Jeans are a staple in my fall/winter wardrobe, and I’m seeing more grey and black jeans this year than ever before. Here’s some outfit inspiration to whet your appetite for this versatile fall trend.
I find myself reaching for black and grey tones every bit as often as I reach for my various shades of blue jeans, so I’m always surprised when women tell me they don’t really wear black jeans or aren’t sure what to wear with them. Hopefully these ideas will help!

What to Wear with Grey & Black Jeans This Fall
#1. Pair your grey flares with rust or orange, and add taupe or beige booties. FYI, these jeans are on sale at Saks, but only a few sizes are left.

#2. Go all neutral. I paired grey cigarette leg jeans with an oatmeal-colored sleeveless sweater, and I wore taupe suede mules with a fun braided detail. The animal print bag really pops the look.

STYLE TIP: Add a pop of pattern to a solid outfit, with shoes or a statement bag.
3. Here’s another neutral look with a little more contrast. I love a taupe suede moto jacket with off-black jeans, and I bookended the look with taupe booties.

Great post, as I am one of those that don’t know what to wear with black jeans! I keep looking at the grey and off black and think I’m ready to try. I have not worn Frame brand jeans- is the fit true to size?

So weird……yes, I too can’t keep straight which day it is this week. Yesterday I thought it was Tues. and this morning when I woke up was thinking Friday and realized only Thursday. I have no idea why either. I don’t have kids at home anymore on a school schedule.
I’m one of those who rarely wears black jeans. Usually stemmed from I don’t like my really black jeans to fade and they always did. I guess with the new washed black or grey, its the look so doesn’t matter. 🙂 LOL I just really need to head to a store soon to try on jeans. I just have a hard time ordering, as all jeans fit different and I end up with a million returns. Thanks for the great ideas. You look so great and polished in all the looks.

I have been wanting the black jeans from Frame you have pictured above with the lilac sweater ever sense you showed them. But I just couldn’t bring myself to buy them at over $200 bucks. So I went shopping on my own and tried lots of different jeans. And I never found anything. I realized that my shape does not like or look good with high rise. so that eliminates a lot right now. So today when you posted that they are on sale!!! I was soo happy. I went right over and bought them. I am so excited for them to get here.

I have both grey and black jeans and rarely wear them. I admire them from afar while trying to figure out what to wear with them. Ha ha This gives me some good ideas. Maybe I’ll actually wear them this year!

I love wearing black and grey denim. Looks great with taupe and rust especially. One word of warning. I wore a pair of dark black AG jeans with a light blue Kate Spade crossbody. When I got home, I noticed some black had rubbed off on the leather handbag. Everything turned out well since I was able to wash off the black stain with just soapy water. I am pretty sure I had washed those jeans before wearing. Now I am just a little more aware of what bag I wear with those jeans.
Yes, the AG black jeans rub off on everything! My hands, my car seats, my bags… LOL! I have learned to be careful. But on the plus side, they never fade. 🙂

Thanks for another good post. I really like animal print with black jeans. I also like light pink. I would like to try the rust color that’s trending. I live at the beach in Florida so it will be a blouse instead of a sweater.
