#NSale 2020 Try-On Haul Part II

I’m back with Part II of my #NSale Try-Ons! (If you missed it, here’s a link to my #NSale 2020 Try-On Haul Part I.)

This one is way longer than Part I, simply because I had to leave the house yesterday before I got most of my pictures uploaded.

Of course, things are already selling out, but I expect a lot of restocks as people make returns, especially since more shopped online this year than usual. So if something you want is gone right now, don’t despair. It may come back in, and some things even reappear and go on sale again later in the fall.

I share all popular restocks as soon as I see them in my Facebook Group, so feel free to join us over there if you haven’t already! Don’t miss the membership questions, and the checkbox to agree to the group rules.

Let’s dive right in! I’ll try to share the things that are selling out first.

#NSALE TRY-ONS: PART II

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and 135 pounds, with an hourglass shape; and I wear a 6/28 in pants/jeans, a small in tops, a 6 in dresses/jumpsuits, and size 8 shoe.

Eileen Fisher V-Neck Sleeveless Knit Dress // Sale:$99.90; After Sale: $198.00

First of all, I have to inform you that this dress is completely sold out in this color… at least at the time of this posting. It is, however, available in black in all sizes, and the black is a great choice. In fact, I almost bought the black. It really is the perfect casual LBD, that you could dress up or down.

Eileen Fisher makes such good quality garments, and they’re all made in the USA. The fabric is sublime, and the cut and attention to detail is on point. It’s a deceivingly simple dress, but there is so much that goes into making a dress that fits so well and hangs so perfectly from all angles.

Also, it is 50% off!  Seriously, get this dress, if you think you would wear it even a couple times a year. You will have it forever. I do recommend sizing DOWN, though. This is pretty typical for Eileen Fisher — her clothing runs very big. I have the XS.

And yes, I am keeping this dress!!! I can’t wait to pair it with these sandals — they arrived yesterday and are SO comfortable. Will take pix later today. Until then, this is how I envision it.

That would totally work with the black dress too, of course! But I would probably carry a lighter bag — maybe a straw or something patterned.

Ooooh, this!!! Okay, I now I have to put another look together with the black dress. I seriously may order it. I rarely order two of the same item, but I think I would get my money’s worth out of both.

Sorry, I could play all day on my Nordstrom Looks page. Make sure you’re following it, because I try to put up new looks regularly!

Nordstrom Signature V-Neck Cashmere Sweater // Sale:$99.90; After Sale: $199.00

Nordstrom Signature does some of the best cashmere in the #NSale, and they did it again with this one. I’ve got a bunch more sweaters below, but I moved this one up because it’s selling out fast.

At first glance, it’s a very plain sweater, but it is not at all boring. The second I saw it in-store, I knew it would be coming home with me.

It’s really hard to see details on a black sweater in photos, but the v-neck is the perfect cut, and it has ribbed trim around the neck and that does a little cross-over for added interest. You can look at the grey to see the details better.

It hangs straight without clinging, and it’s 100% pure glorious cashmere. (So many this year are wool/cashmere blends… which is okay, but nothing beats pure cashmere, in my humble opinion.)

You will be seeing this sweater A LOT this winter, my friends. A LOT.

It has a split hem, and it’s 26″ long, which is a tad longer than I prefer, but it works with this sweater. It front-tucks beautifully, or you can leave it out. And look how nice and long the sleeves are.

Plus, it is so well-priced. Under $100 for quality that rivals Vince and Equipment. If I hadn’t just picked up that grey v-neck Vince on major sale a few weeks ago, I would get this in the grey too.

It’s selling fast, so if you want one, grab it now. The navy is already sold out, and the grey is low inventory. The black, somehow, is still fully stocked… for now.

This sweater is true to size; I have the small.

also wearing: Paige Verdugo skinnies (reviewed below) with Sofft sneaker mules (reviewed yesterday)

Paige Verdugo Ripped Raw Hem Skinny Jeans Sale:$149.90; After Sale: $229.00

I’ve long been a huge fan of the Paige Verdugo style — they are so flattering, and I love the single ripped knee and raw, distressed hems.

