An Easy Holiday Party Makeup Look

Friends, Cyber Week is HERE, and I’m kicking it off with an easy holiday party makeup look with tarte cosmetics!

Their sitewide Cyber Week promotion started this morning, and you can save 30% off sitewide + 50% off Holiday Steals with code CYBERSZN at checkout. They have tons of great gift sets and limited edition palettes that are perfect for holiday gift giving.

Like, how gorgeous is this tarteist PRO to go palette with a mix of highlight, lid, crease, and liner shades in a portable, easy-to-use palette? I’m also loving the kind is the new pretty cheek palette — a blush, bronzer, and highlight in one convenient package. Both of these to-go sized palettes make great stocking stuffers or girlfriend gifts, and they’re 50% off during Cyber Week.

In addition to their gift sets, tarte cosmetics has everything you need for the perfect holiday party makeup look. I’ll show you how I did it.

Lately, I’ve been burning the candle at both ends, so I started by applying this wink of H₂O vegan collagen eye cream (50% off) to my under-eye area. It feels rich and creamy on my skin, and love how it creates a smooth base for applying my makeup. It also reduces the appearance of puffiness and dark circles to wake up tired-looking eyes. Yes, please!

Once that was settled in, I started with my go-to foundation and concealer combo, the tarte babassu foundcealer skincare foundation (27N) and creaseless concealer (20B).

The tarte babassu foundcealer is a moisturizer, concealer, foundation and SPF in one. I’ve been using it for several months, and I really like the coverage and how well it wears throughout the day, but I still like to use a concealer to the under-eye area where I have the most discoloration.

For my eyes, I went with what I know best — the tartelette in bloom Amazonian clay palette.

I always start with Charmer on my lid and Flower Child on my browbone, and then I build from there. I like to mix Jetsetter and Sweetheart for the crease, and I use them to make a V in the corner. Then I apply Rocker with my ring finger on the outer 2/3 of my lid, and I use a clean brush to blend everything together.

That’s my typical everyday eyeshadow routine, but for this holiday party makeup look, I added Activist to the outer 1/3 of my lid and up into the crease. I usually use my finger for this and blend again with a clean brush. Then I dabbed Funny Girl on the inner 1/4 of my lid for some extra sparkle and shine.

And then to really amp it up and create some drama, I used the maneater liquid eyeliner. I’m always a little intimidated by liquid mascara, but this quick-drying liquid eyeliner has a micro-brush tip that glides on nice and smooth, and it’s surprisingly easy to control. I was really pleased with how it turned out!

I’m already a huge fan of the lights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara (currently 30% off) but I’m always up for trying something new, so today tried out the lash paint mascara. These work similarly, but the lash paint mascara seems to be better at lengthening and separating, so I went back in and the end with the lights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara to add a little  more volume.

To finish off this party-ready look, I applied the Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in Dazzled to my cheekbones, and a swipe of the maracuja juicy lip in Hibiscus to my lips. Here’s the whole product lineup I used.

This whole look takes no more than 10 minutes, and I feel like it’s fresh and pretty with a touch of glam — perfect for Christmas parties and other festive events this holiday season.

And as always, tarte’s products are cruelty-free and vegan, and they’re all formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, and gluten so you can feel good about putting them on your skin.

If you need to freshen up your makeup for the holidays and the winter season ahead, this is the week to do it, while everything is on sale. And of course, tarte products make nice gifts for the beauty-obsessed on your shopping list. Take a look at their Holiday Gift Guide for even more clean beauty gift ideas. If your purchase is over $65, you will receive a free makeup bag at checkout. Use code “CYBERSZN” to activate savings.

  1. Last week, I was able to score that fur jacket in a small by repeatedly stalking the Nordstrom website. It was well worth it! You look fabulous as always! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Hi! I know this isn’t related to your beautiful makeup post, but I clicked through to your post featuring the J Crew cocoon coat in sandstone. I’m looking to get it for Christmas for our daughter who is close to your size & age. What size of that coat did you get?
    Thank you!

  3. Hi! Can you tell me about the top you’re wearing in these pictures? Is it available somewhere? I’ve looked through recent posts and can’t seem to find anything about it.
