Experiencing Colleen Rothschild Beauty

When I was at the rewardStyle blogging conference last spring, I was introduced to a stunning woman named Colleen Rothschild. As we began to talk, I learned that she is the creator of a luxury skincare brand that bears her name.

We chatted for a while, and I was really intrigued by her story. After years in the manufacturing industry, Ms. Rothschild decided to set out on her own and use her knowledge and experience to develop her own line of products. Her goal was to create a sensory-rich beauty experience that balances proven science and modern technology to give women of all ages and skin conditions healthy, beautiful skin. Well, sign me up, right!?!

I was invited to try out a selection of her products, and I’ve been using them for a few weeks now. I chose to try her Radiant Cleansing Balm, Retinol Supreme Night Oil, Complete Eye Cream, and Ultimate Lip Balm. They also sent the Face Oil Nº9.

My first impression was simply that the packaging and presentation is gorgeous.

Then I started opening them and smelling them all. Am I the only one who does this with beauty products?? I’m all about how they feel and smell, and they passed the test with flying colors. I don’t care for products that have strong perfume smells, but these either have no scent at all or they smell of essential oils and other healthy things.

My favorite is the Radiant Cleansing Balm. It has the strongest aroma of all the products I tried, but it smells wonderful because she has created it to feel and smell like the spa.

This product is designed to clear congested pores and remove impurities while dissolving all traces of makeup in order to leave your skin balanced, soft, and radiant. I just love the consistency of this facial cleanser, and it gets my face really clean. You apply this to dry skin and then remove it by wetting the muslin cloth that’s included. It’s like having a mini-facial every night.

The product I was most excited to try was the Retinol Supreme Night Oil, and I was not disappointed. It goes on so nicely and slowly absorbs into the skin without leaving any greasy residue behind. My skin is so soft when I wake up in the morning after using this. This product combines the regenerative benefits of retinol with the moisturizing properties of plant-based oils, which encourages healthy skin renewal, counteracts the effects of free radicals and environmental toxins, and replenishes the skin’s moisture.

Finally, I have to tell you about this lip balm. I’ve mentioned before that I have very dry lips and I’m always trying new products to get rid of my peeling skin. This is the best lip product I’ve tried yet. I especially like that there’s no smell or taste like so many other lip balms. I put it on every night before bed and usually again in the morning, and it seems to be helping. My lips are peeling less, and they feel softer.

I’m also enjoying the eye cream, and the Face Oil N°9 is amazing too. It combines nine transformative oils that provide an intense moisture boost, which is perfect for those of us with super dry skin.

Overall, I’m highly impressed with this brand. Ms. Rothschild’s attention to detail is evident in everything from the packaging to the consistency of the products to the pleasing aromatics. She’s pretty much created a spa-like skincare experience that you can enjoy in the comfort of home.

  1. Thanks for the great review. I’d love to try the radiant cleansing balm, that sounds wonderful. I have to say when I read your email this morning, I was nodding yes to the effect the time change has had on you. I am in the same boat- I’ve woken up at 5AM every day this week and can’t go back to sleep. By the time I’m up and dressed for work, etc. I’m already feeling tired. I KNOW I will have to nap this afternoon!

  2. Sounds interesting but my daughter is consultant with Rodan & Fields so I use that. I was noticing your manicure. Do you get gel? Looks so good.

  3. Absolutely LOVE Colleen’s products!! Have been using them for 8-9 months now and I won’t go back to anything else!! Whenever she has a sale I definitely stock up!

  4. Great review! I miss your food and beauty tips! How does this line compare with Rodan & Fields? Which one do you prefer?

  5. I am so glad your also going to style some outfits for us women in the south . We only get a month of cold weather and that is usually in January, what is crazy is the sores are stocking winter clothes here and it is 86 outside and you see people in shorts tees and flip flops. Today I wore a pair of jeggings and by lunch time I had pulled my hair in a low pony tail and was wishing I had not wore the jeggings .

  6. Cyndi shared this brand before and I️ thought of trying the cleansing balm but it sold out and wasn’t restocked forever. I️ never did order it I️ just now looked at it again since you liked it so well and it’s out of stock.  I’m surprised if it’s so popular they don’t keep it in stock. I’m sensitive to smells so is it perfume smelling?

  7. What an awesome give away! Thanks for the opportunity! I’ve read so many great reviews for Colleen Rothschild and have not yet tried them. Here’s hoping this is my chance!
    Have a great weekend!

  8. You mention that you use the lip balm at night and then again in the morning. Do you find you still need to apply a lip balm through out the day too? My lips are so dry that I am constantly applying lip balm through out the day.

    1. Hey Jana, I don’t apply throughout the day. I use it at night, and if I think about it I may put it on one more time. I wear lipstick and lipgloss during the day and that keeps them moist, but I still have the dry patches.

  9. Are you still using these products? Could you do an update on your skin care routine? You have beautiful skin!

    Thank you!