I used to wear this style a ton, but I’ve gotten used to a higher rise lately, and these are just a little too low for my liking (9 1/4″ front rise). They also fit verrrry snug; I think I need to size up to the 29.

For those who like to keep track, these have a 28″ inseam, 10″ leg opening, 9 1/4″ front rise; and they’re 93% cotton, 5% polyester, 2% spandex.

The Mother Looker pair I showed yesterday with a similar wash has a 28 1/2″ inseam, 10″ leg opening, 10 1/2″ front rise; and they’re 95% cotton, 4% polyester, 1% elastane.

I like the rear pockets on the Paige pair better, and I like the wash better too, but I find the Mother pair way more comfortable, and I like the rise so much better, so those are the ones I’m keeping… I think. Ha!

I’m planning to play around with my #NSale purchases today, put some outfits together, and prioritize what to keep and what to return. I don’t want to hold onto things for too long because so many people are waiting for restocks.

ATM Schoolboy Cheetah Print Slub Cotton Tee // Sale:$74.90; After Sale: $125.00

I had no intention of purchasing this tee, but then when I saw it in person, I thought it was just too cute to pass up.

The price point is up there, but it’s very good quality and the type of thing that really elevates a casual outfit. Plus, I can wear it now and then layer it when it gets cold. It also comes in an ivy and black color combo.

Unfortunately, it is a hot ticket item this year, and sizes are going fast. If you do manage to get your hands on one, I recommend sizing up. I’m wearing the medium.

Another option is this Caslon tee in the leopard print.

I just picked one up yesterday, and I’ll try it on soon. I have this tee in white, and it runs TTS. I wear the small.

rag & bone Dre Slim Fit Ankle Boyfriend Jeans Sale:$149.90; After Sale: $225.00

Happily, these jeans are well-stocked! The Dre is a longtime fan favorite of rag & bone fans. They have a wider, looser fit than the skinny jeans I typically gravitate to, and they are super soft and comfortable. They run big; I sized down to a 27, and they are still plenty roomy.

Since these boots have a high shaft, I cuffed the jeans to just meet the top of the bootie, and I like the long, straight leg line that it creates. Even though the light colored boots are high contrast against the dark denim, it seems to work.

I did bring these jeans home with me, but I want to experiment with them a bit more before deciding to keep or not. I like the straight style for a change.

Caslon Leather Moto Jacket with Removable Hood // Sale:$178.90; After Sale: $299.00

So now you can see how cute the leopard tee is layered under a moto jacket. This jacket is by Caslon, and what drew me to it in particular, over the other leather motos in the sale, is the layer look with a removable hood. I love how it gives the rugged jacket a more sporty, weekend vibe.

That said, it is low inventory, so if you want another option in the same price range, this one is my top pick.

I like that the lapels aren’t super big like some of the others in the sale, and I’ve had a Bernardo leather jacket (from the #NSale 2018) that I’ve worn to death, and I’m very happy with the quality.

also wearing: Paige Verdugo jeans (reviewed above) and Vince booties (reviewed in yesterday’s post)

Kut from the Kloth Kelsey High Waist Raw Hem Crop Flare Jeans // Sale:$58.90; After Sale: $89.50

These jeans are really fun. The crop flare is trending right now, and I love the slight distressing on the black wash, and the raw hem of course. They work pretty well with the higher shaft booties.

They have a 26 1/2″ inseam, which is pretty much the perfect crop length on me, and a comfortable 10 1/2″ front rise. I would say these run big; they’re a little roomy on me. I may need to size down to get a closer fit in the thigh, which I find to be more flattering.

Here’s how they look with mules.

As you know, I’ve been trying to embrace the crop flares for ages, but I have a pair very much like this, and I never find myself reaching for them when I’m getting ready to go out.

I don’t know if that’s because they aren’t really seen much in my neck of the woods, or because they just aren’t me.

All that to say, I won’t be keeping these because I do have a pair that serves the same purpose.

Incidentally, a variation of the pair I have are in the #NSale as well.

This is the Mother Insider, and it fits me really well. I like how it’s snug in the hips and thighs and then flares just enough to balance out my hips without being too dramatic.

Of course, my pair has the sewn hem, but otherwise they’re the same as the #NSale pair. It’s even the same denim wash — Not Guilty.

