Spring has finally sprung here in Pennsylvania, and I’m so excited for lighter layers, more color, and the challenge of mixing up my wardrobe staples in new ways. If you’re looking for a little inspiration, I’ve rounded up 25 casual spring outfit ideas for women in 2025. These looks are easy to recreate with pieces you might already own, and they’re perfect for everything from everyday errands to weekend plans.

I’ll link everything I’m wearing under each photo, along with my sizes, to make it easy to shop. And if you have any questions about how something fits, just ask—I’m happy to help!
SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and I usually wear a small or medium in tops and dresses, a 29 or 30 in jeans and pants, and a size 8 shoe. Gifted items are indicated by c/o; everything else I purchased myself.
What to Wear This Spring: 25 Casual Outfit Ideas
A trench coat is a quintessential spring layer, and I love the clean, minimal lines of this one. I styled it here with a fresh green and ivory striped sweater, straight-leg blue jeans, and white leather sneakers.

Talbots poplin coat // EVEREVE pullover (S) // MOTHER Dazzler (29) // VEJA Esplar (39)

I wore the same jeans and sneakers with a white scoop neck tee and an olive green linen bomber for a look that’s a little more casual but still polished and on-trend. I added hoop earrings, a pendant necklace, a gold bangle, and a beige belt to pull it all together.
Side note: This jacket is on sale at Bloomingdale’s right now, and the jeans are marked down on the MOTHER website.

In this look, a striped pullover and dark wash relaxed jeans are a classic combination, but the grommet neckline adds a playful twist, and the beige suede sneakers are a softer, more unexpected alternative to white. I carried a taupe woven bag to coordinate.
Side note: These jeans are super soft and comfy, and they just went on sale! (They’re TTS or size down if in between.)

Olive green pants are another quintessential spring wardrobe piece, and they’re a great alternative to jeans. This cropped wide-leg pair with front patch pockets gives the look a modern update for 2025. I wore them with a black and white striped top and finished the outfit with a black cropped utility jacket.

utility jacket (M) // LOFT stripe tee (S) // Sanctuary crop pants (29) // Paul Green Hadley (8) (option)

I’ve shared this outfit several times before, but I wanted to include it here because this cute little cropped bubble hem jacket is still fully stocked—and it’s marked way down at LOFT ($48.30, down from $140!). I wish I’d added a brown or beige belt to finish off the look, but I love the combo of medium wash flares, a classic white tee, and navy cropped jacket with white contrast stitching.

LOFT bubble hem jacket (S) // FRAME tee (XS) (option) // Pistola Kinsley Flare (29) // Paul Green Hadley (8) (option) // similar necklace // Tom Ford sunnies

This is pretty much the same look, but with a black utility jacket, and this time I remembered to add a belt!

EVEREVE utility jacket (M) // FRAME tee (XS) // Pistola Kinsley Flare (29) // similar belt // white sneakers (8) // straw tote // Anna Beck necklace // Celine sunnies

This outfit formula is so easy, it almost feels like cheating—just a white tee, jeans, sneakers, and a sweater tied over the shoulders. So chic! The drapey wide-leg jeans add a trendy touch, but you can wear any style you like.

Gap Factory v-neck tee (M) // High Rise Drapey Soft Seamed Wide-Leg Jeans (30) // pink crewneck sweater (M) // Paul Green Hadley (8) (option)

Another trench coat look—this time with a navy and white striped sweater, blue jeans, and boat-style loafers that feel a little more elevated than the classic version. It’s a preppy combo with a modern twist.

J.Crew trench (6) // LOFT stripe sweater (S) // MOTHER Dazzler Flood Fray (29) // Reformation boat shoes (also at Shopbop) (8.5) // Tom Ford sunnies // Jenny Bird earrings & bracelet // Freja Caroline Bag (also at Revolve)

This tipped Johnny collar polo sweater in black with white ribbed trim is just begging to be paired with white denim—another one of my go-to warm weather wardrobe staples. It has a sporty, preppy vibe that feels fresh for spring. I bookended the look with black wedge slides to tie it all together.

Halogen polo sweater (M) // Good American Good Legs Straight (30) // old Vince wedge slides (a few more sizes) (8) (budget option)

This time, I styled white ankle flare jeans with a red and white striped sweater—a classic color combo for spring. The brown sandals and raffia bag add warmth and texture.

