if so, what kind of shoes do you wear with them? I have several pairs of casual non-athletic low top sneakers that I wear, but they seem to lend themselves to no-show socks. I’ve tried crew socks with gym attire and it looks somewhat better, but it’s still not my comfort zone. Any thoughts?

    1. I have been wearing footie socks that show about a half inch with sneakers. They have a tendency to slide down towards my heel and therefore don’t look even from the side, which is a disappointment so I will still wear the no-shows with shorts. The style that hits about two inches up doesn’t flatter my legs because while I have slim calves, my ankles aren’t dainty but they look good on my 75 y/o mother. In the cooler months, I have been known to wear knee-highs with sneakers, as long as my pants are full-length, and the socks are in colors other than white.

    2. I just can’t do it. I feel like they give everyone cankles. But never say never… I’m sure my eyes will adjust at some point. For now, I am still wearing no shows, or going barefoot.

  2. You absolutely need to try the brand ONCEPT in the Phoenix style. The most comfortable athletic leisure shoe I have ever tried and I have tried a LOT. I think they have about 15 different colors in that style. I bought the Oak Multi which goes with everything. They run a half size big. I am a 8 and 7.5 fit me perfect. I dislike when people say something feels like butter but the leather truly does feel like butter. Could not recommend them more highly.

    1. Thanks for the tip for ONCEPT – those are adorable shoes. The PHX style is retro Nike all the way. I really Panama in yellow.

  3. Because of you I now have 5 pairs of P448. I just wanted to let you know that Nordstrom Rack is having a great sale on them and there are tons of size. I might have bought myself a few more to try!

  4. While I love white sneakers, it’s nice to see some color. The taupe is pretty but the green Gola and silver/grey P448 caught my eye.

Have you ever tried Ecco? They are supposed to be very comfortable, some even waterproof/resistant

  5. I love all these fun colors!!
But I stick with my tried and true ryka ..
for my three mile daily walks.
Enjoy your friends and relaxation tonight!

  6. My favorite color in sneakers is beige or off white. When I workout I wear my black sneakers. Do you think black sneakers will ever be on trend?

  7. I have the Birkenstock sneakers in the white leather. They are great shoes! I bought them in the spring of 2021 and have worn them several times a week all year around since. They have held up well and are very comfortable.
