June Favorites 2022

Greetings, friends! Today I’ve got my June Favorites for you. This is a roundup of new finds and old favorites that I’m particularly loving right now.

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine // ten // eleven // twelve // thirteen // fourteen // fifteen // sixteen // seventeen // eighteen

June Favorites

one // I shared this sweater tank in yesterday’s post, and a lot of you weren’t a fan. It’s definitely little snug on me, so I ordered the medium to see how it looks with a little more wiggle room. I also think it needs a higher rise jean. I still really love the concept, so I hope I can make it work for me!

two // You can’t really see it, but I’m wearing this sport bra in this picture. I love how you can adjust the straps from the front, and it feels very secure.

I really like it, but it runs very small through the band size. I went with a 34D and I think I need a 36D. I’m usually a 32, so definitely size up in the band size.

Also wearing Vuori Performance Joggers, size medium.

three // This is the first bronzer I’ve found that I like. It isn’t too orangey, and it goes on very subtly and it’s buildable and blends in really well.

I’ve been out by the pool quite a bit, so my skin is getting tan, but I try not to tan my face, so I like the bronzer for adding more color to match my skin. You can watch the video o the QVC website to see more about how to apply it.

four // I was so excited to find these shorts at Saks OFF 5TH for much less than I paid for the ones at Evereve. I mean, it’s a bummer I paid so much more for mine, but if you liked them and didn’t want to spend that much, these at Saks OFF 5TH are a great option.

I’m honestly not sure if they are identical or not, but they look the same. These didn’t seem to be quite as soft, but they fit exactly the same, and for the price difference, I’d definitely go for these.

Also wearing this top and this bracelet, and the earrings and sunglasses are shown below. Unfortunately, the clutch sold out; shop more Mar Y Sol here.

five // I’ve been using this styling cream on my hair for the past few months. My hair stylist recommended it, and I really like how it protects my hair and seals the ends, and it keeps my hair looking healthy and frizz-free.

It’s expensive, but a little goes a long way so it lasts a long time. I’m still on my first tube.

six // This is just an easy top to throw on with shorts or jeans this summer. It’s lightweight, and I like the gathered detail at the shoulders. It also comes in a pretty lavender, as well as a few other colors, and it’s true to size with a generous fit.

Also wearing these shorts (#4) and these sandals (#18) as well as this bracelet, earrings (25% off today) and necklace.

seven // I’ve been having so much fun shopping for swimsuits lately…. said no woman ever. But seriously, I am!

I mean, I still don’t love my body in a swimsuit. I’m almost 50 years old, and I still have several “problem areas” I have to take into consideration, but at least my chest is no longer an obstacle in the hunt for a flattering suit that I feel good in. It’s incredibly liberating to have so many choices and to be able to shop at mainstream department stores.

This cross-front one piece is one of my early favorites, and the first one piece suit I’ve had in a very long time. It’s flattering and comfortable and so easy to pull on and off. I have the size 8, for reference.

eight // This top is my new favorite for a casual workout top when I don’t want to deal with a racerback bra. I like how it’s loose and doesn’t cling to my middle, and the high neckline provides sun protection to my chest, which always get sunburned if I forget to apply sunscreen. In fact, I just ordered another one of these in the black.

Also wearing Vuori Performance Joggers (size medium) and these Birks (size 39).

nine // I featured these earrings in yesterday’s post, and I really like how they add a little something extra to my summer outfits.

Also wearing this ikat ruffle chiffon top c/o Evereve and these rag & bone sunnies.

ten // You’ve seen this dress a bunch already, so it had to go into my June Favorites. It’s my go-to when I want to wear something other than jeans, and it’s currently on sale. It runs big, so size down. I have the XS. (Also wearing these thread insert earrings and Dolce Vita sandals.)

eleven // I love a red nail for the 4th of July with a blue and white outfit, and OPI Big Apple Red is the perfect shade.

twelve // I think these sandals are so sleek and elegant, and I love the tone on tone logo design with the leather cutout Double T and visible stitching. They also have a softly padded leather footbed and a slightly squared-off toe for a modern touch, and you can dress them up or down. I’ve worn them with both dresses and jeans. They run true to size for Tory; I have the 8.

thirteen // This red maxi dress is just begging for blue and white accessories to complete your patriotic outfit. It’s cool and comfortable, and it runs true to size. I’m planning to wear it at the beach next week with those white Tory Burch sandals and this navy and white tote.

Also wearing this bracelet, this necklace, these rattan earrings (style-4) and Tory Burch Miller Sandals in gold.

fourteen // These Kendra Scott earrings are so pretty and lightweight — a great way to jazz up so many of my casual outfits.

fifteen // This brow mousse has replaced my go-to Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, and I didn’t think I’d ever find brow makeup I like better. It’s super precise and mimics the multi-dimensional look of your real hair. Plus it’s waterproof, sweat proof, and smudge proof for 24 hours. For now, it’s only at QVC, and you can get a two-pack for just $38. (I have it in Black/Brown.)

sixteen (hipster bottom here and here or high waist bikini bottom here) // This is another of my new favorite swimsuits. I found it at Nordstrom, but there are more sizes at Bloomingdale’s.

I love the textured piqué fabric; it’s so soft and comfortable, and doesn’t bind anywhere. It’s also reversible, although I’ve only worn it showing the pattern pictured above. I take a size small in both top and bottom.

seventeen // I picked up these Kate Spade sunglasses to have a designer pair that aren’t as pricey as my Saint Laurents, plus I really love that they have silver hardware because I often wear silver jewelry. They don’t have to match, but it’s nice when they do.

eighteen (also at Nordstrom) // These are probably my most worn slides this season. They’re the ones I reach for first when I just want an easy pair to throw on and go. The braided strap and molded footbed are on trend, and they’re also very comfortable on my finicky feet.

Plus, they look great with everything from jeans and shorts to dresses and jumpsuits. These run a bit small, so size up if in between, and I’m wearing the Cafe color.

  1. Wondering what size T-shirt you are wearing for the #6 T-shirt listed in your post
You stated it was generous. Thank you so much

  2. Hi,
I would also recommend the Kerastase hair care line. I think the hair product you featured is cheaper on their actual site though and right now they are running 20% site wide using code FANDF22. My daughters have long, thick hair and this brand of shampoo and conditioner have really conditioned their hair. It makes it look so healthy and shiny. I need to try the product you feature next to protect my hair. Thanks for the recommendation.

  3. All the choices are winners! The coverage (ESPECIALLY: IN THE BACK), style, and color ways of suit number 7 ARE PERFECT. Love, too, the classic and polished look of that black tank dress very much.

  4. I really like your June favorites! I have a couple of questions for you. 1) Do you lay the Caslon dress flat to dry or do you hang it? 2) I don’t have visible eyebrows due to lack of hair and them being so light. Would the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz make it look like I have eyebrows? Thank You!

    1. I haven’t washed the Caslon dress yet, but it’s pretty roomy so I will probably put it in the dryer unless the instructions say otherwise.

And yes, the Anastasia brow pencil would probably be a little easier to use with no eyebrows at all.

  5. Any ideas on Navy sandals? I would love to have a nice pair to wear with dressier jeans/white jeans. I cannot seem to find anything I like. Maybe a block heel? Thanks!