EVEREVE stripe pullover (S) // MOTHER Hustler (30) (option) // Veronica Beard Via (8) (budget option) // similar raffia bag // Jenny Bird earrings

My love for stripes knows no bounds, apparently! This navy and white striped sweater is from last season, but there are so many similar options available right now. I paired it with cropped wide-leg blue jeans, brown slides, and a raffia bag with leather trim for a warm contrast. A simple station necklace and raffia hoop earrings finish off the look.

Faherty sweater (S) (option) // PAIGE Anessa (29) (option) // Paul Green Hadley (8) (option) // similar rattan hoops // Anna Beck necklace // sunnies

Same outfit, different vibe—I swapped the sandals for white leather sneakers and added a cropped trench on top to keep the look modern and on trend.

similar trench HERE and HERE // Faherty sweater (S) (option) // PAIGE Anessa (29) (option) // Paul Green Hadley (8) (option) // similar rattan hoops // Anna Beck necklace // sunnies

Here’s that same cropped trench, styled with a white tee, white jeans, and neutral sandals and bag.
Style tip: With a simple outfit like this, accessories make all the difference—especially since I’ll most likely take off my jacket indoors. I added a pendant necklace, rattan hoop earrings, and a belt to define the waist and tie in the sandals and bag.

As much as I love neutrals, spring is a great time of year to experiment with color, and I love how this bright orangey-red muscle tee pairs with light wash crop jeans. The linen-blend utility jacket in a modern shorter length is the perfect topper, and I wore white sneakers with beige accents to tie it together. Then I added bold silver hoops along with a taupe belt and bag for a cohesive finish.

EVEREVE Camp Jacket (M) // EVEREVE Nora Muscle Tee (S) // MOTHER Insider (29) // VEJA Esplar (39) // similar belt // silver hoops // NAGHEDI hobo

For another crisp spring look, I paired white jeans with a cropped blue and white pinstripe button-up. I added brown slides for a warm contrast, and the chartreuse cardigan over the shoulders keeps it fresh and seasonal.

Monochromatic looks are an easy way to keep things feeling modern in 2025. When I was in Florida a few weeks ago, I layered a beige jacket over this beige and white striped square-neck tank, paired with white jeans. I finished the look with my favorite light brown slides, a coordinating belt, and a rattan bag. Wood statement earrings in similar neutral tones and a delicate bracelet stack pull it all together.

EVEREVE Camp Jacket (M) // cloth & stone Stripe Square Neck Tank (S) // AG jeans (30) (option) // Veronica Beard slides (8) // wood earrings // Anna Beck necklace // EVEREVE bracelet pack

Speaking of monochromatic looks, this one’s from last summer, and instead of light neutrals, I went with a chic all-black outfit. The linen wide-leg pants and ribbed tank add texture to keep it interesting, and the cropped utility jacket is right on trend. I finished the look with a black belt and gold jewelry, and added raffia earrings and a raffia bag for an organic touch that softens the all-black palette.

KUT From The Kloth Topaz Linen Blend Pants (6) (also at KUT from the Kloth) (option) // EVEREVE Sarina Rib Tank (S) // similar jacket // similar belt // STAUD leather flip flops (38) // similar raffia hoops // raffia bag // Jenny Bird bangle // similar necklace set

Ecru jeans are a soft, easy alternative to bright white. I paired these with a pretty blue cowl neck top and layered on a navy French terry peacoat for a casual, polished feel. The brown ballet flats, belt, and bag add a warm contrast.
Side note: These ecru MOTHER jeans are a great deal right now at Nordstrom Rack!

Splendid knit blazer (S) // cowl neck top (S) // MOTHER Tomcat in Cream Puff (30) // Schutz Arissa (8)

This is a travel look I wore to Nashville last month with the same French terry peacoat. I kept it simple with a white tee and relaxed straight-leg jeans in a darker blue wash with an ankle-length fit. The white leather sneakers were perfect for lots of walking, and they tie in with the tee to keep the look light and fresh for spring and summer.
Side note: I love the scoop neckline and fluttery sleeves on this cotton/rayon blend tee because it’s polished enough to wear on its own when I take the jacket off. I finished the look with a light beige belt and a few simple pieces of jewelry.

