A Few New Finds from EVEREVE, Anthropologie & Quince

Let’s start with the non-Anniversary Sale finds! I’ve had a few orders arrive recently from EVEREVE, Anthropologie, and Quince, and I found several keepers.

Z SUPPLY Mattie Striped Mini Dress in Ash Black

MY THOUGHTS: This dress is so cute and flattering. I love the waist tie, the stripe pattern, and the contrasting trim at the neckline and armholes. It’s also cut slightly longer in the back for a little extra coverage. The 100% cotton jersey is soft, breathable, and comfortable while still holding its shape.

It also looks really cute with a sweater draped over your shoulders. I styled it with the Nordstrom cashmere crewneck, but the V-neck or cardigan would work just as well.

I’m definitely keeping this one. I can’t wait to wear it!

MY THOUGHTS: This is a super cute and comfy set. I love the heather gray and the sporty raglan sleeves on the top.

Matching sets always look much more polished than throwing on a random sweatshirt and shorts. This would be perfect for travel days, weekends, or hanging out on vacation with family and friends.

Velvet Milouo Sweater

MY THOUGHTS: I love this sweater. It’s a simple style, but the fit and textured knit make it feel much more special than a basic sweater tee. I especially like the rolled edges, the slightly abbreviated sleeves, and the length—it’s perfect for wearing untucked with higher-rise jeans and pants. I did find it to run a bit small through the shoulders, so I’d recommend sizing up if you’re between sizes.

DV Oroma Sandal: These are super cute and comfortable, with a nicely cushioned footbed and pretty beaded straps. I do think they run a little small. I’m wearing my usual size 8, but I would probably prefer the 8.5.

Accessories: I loved the black and amber resin bangles so much that I picked up this ivory and green set, too. They’re such an easy way to elevate a simple outfit. I also love the Vince Vivian Hobo with this look. It picks up the espresso brown of the sandals, and the woven texture keeps the overall look light and summery.

MOTHER Kick It Flood High-Rise Straight-Leg Jeans

MY THOUGHTS: I’ve been looking for a pair of white straight-leg jeans that I can wear with flats, and I think these might be it. I already know I like MOTHER’s Kick It fit, but the regular version (32″ inseam) is too long without a heel, and even the Lil Kick It (30″ inseam) still bunches a bit over my foot with flats.

This Flood version has a 28.25″ inseam, which lands in that sweet spot between ankle and full length. It might sound like an awkward length, but I actually think it works really well—especially with flat sandals like these.

Aritzia The Esquire Short Trench Coat – Marcona Beige

MY THOUGHTS: I’ve been wanting to upgrade my short trench since I wear one so often in the spring and fall, and I may bring it with me to Paris in September. (Just saying Paris in September makes me positively giddy!)

I tried this one in a small a while back, but it was too snug through the back and arms. It’s also fairly cropped, so I decided to order the medium during Aritzia’s sale a couple of weeks ago for a little extra length. The medium is definitely the right size for the body, although the sleeves are a bit long on me. I may look into having them tailored.

I also ordered the Wicker Tan color. It’s beautiful, but it’s a warmer beige, and I think the Marcona Beige is more flattering on my skin tone.

Overall, I love the fit and quality of this jacket. The fabric feels lightweight, soft, and crisp all at the same time, with just the right amount of structure. It’s also water resistant, which is a nice upgrade from my old trench. I’m really happy with this purchase.

Quince Mongolian Cashmere Cropped Crew Cardigan

PRODUCT DETAILS: A boxy, waist-skimming silhouette with a timeless crew neckline, tonal iridescent buttons, and refined ribbed trim. Equal parts polished and laid-back, it’s easy to dress down with denim or layer over a slip dress on a chilly evening out.

MY THOUGHTS: I fell in love with this sweater after seeing it in an Instagram ad! I could immediately tell it had that relaxed fit I love in a crewneck cardigan, with a slightly wider neckline and a great cropped length. The color is gorgeous, too—it’s somewhere between brown and gray, making it a really versatile neutral.

I ordered both the small and medium. While the small fit, I much preferred the more relaxed look of the medium. If you like an oversized fit, you could even size up one more.

Style Tip: I pushed up the sleeves and left a couple of buttons undone at the top and one at the bottom to give it an even more relaxed, effortless look.

New Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Finds

Moving on to my recent Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases… I keep finding hidden gems! If you missed them, don’t forget to check out my Fitting Room Try-Ons for more outfit ideas and favorite finds from the sale.

One quick note: Nordstrom’s inventory has been a little unusual this year. Some items appear to be well stocked but are only available in select stores, so it’s not always easy for me to tell what’s available to everyone online. I’m doing my best to only share pieces that are in stock, but if something isn’t available for shipping, it may still be available at a store near you.

PAIGE Leenah High Waist Wide Leg Jeans

MY THOUGHTS: The Leenah is a slim wide-leg style with a subtle bow shape, which I really like (maybe because I’m a little knock-kneed, lol!). The trouser-style hems give them a slightly dressier look, and this soft ecru shade is a nice alternative to crisp white.

With a 32″ inseam, they’re definitely on the long side, but I can wear them without hemming if I pair them with about a 3″ heel. They run true to size.

