Best of Beauty: Rodan + Fields REDEFINE Multi-Function Eye Cream

When I decided to start using Rodan + Fields, one of the products I was most excited to try is their REDEFINE Multi-Function Eye Cream.

It is one of their most popular products. In fact, they have a hard time keeping it in stock, so if you want to try it, grab one while you can.

I’ve been having trouble with bags under my eyes for a while. It’s not super noticeable in person yet, but in pictures it can be an issue. True confessions: I retouch the under-eye area in most of my pictures because the way the camera catches the light is not helpful.

REDEFINE Multi-Function Eye Cream offers far more than moisture. It combines powerful peptides to minimize the appearance of crow’s feet, puffiness, and dark under-eye circles, with optical fillers to noticeably brighten the eye area. You can see why I was eager to try it!

After a month of using the eye cream in conjunction with the REDEFINE Regimen, I feel like I’m beginning to see a difference. It’s subtle, and I’m not expecting miracles, but I love knowing that I’m using an anti-aging product that is as powerful as it gets aside from prescription creams or more invasive procedures.

When you start using Rodan + Fields, they encourage you to take a “before” picture so you can compare your skin to how it looks after using R+F for two months. I’m about 6 weeks in, and I’m starting to notice subtle changes in my skin, but honestly, it’s nothing you would really notice if I showed you before-and-after pictures.

Yep, this is me, keeping it real. I’m not going to tell you I’m seeing miracles, BUT I’ve been using good quality products for most of my life, so I don’t expect to see huge changes.

What I really notice about using R+F is how nice my skin FEELS. Often this time of year, the skin on my face is rough and dry, and it can get flaky if I’m not careful to use a richer moisturizer and exfoliate regularly. With Rodan + Fields, I’ve had none of that, and it feels silky smooth all the time, not just after I exfoliate.

In addition to the Eye Cream, I am using the REDEFINE Regimen. I used their nifty Solution Tool to determine the best line for me.

The Daily Cleansing Mask that comes in the REDEFINE Regimen is awesome because it kills 3 birds with one stone. I can cleanse my skin, purify my pores with a mask, and exfoliate with one product. I do hate to wait that 2 minutes for it to dry every single time I wash my face, so I ordered the cleanser that goes with the Soothe Regimen to use when I’m in a hurry.

I worried at first that exfoliating daily would be too harsh for my skin, but the esthetician who does my facials assured me that my skin looks good. (And she was skeptical too, when she heard that I was using a daily exfoliating cleanser.) I was relieved that she confirmed that my new skincare regimen is working well for my skin. That gave me the extra boost of confidence I needed to share that I signed up to be a distributor for Rodan + Fields.

Decide TODAY how TOMORROW looks!

The Rodan + Fields motto is, Decide today how tomorrow looks! I love that. I’m in this for the prevention. I’m not interested in trying surgical cosmetic procedures, so I’m doing all I can to keep my skin in the best possible condition with non-invasive products so I can look and feel my best for as long as possible. I believe it’s important to choose a product line and stick to it to get the best possible results, and I wanted to choose one with proven results.

These products were developed by two of the leading dermatologists in the country who revolutionized the acne market, and then took their medical knowledge and applied it to the anti-aging market. I’m ready to stop trying different products every month and commit myself to a skincare product line that is going to help me fight the signs of aging and give me the best chance of keeping what youth I have left. Ha!

If you want to join me, keep reading. I’m going to answer some of the common questions I’ve been getting since I started this little venture.

How can I know which line is right for me?

There is a nifty Solution Tool that asks some questions and then guides you to the right skincare line for you. Give it a try!

Rodan + Fields Solution Tool

I’d love to try it, but it’s so expensive!

Okay, so that isn’t a question, but it is something I’ve heard a few times. First of all, I will say, quality skincare is usually expensive, and you generally get what you pay for. But there are a few ways to save with Rodan + Fields.

1. Become a Preferred Customer.

It’s a one-time enrollment fee of $19.95, but you will be getting 10% off of all R+F products, and when you consider that the Redefine line is $193, you’ll make that fee back almost immediately.

Rodan + Fields PC Perks

Here’s what’s included:

  • Free Shipping on regularly scheduled orders every 60 days
  • Up to 10% off all Rodan + Fields products, all the time
  • Exclusive access to product promotions
  • Enhanced Customer Service with the PC Perks Hotline
  • Activate all these perks and the convenience of timely, automatic delivery of your favorite Rodan + Fields products with a one-time enrollment fee of $19.95 and your first purchase of $80.00 or more.
  • Look for the PC Perks checkbox during checkout.

2. Become a consultant.

Rodan + Fields Become A Consultant

I realize that not everyone wants the commitment of a new business, but lots of women who sell R+F have a day job. A few end up loving being a consultant so much, they quit their day job to sell R+F full time!

It just happens to supplement my day job nicely, but the main reason I decided to sign on as a consultant is to save on the products. I also figured that if I’m using it, people will ask me about it, and some will probably want to buy it, and I may be able to pay for my skincare and earn a little extra latte money too! It’s worth considering. Plus, I’m all for diversifying income streams. If this blogging gig doesn’t work out, I like knowing I have something to fall back on.

What if I don’t like the products?

Not to sound like an infomercial, but there is absolutely NO risk in trying R+F because they offer a 60-day money back guarantee. Read more about their Satisfaction Guarantee. You can return or exchange any R+F products within 60 days, no questions asked.

Rodan + Fields Interest List

If you want to hear more about Rodan + Fields, my experience with their products, and be notified of news and special offers, you can sign up for my R+F Mailing List here.

In addition to their skincare regimens, there are a variety of tools and other products to help fight the effects of aging on your skin, and I’m going to be trying them out so I can share about them with real life experience. I’ll be sharing a lot more information in these emails than I do on the blog.

If you ARE thinking about joining a R+F team, our team is awesome. I’ve been thrilled with the support from my uplines, and I’d be happy to hop on the phone and chat if you want more information on that!

I can answer any other questions you may have in the comments, or feel free to shoot me an email anytime: [email protected].

I’m super excited to see where this new venture takes me!

  1. I am thinking about the skin care so thanks for the additional information. I have tried many things and recently had to discontinue some expensive Philosophy products because they were irritating my skin and causing excessive dryness. Love the idea of Retinol but my skin doesn’t seem to like it. I’m worried that the brightening and exfoliating products might be too harsh. Thinking about it though.

    1. No, not with this exfoliating cleanser. If I end up using the Soothe cleanser, I might use the Clarisonic with that, but I’ll have to see. I may not need it if I’m switching back and forth between cleansers.

      1. Thanks. I have 2 Clarisonics that I use, my son and daughter use them also, so I was curious. I know there is also a R+F for acne. are there lots of steps to that routine?

        1. It’s called Unblemish and you can see it all here:

There are 4 products: Acne Treatment Sulfur Wash; Spot Fading Toner OR Clarifying Toner; Dual Intensive Acne Treatment; and Oil Control Lotion SPF 20.

There are 2 choices for toner: “Since many acne sufferers have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), the remnant red/brown marks following a healed blemish, we offer UNBLEMISH Spot Fading Toner. However, if you are one of the lucky few who does not experience PIH, use our UNBLEMISH Clarifying Toner as an alternative.”

          Does that help?
