June Favorites: Things I’m Loving Right Now

Happy Tuesday, friends! I’m back today with my June Favorites. This is a roundup of new finds and old favorites that I’m particularly loving right now. Now that summer is in full swing, I’m enjoying all the sleeveless tops and lighter makeup.

2021 June Favorites: Things I'm Loving Right Now

June Favorites 2021

#1. Michael Stars Iris Muscle Tank // I find myself reaching for this tank a lot lately. It’s super soft, and being plain black, it pairs well with just about any color bottom in my closet — jeans, jean shorts, white jeans, and especially these Paige Mayslie joggers. Oh, it’s also really cute with that stripe Saturday skirt!

#2. Jane Iredale PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation // This is my go-to summer foundation for those days when I want a more natural look. I’ve been wearing it for years. It comes in tons of colors (I wear Latte during the summer), it’s fast and easy it is to apply, and it has great coverage and staying power. Best of all, Jane Iredale products use natural preservatives (no parabens or talc) and clean ingredients to minimize allergy risk and nurture healthy skin.

Here’s the compact, but you don’t really need it. The refill comes in a plastic container that closes and opens easily and keeps it clean and free from breakage.

#3. Jane Iredale Balance Hydration Spray // I use this to set the mineral foundation. All of the Jane Iredale Hydration Sprays are ECOCERT Natural and Organic certified with aromatherapy and skincare benefits. Not only do they make my skin feel fresh and dewy, they also smell wonderful.

#4. Zella 3 pack Low Training Socks  // These are my favorite summer socks — I always wear them with my On Cloud sneakers for workouts and when I want comfortable walking shoes. They’re lightweight and hardly visible inside my shoes, and they stay on my feet.

#5. Birkenstock Mayari Sandals // I’ve been wearing these a lot lately, especially around the house, because my plantar fasciitis is lurking again, and I’m trying to head it off at the pass. I know flat slides are the worst, even though I love the minimalist simplicity, so I’m trying to wear my Birks whenever I’ll be doing a lot of standing or walking. That includes cooking, grocery shopping, and working at my standing desk. I also love the Madrid style.

#6. Treasure & Bond Lightweight Stripe Sweater // This is such a fun little summer sweater, it also comes in a black/natural stripe. It’s super lightweight, and it has that chic, beachy vibe that is so on trend. It pairs perfectly with shorts or cropped pants.

#7. Paige Mayslie Joggers // This is my 3rd or 4th spring-summer season wearing these. They’re my favorite pants for when I don’t feel like wearing jeans but want to be casual and comfortable. They do run a little big in the waist, so you can size down if in between; I have the 27.

#8. Z Supply Reverie Scoop Dress // I featured this yesterday in a casual girl-about-town outfit, but it’s also a really flattering pool coverup. I like to wear something like this when hosting pool parties at the house, or on vacation when I want to throw a dress on over my bathing suit to grab a bite to eat.

#9. Dolce Vita Lester Slide Sandal // These are just a fun, casual slide at a price that won’t break the bank. I love the pattern on the footbed, and they’re surprisingly comfortable to walk in. Granted, I wouldn’t wear them for a day of sight-seeing, but they’re perfect for casual get-togethers or daily errands. They come in lots of other color options, as well. They’re true to size, or size up if in between.

#10. Gap Destructed Denim Bermuda Shorts // I’m enjoying this longer length right now. With a single cuff, they have about an 8″ inseam. The wash on these is really good, and the light distressing keeps them casual.

#11. Supergoop! Mineral Sheerscreen SPF 30 // I love this sunscreen for wearing when I exercise. I wash it off in the shower and do my morning skincare routine afterwards, and then I use my tinted SPF for the rest of the day. This is one of the only sunscreens, mineral or otherwise, I’ve found that doesn’t make my face burn when I do my morning skincare routine after my shower. Plus, it soaks in nicely and doesn’t leave a terrible white cast.

Set of 3 Outdoor Waterproof Flameless LED Pillar Candles

#12. Set of 3 Outdoor Waterproof Flameless LED Pillar Candles // I just ordered these from Amazon to use in my outdoor lantern, and they’re pretty slick! I got a few different sizes, and I use one remote for all of them. They’re on a timer, to come on around 7pm and shut off around 11pm. They’re heat and water resistant, so they’re perfect for using outdoors in the summer heat.

#13. Elta MD Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 44 Sunscreen // I’ve talked about this ad nauseam, but I’m including it because I love this product especially for summer because it helps even out my skin tone and provides sun protection when I’m going to be in the pool and don’t want to wear makeup, but want some sheer coverage.

  1. Hoping #6 goes on sale. Haha! I love #13 which I bought after you posted it before. It is perfect since I don’t really have to wear anything else (except if we were to go out someplace “nice”.) I am going to order the outdoor pillar candles. I think they will be perfect at our new house around the pool (next year!)
What is the color nail polish (the white one) you are wearing? It is so pretty for summer.
    Enjoy your weather!

  2. I’ve had the Jane Iredale powder foundation on my radar for a while now but have been reluctant to purchase because of the price. I wore MAC Studio Fix powder foundation for years, but I have been looking for a CF replacement. So far nothing has come close. Can you share anything more about this one? Does it look powdery and emphasize pores, or does it blur your skin? Thanks 🙂

  3. I love how you put pictures throughout your post that go with the description! Some bloggers just have the little picture at the top and you have to keep scrolling back and forth the whole time. Thank you for making it easy 😀

  4. I been debating on the striped sweater forever. Lol. I missed the best sale they had. Was busy, didn’t order than sale ended. Well there will be another and hope my size. Going to look now. Great picks. I might try the tinted sunscreen.

  5. Oops wrong sweater. The striped one Im waiting for sale. It was a Loft one I missed the sale. I wish Nordstrom would put the Treasure and Bond one on sale.

  6. Well, I have just ordered the Jane Iredale pressed mineral foundation and hydration spray. I’ve realized that I need a little help to even out my skin tone. I really like the candles you bought off of Amazon for your pool area. They also have some really nice solar lights with plastic bulb covers that I’ve put around our front porch, that would add even more ambiance to your pool area. I’m glad y’all are enjoying nice weather today!

  7. Hi Jolynn!

Ella MD is my favorite daily sunscreen and I use the Ella sports sunscreen when I run outdoors. Can you please share which vit C serum do you use daily?

    Thank you!
    Shreya

  8. Love your posts ! What tee are you wearing with the GAP shorts, the short and tee combo look great.
    Thank you !

  9. Love your favorites posts! Might have to check out that Jane Iredale foundation. My family is heading to Portland, Bar Harbor and Acadia for the first time next week. Once again, packing when it might be chilly and then warm becomes my biggest challenge! Any insight into weather in that area? I’ll check out your packing tips posts too.
