This week is a collection of fashion successes and failures. I decided to get dressed every day, no matter what.
WEDNESDAY: I spent the day at home and didn’t go anywhere or see anyone except the neighbors and the mailman so the fact that I got out of my pajamas was an achievement in my book.
black ribbed tank :: Lands’ End Canvas
jean shorts :: Joe’s (from 6pm.com)
earrings and necklace :: Studio Jewel
I did try to atone for my black tank top sins by dressing up the outfit with cute accessories.
THURSDAY: On Thursday I went to Neiman’s to pull looks for the fashion show. I didn’t want to overdress, after all it was just a trip to the mall, but I wanted to look cute. Yes, it’s another black top, but it is one I haven’t worn yet, and I’ve had it for a year! I tried to jazz it up with some turquoise accessories.
I went for flats for comfort, although it annoyed me that the pewter in my sandals clashed with the gold jewelry. OCD much?
black top :: CAbi
skinnies rolled up :: Paige (they were on sale at Bloomies a few years ago)
pewter sandals :: Target
earrings and necklace :: Stella & Dot
bracelet :: local shop
embellished tee :: LOFT Factory Outlet
black pencil skirt :: Athleta (last year)
flips :: Ipanema by ViX Swimwear
MONDAY: I went shopping with Melissa. Nordstrom Rack sent us each $100 to spend on summer clearance items or new fall fashions, whichever we chose. We did a bit of both, and I need to record a fashion haul video because I racked up! Ha. Nordstrom Rack, get it? Sorry . . . cheesy humor.
I pulled out some fallish clothes because it was rainy and dreary out, but in the end it was actually quite hot and humid. Still, it was nice to wear something different!
taupe cardi :: Madewell
green tank :: Banana Republic
jeans :: Citizens (another Bloomies sale purchase)
embellished flats :: Nine West
bag :: Lucky Brand
earrings :: Christmas gift from my inlaws many moons ago
TUESDAY:
Finally! The end. This is one of the tops I got at Nordstrom Rack yesterday. FUN! I wore this outfit running errands in the rain. Good times. *note to self: need rain boots*
oatmeal sweater :: Calvin Klein Jeans (Nordstrom Rack)
green tank :: Banana
jeans :: Citizens
orange flats :: Sam Edelman (Nordstrom)

Disclosure: all clothing shown in this post was bought by me except the sweater from Nordstrom Rack. I was provided with a gift card to shop with, and I’ll write about my experience in a separate post.
Stopping by from WIWW, you look great in all of your outfits! I even like the black tops, but I wear them more often than I should too!
They’re just so easy to wear! 🙂
“but I rallied…” oh that is so awesome!!
How fun they sent you money to shop, uhhh yes please!!!
Always cute!!!
I know, right?? So fun.
Seriously…you are my style icon! I should hire you to dress me, I always look a mess!!!
Now that would be fun. Melissa and I should add Style Consultations to our list of services at All Things Chic! ha!
Oh, I just love those orange shoes and the top in that last one!
Thanks! I love how the tips of the shoes have that bit of snakeskin that coordinated perfectly with the oatmeal colored sweater. It’s the little things . . . 😉
Cute, as usual. Nothing wrong with a cute black top and denim–classic is good. I like your hair up!
Thanks! I like it up from the front. But from the back it’s hideous. What little hair I have left all stuck in a frumpy pinch clip. BAH.
love the orange flats and the sunday outfit. i think i’m just loving orange lately!!!
dang you make my jewelry look good 🙂
but me thinks you need something new…let’s chat!
xo, lisa
Love your shopping outfit. You look comfy and super stylish.
Your WIWW posts inspire me to try harder on the days I am home. I feel better when I dress better, ya know? I especially love all of your accessories. Thanks!
