Back to School Fashion Trends for Tweens
It’s that time of year! Back to school shopping has begun. For some of you, your kids may even be IN school already! We don’t go back till after Labor Day, thankfully. (I like my summers to last as long as possible.) But we are already shopping for supplies and clothes and starting to gear up for the back to school routine.
Today I want to share some of my favorite back to school fashion trends for tweens. As an P.S. from Aeropostale brand ambassador, I was provided with a gift card to shop their new arrivals, and my girls had a blast picking out some new duds for school. (Since it’s still warm here well into September AND our elementary school has no air conditioning, they will be wearing short sleeves and shorts for a while.)
For a first-day-of-school top, Becca chose this Glitz Tank with the sheer panels and SPARKLES!!!!! (View the video to see her exuberance over the sparkles.) She also fell madly in love with this Sequined Backpack that is, unfortunately, no longer available. Both of these options for sequined backpacks are though.
Caroline chose the cheetah-back tee you see in the video, but it’s unfortunately no longer available online. Both girls are loving the sheer panels that is such a hot trend this year. Other sheer-back tees that ARE available are this plaid back tee and this houndstooth back tee.
She also chose this sparkle zip-front hoodie, which I know she will get a lot of wear out of this fall. I love the quality of the PSNY sweatshirts. They wash and wear well and they’re thick and cozy and comfortable.
Another look I love right now for tweens is the skater skirt. Neither of my girls go for this look, but I put this outfit together because it’s just so fun!
Speaking of being a P.S. from Aeropostale ambassador, we were totally psyched to be featured in all P.S. from Aeropostale stores during the month of July as Blogger of the Month. How fun is this!? Unfortunately we don’t have a store local to us so we weren’t able to go in and see our feature.
The feature also includes a different craft every month, two ways to wear the same product, and their collection inspiration along with a quote of the month. I’m loving these plaid and houndstooth pants for girls. I’m hoping I can convince one of my girls to get a pair.
The August craft of the month is locker decorations, so if you live near a P.S. from Aeropostale store and you have school-age kids, definitely stop in and see what it’s all about.
What are your kids’ favorite Back-to-School fashion trends this year??
