No Sun, No Problem: Grab This Supersized Self-Tanner on Sale at QVC

** This post is sponsored by QVC. Thank you for supporting the retailers that support my business!

If you’re looking for a way to get that vacation-glow without stepping foot in the sun, you must try this rich and hydrating self-tanning butter from Isle of Paradise! It’s a gradual self-tanner and a body moisturizer in one, so you can skip your regular lotion and still get soft, smooth skin with a subtle bronze. And the best part is, the supersize version (a $70 value) is on sale at QVC for just $33.98! Today I’m sharing more about why this sunless tanner is my new favorite, plus a few other QVC beauty deals to keep on your radar.

What Makes This Tanning Butter Different

The Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Butter stands out right away because of the texture. It feels more like a rich body butter than a typical self-tanner, which can be drying. It’s designed to double as your daily moisturizer, so you can skip the extra step and just apply it in place of lotion a few times a week, making it ideal for those of us with dry skin.

The formula includes avocado oil, which is rich in vitamin E and helps keep your skin feeling soft and nourished, and it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave that greasy residue. And if you’re someone who’s sensitive to scent, this one has a light, clean fragrance—not overly sweet or perfumey. It’s made with coconut, peppermint, and avocado oils, and I actually really like how subtle and fresh it smells.

A Gradual Glow That Builds

This is a gradual tanner, but it gives a deeper bronze than most. It’s not one of those products you need to apply every day. It’s meant to be used two to three times a week, depending on how dark you want to go. The tan develops over 4–6 hours and builds naturally with continued use.

It’s beginner-friendly too. The formula includes color-correcting technology that helps even out skin tone and minimize redness, and it’s designed to be streak-free when applied in circular motions. Just make sure to wash your hands after applying.

Clean Ingredients

Another thing I appreciate about this self-tanning lotion is that it’s part of QVC’s Clean Beauty lineup. That means it’s made without a long list of common irritants (no sulfates, parabens, phthalates, or mineral oil), and it contains less than 1% synthetic fragrance. It’s also cruelty-free and uses natural DHA—derived from beet root—as the active tanning ingredient.

Real-Life Test: It Replaced My Professional Spray Tan

I usually book a spray tan before a trip to Florida, but this time, after trying out this tanning butter, I ended up canceling my spray tan appointment and just using this instead. It gave me a similar bronzed look without the hassle or the mess. Honestly, I think it looks even more natural because there’s no unevenness or buildup around my ankles and feet, which I’ve run into with spray tans in the past.

The color developed gradually and evenly, and my skin stayed soft and hydrated. I decanted enough to bring with me and kept my glow going throughout our 10-day trip. This self-tanning lotion is now officially part of my regular routine. I’ll keep using it until I get my natural tan this season!

More QVC Fashion & Beauty Deals Worth Checking Out

While I was checking out the tanning butter, I came across a few more QVC fashion & beauty deals that are worth a look.

Miz Mooz Leather Fisherman Slide Sandals

If you’re looking for a sandal that’s comfortable, polished, and a little different from your typical flip-flop, these Miz Mooz slides are a great find. The fisherman-inspired design is on trend, and they’re made from soft leather with a cushioned footbed—perfect with everything from jeans to flowy dresses as the weather warms up.

QVC sent me a pair to try, and they arrived while I was in Florida, so I haven’t photographed them yet. I did try them on, though, and they’re super cute and very comfortable. I chose the Champagne color, pictured above, but they also come in several great neutrals and a few fun colors. They’re currently a QVC Big Deal—on sale for $99.98 with free shipping (regularly $130), and they run true to size.

What I’m Loving from QVC This Month

I’ve included a shopping widget below with these and more QVC deals that caught my eye. Plus, new customers can use code HELLO15 for $15 off $35+ purchases!

  1. Welcome home Jo-Lynne! I highly recommend the Isle of Paradise body butter. I have used it for two years now and just love it. Reminds me, I need to find it in my linen closet and start using now!! Love the Miz Mooz sandals too!!

  2. I have a question for your Q&A, that I enjoy so much. I’m looking for summer shoes that are not sandals with flat to low heels and accommodate my small and narrow foot. You’ve recommended a few shoes on the narrow side over the years that have worked for me.

  3. I always want to buy a self tanner this time of year but when I do the bottle sits as I don’t like the smell or feel. I was ready to push the button on this one but after reading reviews they are all over the place. Many say it does have a self tanner smell and many say makes them orange etc. but then others different experience. I’m very sensitive to elks especially perfumery but you mentioned not much smell. What to do. lol I’ve wasted so much money buying self tanners. Is this offer only for today? I’ve never bought off QVC. Thanks for showing this and I’ll have to decide.

    1. How self tanners develop and how the scents affect people is such a personal thing. As far as the sale, it is not a one-day sale. I assume it lasts through the end of the month.

  4. Hello.
Can you tell about sandals sizing. I wear a size 10 but in sandals 9.5 not sure what to order. Glad you enjoy the sunshine state.
    Thank You

    1. Yes, I often have a size down a half size in sandals so I ordered 7.5 even though I wear an 8 or 8.5 in most other shoes and it fits but barely. I feel like an 8 would’ve probably been fine too, so I feel like he would probably be OK with either size depending on how you like them to fit.

  5. I just put that on this morning. Same brand yes! From QVC 🤗

I used it all last year. It’s the best and doesn’t smell nasty on.

Try it friends you’ll love it!
