If you’re visiting for the first time today, welcome! I’m a 45-year-old mom of three and full time blogger living in the Philadelphia suburbs. I like classic looks with a bit of an edge, and I try to mix high quality wardrobe basics with more trendy, budget-friendly pieces. I think this outfit is a good example of that.
For those of you who are regulars, yes, I’m wearing my leather jacket again. I usually try not to feature the same wardrobe item in back to back outfit posts, but that’s the way it worked out this week. I guess it just goes to show how versatile this jacket is!
I really love how this leopard scarf pops against the black jacket; it’s really the perfect pairing. To keep the look cohesive, I wore a black layering tee underneath the jacket, and then I wore booties that coordinate with the beige tone in the scarf. I like how the blue jeans break up the beige and black, but I also think this outfit would be great with black jeans.
This jacket is a great example of a classic wardrobe staple that is worth spending a bit more on. The fit and quality are fantastic, and it has some subtle moto styling without being too tough. I scored this jacket for 25% off, and it’s still on sale so if that is something on your wish list, this is a great opportunity to take the plunge.
This scarf is a great value at $19! It’s super lightweight and easy to style, and I like how it has pink undertones rather than yellow as often found in leopard prints. It works great with my cool skin tone.
I’m bummed that these booties are selling out because they’re really cute and very comfortable for a 3.5 inch heel. The slouch bootie is trendy this season, and I think they’re fun for a change. They’re easiest to wear over skinny jeans like these, but they also work with dresses. Just make sure your jeans are skinny enough at the bottom to sit inside without bunching.
Finally, I carried my go-to black satchel. This bag is only available on Amazon at the moment, and the price keeps fluctuating. It’s back up right now, unfortunately; I paid about half the current price, so if you like it, keep an eye on it.
This is the type of outfit I like to wear out to dinner with my husband or to meet friends for lunch… gosh, it sounds like my life revolves around food, doesn’t it!?! #guilty If I were going to be doing much walking, I’d swap out the booties for a black loafer or ballet flat.

Not to be picky but ………..when you style an outfit with 3 inch plus booties or boots, and state another look could be with flats, could you include a picture with the flats?
Hey Judy, that’s a great idea. I often don’t think about it when I’m styling the outfit for the shoot, and then when I’m writing the post, I throw some other ideas out there. But I’ll try to keep that in mind when we’re shooting outfits – or even maybe take a mirror selfie with a couple other options.

I would think so – suede jackets are definitely still in style.
I do not know what made the leopard print so popular, but it always makes me look twice wherever I see it, even on furniture or wallpaper. I bought the shoes you are wearing, having trouble walking in that high of heel, is there a trick to that, I often wear higher heels but for some reason these are giving me trouble, could only get from the bedroom out to my truck before I turned around and went back inside and changed into some flats. Love the scraf

I wore my leopard scarf this morning. It has become my go to as it goes with most of my jackets/coats. Wearing those booties to pick up the pink beige in the scarf was the sign of a true stylist. I love the way you styled it.

Hey Gloria. I’m not seeing as many of them as I was last year, but I don’t think they’re out of style either. I have a couple I’ve been holding onto and am planning to wear. I would say, wear it and enjoy!!!