Splendid Diana French Terry Blazer (S) // Sanctuary tee (M) // Citizens Palma (29) // Paul Green Hadley (8) // similar belt // similar camera bag // LAGOS earrings // Anna Beck necklace // Jenny Bird bangle // AWAY The Bigger Carry-On // Goyard tote (option)

Here’s another option for a cropped knit peacoat—the Frank & Eileen Mini Belfast, made from their iconic Triple Fleece sweatshirt fabric. I really like the contrasting horn buttons on this one. I styled it with a white henley tee, slim straight jeans, and boat shoes for a modern twist on a classic look.

Frank & Eileen Mini Belfast c/o // F&E Patrick Popover Henley c/o (S) // F&E Derry Pull-On Jeans c/o (30) // Jeffrey Campbell boat shoes in Camel Brush (8.5) // similar bag

I will never get tired of a white tee and blue jeans, and I love the luxe fabric, fit, and details of the FRAME Le Mid Rise V-Neck. Here I paired it with dramatic wide-leg blue jean flares and kept it comfy with the Birk Madrid in Sand. The bright pink jacket adds a fun pop of color when layered on top, but the outfit stands on its own thanks to the elevated fabric and flattering fit of both pieces.

KUT from the Kloth Kara (M) // Frame tee (XS) // Frank & Eileen Galway Gaucho Jeans c/o (29) (similar for less) // Birks (39) // similar bag

And these are the same jeans, this time paired with a light and airy white linen button-up. I wore raffia slides and carried a brown woven tote to keep the look relaxed and summery.

Frank & Eileen linen button-up c/o (M) // Frank & Eileen Galway Gaucho Jeans c/o (29) (similar for less) // Sam Edelman Bambi Slides (8) // woven tote

Another option is a black button-up, and this one is made of Frank & Eileen’s “Featherweight” lighter than air cotton fabric, so even though it’s black, it feels light and airy. This time I went with metallic sandals and kept the rest of my accessories simple.

Eileen Relaxed Button-Up Shirt c/o (S) // Frank & Eileen Galway Gaucho Jeans c/o (29) (similar for less) // Seychelles sandals (7.5)

Linen pants are another spring/summer wardrobe staple I wouldn’t want to be without, and while I love the classic black pair I’m wearing above, a bright color is a fun way to switch things up. Here I wore bright pink linen wide-leg pants with a simple white v-neck tee and topped it off with a classic denim trucker jacket.
Style tip: To keep the look modern for 2025, try a denim jacket with an oversized fit or interesting details—like the KUT from the Kloth Lana Two-Pocket Jacket or the Gap Factory SuperSoft Denim Utility Jacket.

KUT from the Kloth Jacqueline (S) (more current denim jacket options HERE and HERE) // Splendid Faye (M) // KUT from the Kloth Meg Linen Wide Leg Pants (simliar colors HERE and HERE) // beek Sunbeam flip flops (8) // NAGHEDI Nomad Hobo

Call it basic, but a white tee + blue jeans is my forever favorite, so I figured this look is the perfect one to end on! This outfit formula is the one I always come back to when I’m short on time, stuck in a style rut, or trying to pack smart. It’s easy, reliable, and somehow never feels tired.
The key is choosing a quality tee with a subtle detail or texture, and pairing it with on-trend jeans that fit just right. Then just add accessories! In this case, I wore tan slide sandals with polished stud details and a coordinating belt. I threw a textured chartreuse cardigan over my shoulders and finished the look with a pendant necklace, rattan hoop earrings, and a chunky gold link bracelet.

