Hello and happy Hump Day! This post is my weekly accountability to get dressed and make something of myself every most days, and hopefully some inspiration to moms out there like me who might feel stuck in a bit of a fashion rut. It happens!
My daily mom style this week was a lot of casual looks and once fancy night out! Oh, and a church outfit too! I actually did get gussied up one day this week in a nice outfit to do some shopping . . . or so I thought! Either the photos didn’t do it justice or I need a better mirror in my house. I’m hoping it’s the former! That’s one reason I love taking photos of my outfits. Sometimes it is verrrry enlightening!!!!
So here are the looks I am not embarrassed to share!
Oh but first . . . this little announcement arrived in my inbox this morning. Merry Christmas!!
DAY 1: Super casual, but I think it’s cute and it fits my lifestyle.
Heavenly Hail Hoodie, Athleta (although I still wish I’d bought a color… oh well!)
Queens Luscious Crew, Athleta (this runs big; I bought a size small)
Seven for All Mankind Skinny Jeans {similar} {cheaper}
Tara M. Tiffany Ankle Boots, The Walking Company
DAY 2: Comfy, casual work from home look. This is the sweatshirt that we all decided does not work with leggings. However, I do feel that it’s cute with skinny jeans!
Rubbish Tunic Sweatshirt, Nordstrom
gray tank, Banana Republic
Seven for All Mankind Skinny Jeans {similar} {cheaper}
Gray UGGs . . . sorry, there’s nothing similar out right now that I can find to link you to!
C Pendant (Stella & Dot, but I bought mine on eBay!)
DAY 3: Now THIS I think is a leggings outfit that works. You tell me what you think! It was a rainy day (obviously, thus the rain boots!)
Here’s the side view. This tunic is longer than both the sweatshirt (above) and the sweater I wore with the leggings last week. It’s also pretty baggy, which I know isn’t necessarily a good thing, but I think because of the banded bottom, this works. It’s probably not the most figure flattering look, but it’s fun for a change!
Style & Co. Cowl Neck French Terry Tunic, Macy’s
Hue Ultra Wide Waistband Leggings, Nordstrom (best leggings EVER!)
purple boot socks (old)
Hunter Wellies (I scored mine on a 40% discount at Shopbop; so keep an eye out for good deals!)
circle earrings, Studio Jewel
When I got home, I didn’t want to clomp around in rainboots all afternoon, so I switched into my Tara ankle boots and rolled the boot socks down. I thought this look worked too so I had my daughter snap this photo!
DAY 4: Holiday PAR-TAY! I said in my Fashion Friday post on Holiday Attire that I was going to rework this top for another event, so here it is. Rather than the black ponte knit pants, I wore these fine-wale black cords. They almost read as velvet, and I like wearing them around the holidays. Unfortunately it is hard to get a good photo of them at nighttime. I also switched out my boots for suede pumps (old). I thought they were more fitting for a nighttime event.
I don’t have product links for anything in this outfit. The jeans are old, the red envelope clutch was from the J.Crew Outlet last year, and the top is from CAbi several years ago. Funny, I’ve had it for several years and only worn it once or twice. It’s one of those I almost got rid of and then I decided not to, and now I’ve worn it twice in two weeks! You just never know . . .
I picked up these earrings and bracelets at Francesca’s when I was at the mall the day of the event. I knew I needed something blingy to accessorize this top, and I got a ton of compliments on the earrings at the party. So glad I snagged them. At $15, I won’t care if I don’t wear them that often, but I have a feeling they’re going to be nice to have.
DAY 5: Church! It was soooo cold on Sunday, I just wanted to pull on jeans and boots and a big chunky warm sweater, but I decided that these Daily Mom Style posts need more skirts and dresses. Yes, I thought about the blog as I decided what to wear to church on Sunday. Honestly, if it weren’t for these posts I would wear the same three outfits all. the. time.
I pulled out this old tweed skirt from Banana Republic and paired it with a cashmere sweater (also old) from Ann Taylor. On the way home from church, it started to snow, and I had my daughter take my picture outside with flurries all around!! I thought it would make a pretty picture, but really, it just looks wet and cold. LOL!
The boots are the Umberto Raffini Joelle knee high wedge boots (a product sample from The Walking Company) and those are my very favorite Spanx Tight End Shaping Tights that inspired an entire post all about how fabulous they are! And finally, the bracelet is a gorgeous Kate Spade bangle that I bought while I was creating my All That Glitters collection as a part of my collaboration with eBay!
It was brand new, and it came in a pretty storage pouch. Definitely check eBay for fun fashion jewelry. It’s a virtual gold mine! (Pun totally intended, haha!)

I love the grey skirt with the tights. I don’t wear skirts a lot because I dislike wearing panty hose. Maybe if I wear tights or leggings, I may have more luck.
Can I make a suggestion for a future post? How about one that says if you have a certain hair color with a certain eye color, the best colors for you would be these. Does that make sense?
Hm, yes! I notice that blonds often do a lot of camel and light brown in boots and handbags and things and look really nice. But for me, I like bolder colors. This could make a good post!
I love your gray skirt! I’m going to have to check out those tights too. I also like the sweatshirt and leggings. It looks comfy, perfect for those cold dreary days of winter.

I love all of the outfits, especially the work from home outfits. Will have to check out those Hue leggings at Nordstrom!
Love that Cowl Neck Tunic from Macy’s! It looks so comfy!!
I mean – you look fantastic in EVERY picture – and I do love the tunic – the banded bottom makes it just right!
You’re too sweet! xo
What a great deal you got on your hunters! Love that rainy day outfit! Have you ever done a post on what skincare system you use or a makeup post about favorite products? If not, could you? That close up of you is gorgeous and your skin looks so pretty!
You are sweet! Yes, I have in the past done those posts but it’s been a while! I can definitely do another!
I have but I can do a new one! 🙂
Love that sassy sparkle lady!
All of them are super cute. I love your style posts because they are so accessible – totally looks that I might actually be able to pull off in my daily life and that’s refreshing!
Aw thanks! xo
I also love the tunic with leggings. I have really embraced wearing leggings but feel much more comfortable when my whole bum and hip area is covered.
As usual you look great! I especially love that purple sweater and the gray cowl-neck one too! I love a big cozy sweater that doesn’t totally erase any feminine shape! 🙂
I say it every time but it’s true, no matter what you wear you always look pulled together! Gorgeous mama.
Thank you, but there plenty of days I don’t take pictures. 😉 Those days can be fairly frightening. Ha!
What was the sizing like on the cowl neck tunic thy you wore with leggings? Did you order your normal size? Thanks!
I think it’s a medium, and yes, that’s my normal size. 🙂 I was afraid a small would be too short.