FYI: They’re also available in a gorgeous dark wash version that’s still fully stocked.

Sam Edelman Scottie: These boots are a great option, with a softly pointed toe and block heel. Unfortunately, the color I’m wearing sold out, but there are still a few other colors and sizes available.

Accessories: The beaded bracelets in the brown, black, and gold combo finally came in, and I love them. They make a more subtle statement than the amber and black resin bangles, but they still look on trend and combine brown and black in a modern way.

Sam Edelman Swing Jacket in Sand

MY THOUGHTS: I really like this fresh take on a classic trench. The raglan sleeves, swing silhouette, and rounded back hem give it a modern look while leaving plenty of room for layering. It’s very comfortable to wear, and I don’t feel constricted when pulling it on and off, which is a pet peeve of mine.

The contrasting chocolate brown collar is a fun detail, and the attached hood and water-resistant fabric make it a practical choice for rainy days. Here’s a look at it fully zipped.

Unfortunately, this sand color has sold out, but it’s still available in black, which is a really chic option. I might even prefer the black since I already own several tan trench-style jackets.

I’m wearing the small, and it’s plenty roomy, so I’d recommend sizing down if you’re between sizes.

Barbour Hebrides Longline Waterproof Jacket with Removable Hood

MY THOUGHTS: This is another great trench-style raincoat option from the Anniversary Sale. You really can’t go wrong with Barbour quality, and I love the classic silhouette with the contrasting faux-horn buttons. It’s fully waterproof and has lots of thoughtful details, including a zip-and-snap storm placket, a removable hood, and deep front flap pockets that snap closed.

I’m wearing my usual size 6, and it has plenty of room for layering. It does feel a little more structured when pulling it on and off than the Sam Edelman jacket, but that’s simply due to the more tailored cut. It’s not a deal breaker, and I wouldn’t size up.

I have a feeling this coat will be coming with me to Paris in September!

Nordstrom Cashmere Crewneck Sweater in Beige Beach

MY THOUGHTS: Nordstrom includes a version of this sweater in the Anniversary Sale every year, and it’s one of my favorite wardrobe basics. The cashmere is lightweight, soft, and not at all itchy, and the classic crewneck styling makes it easy to layer under jackets or wear on its own with a few accessories.

It also drapes beautifully over your shoulders without adding a lot of bulk, if you like that look. It runs true to size. I’m wearing the medium for a more relaxed fit.

Nordstrom Cashmere V-Neck Cardigan

MY THOUGHTS: This is another great cashmere option from the Nordstrom brand. It has a flattering V-neck and a more traditional length, making it easy to wear open over a cami or fitted tee, or buttoned up as I styled it here. It runs true to size. I’m wearing the small, but you could go with the medium if you wanted a more relaxed fit.

PAIGE Sofia Flare Jeans

MY THOUGHTS: These are a classic bootcut jean in a nice medium wash, and they have a really good fit and feel. They’re very flattering, albeit not the most current silhouette. The 33″ inseam is quite long, so I’ll need to have them hemmed, but that also makes them a great option for the taller ladies among us!

Splendid Rosalina Short Sleeve Turtleneck: I’m not doing a full review because it’s mostly sold out, but I love it. It’s soft and comfortable, with a great length, and the cable knit and mock neck are such pretty details.

Vince Camuto Mayenni Bootie: I’ve already reviewed these (don’t miss my fitting room try-ons!), but they’re still one of my top recommendations from the sale and remain well stocked in both colors. I love both the black leather and the chocolate brown.

KUT from the Kloth The Jean High Waist Wide Leg Jeans

MY THOUGHTS: If you’re looking for a more affordable pair of jeans, these are definitely worth a look. The Jean from KUT from the Kloth falls somewhere between a slim wide-leg and a relaxed straight-leg silhouette, making them flattering and easy to wear.

They felt a little longer than the listed 31½-inch inseam, although that may just be this particular pair. I noticed quite a bit of inconsistency in inseam lengths across the denim I tried on during this year’s sale.

They also run a bit big. The size 6 fits me comfortably, and I think they’ll relax a little more with wear.

Treasure & Bond Cap Sleeve Stretch Cotton & Modal Rib T-Shirt

PRODUCT DETAILS: A step up from a classic T-shirt, this fitted top is made from soft and stretchy rib-knit fabric lightened with a dose of fluid modal.

MY THOUGHTS: This is such a great basic ribbed tee. The fabric is incredibly soft, which I really appreciate because ribbed knits can sometimes feel stiff. It’s definitely meant to fit close to the body, and the medium fits me just as intended. I also tried the large, but it was too loose around the armholes.

I love the cap sleeves, they’re so flattering. This is an easy layering piece, but it’s just as good on its own with jeans or linen pants this summer.

Dolce Vita Marten Mary Jane: I love these, but unfortunately this color has sold out. Other colors are still available, and they run true to size.

MY THOUGHTS: This is a really nice-quality tee, with thoughtful details like the center back seam, contrasting trim at the neckline, and mixed stripe pattern. The chocolate brown is right on trend, and the longer length is great with lower-rise jeans. It’s definitely worth a look if you prefer a tee with a little more polish than your basic striped T-shirt.