Really cute outfits on you..especially like the ones with the sweater over the shoulders…this is probably a dumb question but exactly how to get the look? I might need a little tutorial…do you fold the sweater and does it matter the weight and are these cardigans or regular sweaters…asking for a friend🤣
Thanks
I fold it over about 1/3 but it depends on the sweater. It’s easy to over-complicate it but I try to just throw it on and go.
In the pic where you’re wearing the F&E mini belfast, you are giving off some Catherine, Princess of Wales vibes, with the soft blazer, jeans, and boat shoes. Same with the trench, blue striped sweater and boat shoes. 🙂 Anyhow, this post goes to show we don’t need an enormous closet to have a lot of stylish outfits. You repeated the jeans, or striped tops, or the chartreuse sweater, etc, just wore them all in different combinations, and then changed up accessories, footwear and outerwear. Makes for a versatile wardrobe.
Yes! All of that. And I love Catherine, Princess of Wales. So elegant.
Great outfits. Can I ask how the red light therapy for your hair is going? Wondering if it is worth the cost & hassle.
It’s so hard to tell what is causing it, but my hair dresser says she sees a lot of new growth.
Not sure if you will see this but I have been using an iRestore red light helmet for a couple of years and it has helped tremendously with hair growth. However, you need to know what is causing/caused your hair fall. Mine was due to surgery/anesthesia so I knew my hair would grow back – eventually. I just wanted to expedite that process so I bought the helmet. My dermatologist also suggested Nutrafol, which I’ve been taking religiously…and Zero negative side effects. So, I believe it’s the combination of the helmet and Nutrafol that has helped my hair grow back. (Before taking the Nutrafol, I could see through my hair to my scalp when my hair was wet. I can no longer see my scalp when my hair is wet. Been taking it for about 6 months.) Best of luck!
Yeah, I’m seeing a functional medicine practitioner to try to get to the bottom of my hair thinning, but it has been an ongoing issue for years. It doesn’t get thin at the scalp, but it just thins out on the ends. It’s like it falls out faster than it grows back in. (That’s why extensions have been a great solution for mine!)
I love this kind of post, thank you for taking the time to put all this information together. I love all these looks! I have tried the over the shoulder sweater look, but it always feels like it’s going to fall off. Any suggestions?
It doesn’t really, although I do find myself tugging the sleeves to adjust it every so often. It depends on the top. It stays better on a tee than on a button-up.
Love all of the looks! I I have most pieces, it’s just trying to put outfit combinations together.
I see you have a lot of crop jackets, is it ok to wear with cropped jeans as well to complete the outfit? I have broad shoulders and like to wear a jacket to cover some of the bulk… sometimes white tshirts don’t look as flattering by themselves.
Yes, totally! It often looks better than pairing one with full-length jeans because it helps balance the shorter hemline on the bottom.
I listened to the Everyday Stylist (Jennifer) and she said to tuck our fitted trucker style jean jackets away. I see you’re wearing one. Now I’m confused. Did I misunderstand? Do I wear mine or replace it with a different style jean jacket?
You can certainly keep wearing it if you like it! But I suggested two more modern styles because I agree with Jen that the classic trucker jacket feels a little tired right now. I passed that exact denim jacket on after last season.
Sorry! I didn’t read that. Now I know an updated take on the jean jacket. 🙏🏼
I love the camp jacket. I have been looking for something to replace my jean jacket. This will be perfect
I love it!
Cute outfits. It’s been a very warm spring in Texas since February. Only time I wear a jacket now is at church since it’s always cold there. I did get to wear my new trench coat once on a chilly Sunday. It looks like we’re going to have a long hot summer again. The black wedge sandals you linked on an email on Saturday is the style I’m looking for but I need them to be 2 inches lower and more than half off in price. If you buy them be careful wearing them since you have had so many ankle injuries since the heel is so high.
So many great looks! We don’t have a long enough Spring for me to have topper options, and I’m so hot natured that I hardly ever need one even in a restaurant. It was helpful seeing you wearing a loser fit top with wide leg jeans, so thank you!
These are all great outfits and ones I can most likely replicate! Thanks for putting this together. I needed the inspiration!
Love these posts! Can I get the link to the dresses you posted on an Instagram reel today? I sent a comment on Dresses but never got the links. Thanks!
Ugh!!!! I didn’t realize it wasn’t working. Here it is. https://tapto.shop/jolynneshane/l/43669934
I enjoyed this post immensely – thank you for taking the time to put it together. The Evereve cowl neck top photographs blue in your picture but the description on their site says it is gray. What color would you say it is most like in person? Thank you!
I feel like it’s blue.
Cute outfits!! Love them all!
I love those green pants. Unfortunately, I teach middle school, and those kids…they’ll tear you apart without meaning to. Once a student came in and said, “The substitute next door has her pants on backwards.” (She had those patch pockets on the front.) I said, “No, that’s a style. They’re called patch pockets.” “No. Nooo,” the child said in all seriousness, “she has her pants on backward and has NO IDEA.” So now and forever, I just can’t bring myself to wear patch pocket pants. Stinkin’ kids! Ha ha!
I love the linen button downs! Do you front tuck only or full tuck? Belt or no belt?
Thanks for your posts!
I never full tuck, I don’t like how it looks on me.
Thanks for the inspiration.
