What to Wear for New Year’s Eve

I know it’s the last weekend before Christmas, and we’re all busy wrapping, baking, and checking a few last things off the list—but you know what comes next! It’s easy to get caught off guard with this one, so I thought I’d round up some fun New Year’s Eve style inspiration in case you’re looking for something festive to wear when we ring in 2026.

I’ve rounded up all the pieces from the outfits above, plus plenty of additional New Year’s Eve–ready options—from sparkly tops and chic dresses to fun accessories—so you can easily find something that fits your plans. (And if your plans include staying in, I’ve got you covered there too! I found some really fun pajamas and loungewear.)

What does New Year’s Eve look like for you this year—staying in, heading out, or something in between?

  1. Wonderful New Year’s Eve choices! Can you link to your Substack blog with dresses you recommended for winter weddings or provide some options? It’s formal and in January in the Midwest so maybe some fun choices for wrap options too. And do shoes need to be closed-toe or not? Thank you!

  2. Hope it’s not too much extra work for you, but I love the feature of bring able to hover for store and price! Very user friendly!

  3. Maybe this isn’t the spot for it, but can you do a Q & A or post on where to find quality basic T’s? Looking for long sleeve currently that layer easily. I’m so over the cheaply made and thin Old Navy offerings, and Gap is my other go-to for these basics but I’m not seeing anything there either.

I know this is a perennial question but it’s on my mind right now. 😉 Thanks.
