Welcome back to 27 Days of Spring Fashion! Today I’m teaming up with Payless to bring you an outfit with one of the “It” Shoes for spring: the Block Heel Sandal.
Wedges aren’t going anywhere yet, but block heels are another HUGE trend this spring, and the Romeo Block Heel Sandal at Payless is perfection. It comes in Stone and Black. I got the Stone because it will be so versatile with my spring and summer wardrobe.
I styled them with baby bootcut jeans (from Stitch Fix) and a coral banded waistband top that I picked up a few years ago at a local boutique.
I accessorized with gold jewelry and carried my Twist-Lock Shoulder Bag from SheIn. If you like a bargain, this little number is only $23.
The Romeo Block Heel Sandals are actually quite comfortable. They have a 4-inch heel, but it’s stable and easy to walk on. The straps are soft and don’t cut into my feet. The buckle allows you to secure them to your foot so you can walk easily without gripping with your toes.
I wore them to church yesterday and then out to lunch. All told, I had them on for 4-5 hours, and when I got home, my feet felt fine. I could have definitely worn them longer!
These are going to be an awesome addition to my wardrobe this spring and summer. They are perfect for wearing with flares or bootcut jeans, but they also look great with ankle length skinnies as well as skirts and dresses.
Payless is currently running an Easter Sale, and their spring shoes are up to 40% off!
If you like the idea of a block heel, but you can’t do 4 inches, I love the Shelah Block Heel Sandal from their Dexflex Comfort Line, on sale for $19.99. It has a 2 inch heel, so that’s much more manageable.
And the Neptune has a 3½ inch heel on a 1 inch platform, so the heel drop is only 2½ inches, and it’s on sale for $29.99.
My Romeo Block Heel Sandals are marked down to $29.99, and they have a ton of other cute styles too. I picked up several pairs, and I’ll be partnering with Payless to share a few more spring outfits in the coming weeks.

Can’t pull me away from wedges yet. Have to get use to that but cute on you. So excited to put up winter clothes today.
Very cute sandals! And outfit. Love banded tops. i may have to check out the shoes at Payless. Thanks for sharing.
Hooray for the block heel!!! I wore them in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s and then they just disappeared. What a shame because they are usually very comfortable. The one’s you are styling today are super cute and they are an amazing price. Sadly, for me, I can’t wear a heel over 2 3/4 inches. Love your outfit. It is perfect for Spring. I will be doing some shoe shopping this week. Warmer temperatures are here.
I love the outfit Jo-Lynne! Since I have to have arch support, I need to check with my speciality shoe store to see if they have any wedge heel sandals. I sure hope they do! Your top is beautiful!
Have a blessed day!
I meant to say block heel sandals!
Cute outfit! Looks great on you. Will definitely stop by my local Payless store.
Love the outfit. Also love the budget friendly shoes and bag!
🙂 I thought these prices would make some people happy! LOL!!
Love the block heel trend! They are so much easier to walk in then stilettos! 4 inch heels-I’m so impressed. I don’t think I’d be able to get out the door in those. LOL. xx-S
Love the top!!!

I can’t get over the jeans!! These flares look great on you! Such a different look from your usual skinnies–I think you should wear these more often! They look great!
I agree! It’s a great look on you!
Thanks! I have always liked the look, but I’ve been out of heels for so long… it’s fun to get to wear them again!
I always tend to grip with my toes when I wear sandals with heels. It is good to know that these shoes don’t make you do that. I like the color, too, as it does go with a lot of things! Going to check out Payless on my next day off!
These might be my new favorite pair of sandals! block heels for the win!
Altho I always admire the outfits you wear, I must compliment you on something different entirely…….Your posts are always grammatically correct! Could be that I’m a former school teacher, or the fact that I’m old enough to be your mother, but I’ve read several blogs in which the grammatical errors make me cringe! Cheers to you….or your parents and teachers…..If you’re going to write a blog for thousands to read….then check your grammar!!!!
I totally agree and have noticed that about this blog! It’s refreshing to see the correct grammar and punctuation! (I’m a teacher, too.) 🙂
😀
Awww, thanks! I am a stickler about grammar, that is for sure. 🙂
I love this outfit on you, JoLynne! You look amazing in the flare leg jeans. I love the block heel sandal. So pretty!
Have a wonderful day!
Thanks, Julie!