Okay, moving on…

J.Crew Camo Ringer T-Shirt // Sale:$25.90; After Sale: $39.50

As of right now, this tee is fully stocked! I love the hot pink contrast trim on the neck, and the crewneck isn’t super tight, which is a plus in my book.

It runs true to size, and it’s the perfect top to wear with shorts now, and with jeans and a moto jacket later!

also wearing: Mother Le Sylvie High Waist Raw Hem Crop Jeans (sold out) and Marc Fisher LTD. Oshay Pointed Toe Booties (reviewed in yesterday’s post)

Free People Camo Clare Tee Sale:$24.90; After Sale: $38.00

Not surprisingly, this tee is selling out. It’s always popular. So soft, and I love the fit. The rolled, raw-edge short sleeves and hem are fun details.

The price is much better than the ATM schoolboy tee, and it makes just as much of a statement. I am in the small, but the website suggests sizing up, so I ordered the medium to try. I don’t mind the fit of the small, though.

Kut from the Kloth Donna High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans Sale:$58.90; After Sale: $89.50

I’m pretty impressed with these jeans. They have a lightweight, crisp feel to them that is almost dressy, but then the raw hems give them a bit of an edge.

They’re a classic ankle skinny jean fit with a 28″ inseam, 10″ leg opening, and 10 1/2″ front rise. Oh, and they also come in petite sizes. The price is great, and they fit true to size. I’m in the size 6.

Okay, now for some blouses… need work wear? I found some good ones!

Vince Camuto Print V-Neck Blouse // Sale:$29.90; After Sale: $59.00

If you need work wear, or you are at home doing a lot of teleconferencing, this leopard blouse is another great now-and-later piece, and it’s half off!

Here’s how it looks with black skinny jeans and a front-tuck.

I love the print (of course, I am nothing if not predictable) and the way it is cut close around the arms. It’s a little longer than I like, especially in the back, but if you tuck it in all the way around, that wouldn’t matter. (It’s very lightweight so it tucks without bulk.)

I’d say this blouse runs big. I’m in the small, but I could probably size down to the XS.

It also comes in a black/white polka dot, and here’s another leopard option from Halogen, which I didn’t see until just now.

I may order this one to compare. It has a straight hem, which I prefer, and I like the 25″ length better as well.

Vince Camuto Polka Dot V-Neck Top // Sale:$48.90; After Sale: $74.00

And for a long-sleeve option, there’s this. It’s actually 3/4 sleeve, which is perfect for starting to wear now, if you’re in the A/C. It also comes in the leopard.

I feel like this one runs smaller than the sleeveless blouse (above). The small fits perfectly in this one — it even looks a little better from the back.

This one looks better untucked because it’s not as voluminous, but I’d still probably front-tuck it because it’s kind of long.

also wearing: Kut from the Kloth Donna High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans (reviewed above) and Steve Madden Forever Chain Pointed Toe Mules (reviewed yesterday)

Vince Rib Trim V-Neck Top // Sale:$149.90; After Sale: $245.00

This blouse is in a totally different league than the ones above, but if it’s in your budget, it’s a beautiful choice. It is not silk, however. It’s 100% triacetate, which is made from cellulose (wood fibers).

It’s still gorgeous, though, and I like the relaxed, rumpled finish; and the rib trim is a subtle detail that elevates it even more.

The cut and fit is superb, and I like how it hangs in the back, as opposed to how long the Vince Camuto blouses are (above). It does curl under a bit at the bottom, but I think that could be steamed out.

This blouse would layer beautifully under blazers, moto jackets, and cardigans this fall. It’s TTS; I’m in the small.

Okay, so now we’re going back to sweaters… I may have tried on every Vince and Nordstrom Signature sweater in the sale this year. #ihaveaproblem

Vince Funnel Neck Wool Blend Sweater // Sale:$199.90; After Sale: $365.00

To know me is to know my love for luxe sweaters, and this one did not disappoint. It’s thick and cozy and so gorgeous.

Like the v-neck one I showed yesterday, it has those flecks in the knit, which adds interest, and I love the extra long ribbed cuffs. A funnel neck can go all kinds of wrong on sweaters that aren’t as substantial, but this one actually stays in place.

