Happy Sunday, friends! We just arrived home from our weekend trip to visit our daughter in Massachusetts. It was a lot of driving for a short visit, but we had beautiful weather, so that was a relief. I feel like every time we’ve been up that way over the past year, we’ve been stuck driving in horrible weather conditions.
We spent much of yesterday exploring our old haunts, since Paul and I met in this area over 25 years ago. It’s always fun to go back and see what looks familiar and how things have changed. We were also able to get together with my aunt and cousin last night for dinner, so that was fun.
This morning, we got up bright and early to head home and we just got in after making a pit-stop for lunch, which is why this post is going up so late. I’m planning to catch up with some girlfriends tonight, and then I have a busy week ahead.
I have quite a few personal appointments and work deadlines looming, plus a bunch of Becca’s band activities on the calendar. She is now in the concert band, marching band, jazz band, and indoor drumline. It’s a lot of practices, but she loves it, and she has made a lot of good friends that are involved in most of the same groups.
So yeah, it’s going to be a challenge to stay afloat. ‘Tis the season!
I’m going to try to sneak in a short power nap before my friends get here, so I’ll cut this Coffee Talk short. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
