How to Style White Sandals

For the past few summer seasons, my closet has been filled with beige and taupe sandals with a black pair or two thrown in for good measure. I’ve also had some animal prints, but they fall into that skin-color category as well.

I love wearing sandals that almost match my skin tone because they have a way of elongating the leg, but this spring I’ve been gravitating to more white sandals, and my newest addition are these white Tory Burch slides.

Tory Burch Ines Slides c/o (8) // Hudson Nico Straight Ankle Jeans c/o (29) // Cloth & Stone top (S) // YSL sunnies // Yurman earrings & bracelet

I think these sandals are so sleek and elegant, and I love the tone on tone logo design with the leather cutout Double T and visible stitching. They also have a softly padded leather footbed and a slightly squared-off toe for a modern touch.

These sandals do come in a few other colors, if you don’t care for the white, and they run true to size for Tory Burch. (I wear a size 8 in these and the Miller sandals.)

I have no trouble keeping them on my feet, so I would say they are better suited to flatter/narrow feet, and you may need to size up if you have high arches.

I’ve been wearing these sandals a ton lately, with everything from denim shorts and graphic tees to dresses, and today I’m wearing them with a pink blouse and straight ankle jeans.

These are the Hudson Nico Straight Ankle Jeans, and they have a 28″ cuffed inseam with a 14″ leg opening. The cuffs are not sewn, so you can wear them full-length if you want, although I think I should have cuffed them one more time to make them a bit more cropped. I’ll try that next time.

These jeans have a 9 1/4″ mid-rise and a versatile mid-indigo wash, and the subtle fading on the thighs and single busted-out knee gives them that ultra casual, laidback vibe that I love.

I did size up to a 29, but I’ve put on a bit of weight since my surgery, and Hudson Jeans usually run big, so I’m not sure how to guide you on sizing. If in doubt, order two sizes and return the one that doesn’t work.

I love this blouse with the split neckline and the shirring on the shoulders. It’s made of Tencel, so it’s crisp and cool and great for these warm spring days we’ve been having lately.

The only thing I don’t love about it is the exaggerated curved hemline, but I gave it a front tuck and just let it hang out in the back. This top runs true to size, or size up if you need extra room in the chest.

I love how the white sandals pop against the pink and denim, so I repeated it in my bag as well. Unfortunately, this bag is no longer available in this white color, but there are tons of other options these days. White handbags are probably more on trend than white sandals at the moment!

I like how my silicone wrapped Apple Watch band also ties into the white from the sandals, but it’s spendy. My Apple Watch band actually came with the white sport band, and that would work too. In addition to that, I just wore silver accessories to complete this simple summer look.

  1. Yikes! Nice outfit but the price tag is at least $1,771.00 without the purse and watch. Do people really pay that much for casual clothes?

    1. I rarely add up the cost of an outfit. I prefer to think of each piece in terms of cost per wear. Also keep in mind, my job is to show lots of options, so my spending habits are not that of an average person. But yes, some people do pay this much for casual clothes, and there’s no shame in that. To each her own! 🙂

    2. Even though this is a “casual” outfit, the high-end jewelry makes it extra special and makes it more “expensive” I have decided to wear and enjoy my precious jewelry pieces (mostly gifts from Tiffany’s), what am I waiting for? HAHA!! Yes, you could recreate this outfit very easily with more affordable pieces and it would look just as great.

  2. I just ordered the shoes!!! Can’t wait to get them !! My Millers are the best so hoping I love theses as much ❤️

    1. Let me know how you like them! They felt a little rough against my toes at first, but it didn’t last long. I wore them around the house a bit to be sure, but they’re just fine.

  3. Love this entire outfit and I plan to dig into my closet and revisit some of my white sandals. I haven’t been wearing them lately! Love the Hudson jeans and I would also roll them another time or two. I usually roll a thicker cuff, but that’s just my preference. Nice bag, too!!

    1. Yeah, I was thinking of playing around with a thicker cuff. This is how they came, and I tend to wear things as-is, rather than trying different styling options. I need to challenge myself to think outside the box more.

  4. Perfect timing. I just picked up a white pair of Dolce Vita from Nordstrom rack that look like the Millers but have tiny silver studs added. Only $19.99. I also am gravitating toward white. The beige this year is always the cafe color and it seem kind of muddy to me with a lot of my clothes. I like a true nude. I also ordered a white platform from Nordstrom rack with raffia, white and beige sole. They were $49, so I hope they fit. I think they will be the right sandal for the Zella dress I was asking you for ideas. Its the one like your jumpsuit in the blue. Sizes are going fast, well everything is so I’m trying to get moving on my Summer wardrobe. Love this pink blouse you are wearing. Its the perfect pink. I wish Evereve would do more sales. As for the jeans, I think at my height, I’d have to roll them 6 times to get the crop. LOL

  5. I love the sandals and have the same bag- you can sometimes find it online at various seller sites. Are the sandals in “new ivory” color as listed on the TB website? I didn’t see true white. I know my TB bag is slightly off white/ ivory. Thank you.

  6. Love this! That top is really calling to me! While I can’t be “spendy” most of the time, I can usually take your ideas and use them to shop my closet so I am super thankful for that! Thank you, again, for all you do! It is appreciated!