This sweater is 67% wool, 30% nylon, 3% alpaca, but I didn’t find it terribly itchy.

It’s 25″ long and cut generously, but I don’t think I would want to size down. (I’m in the small.)

Vince Wool & Cashmere Hoodie // Sale:$199.90; After Sale: $365.00

I wanted to love this cashmere hoodie… actually, I didn’t, because I already found too much to love in this sale.

But anyway, it’s very thin, to the point of being see-through. Otherwise it feels AMAZING on. It’s 70% wool/30% cashmere and 23 1/2 ” long.

If you like it but are worried about the show-through, it also comes in olive. It’s TTS; I’m in the small.

And I’m looking at the rear-view on those Paige jeans and thinking maybe I should keep them instead of the Mothers… decisions, decisions!

Vince Mock Neck Step Hem Wool & Cashmere Sweater // Sale:$199.90; After Sale: $365.00

Again, this is too see-through for my liking, but it is a gorgeous sweater. The mock neck is tall and stays in place, but it’s soft and just loose enough to be comfortable. (Sometimes turtlenecks make me feel claustrophobic, but not this one.)

It has gorgeous knit details on the sides, and traditional on-shoulder seams (yay!) It hangs nice and straight, not clingy, but not really a relaxed fit either. It is just sleek and classy and gorgeous.

I have half a mind to order the Bordeaux color… I really enjoy wearing that color in the fall and winter. It looks great with dark denim and black pants, and you can always add animal print for interest.

I would totally wear this look to church, out to dinner, anywhere this winter.

If it suits your lifestyle and budget, I highly recommend this sweater. It runs TTS; I’m in the small.

Okay, now for some cardigans!

Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Leopard Cardigan // Sale:$79.90; After Sale: $134.00

I caved and ordered my 2nd ever Barefoot Dreams cardigan. I have one of these cocoon cardigans that I’ve had for years, and I still wear it a ton all winter long. I like to throw it on over my pajamas in the mornings.

No surprise here, this one is selling out fast. These always do, and the leopard is just too cute.

Happily, the cocoon cardigans ARE still in stock, so if you haven’t snagged one, I highly recommend them. I am wearing the small in the leopard above, but I have a medium in the cocoon.

The leopard definitely is cut more generously than my cocoon cardigan, but I can’t say for sure if this year’s version is the same as mine or not.

FYI, skip the slippers. I’m not a fan. They’re stiff and clunky. I much prefer the UGG mocs. Hopefully they’ll go on sale closer to Christmas.

Nordstrom Signature Open Front Cashmere Cardigan // Sale:$178.90; After Sale: $299.00

Once again, Nordstrom Signature delivers. I don’t have many cardigans because I feel like they can lean frumpy, but I do like to have a couple options in my closet, and this one is absolutely divine.

It has a simple silhouette with a straight open front and relaxed shawl collar that lays perfectly over the chest. It’s a great length — not so long as to overwhelm, but long enough to be cozy and create a slim silhouette.

Some cardigans have lots of extra fabric that can add visual weight, but this one is perfect. I also appreciate that it does not have pockets. I know people like their pockets, but again, they can add visual weight and be distracting.

I went for the black tweed, and I really like the flecks in the knit. That seems to be a theme for me this season! It also comes in navy and a gorgeous beige.

I came *this close* to ordering the beige, but as much as I’m drawn to that color, I think I’ll get more wear out of the black. That said, take a look at the beige to see the details in the knit. It’s hard to see those on the black in pictures.

Oh, one more thing to note! I size down to an XS in this sweater. In my experience, Nordstrom Signature runs big, and I like my cardigans to fit closer to the body.

AllSaints Tara Sweater // Sale:$199.90; After Sale: $350.00

I tried this sweater on at the mall (obvi) and I didn’t love it. It’s good quality and has nice details, but the color is drab, and it just hangs on me.

I forgot that I had ordered the cinnamon marl, and when that arrived in the mail, I decided to give it a shot.

For whatever reason, I like this so much better! Once again, I blame the mask. Nothing looked quite right in that dressing room.

It still hangs, but as I moved around, I could see how nicely it flows. The high side slits are fun, and the color is really nice.

I like how this color looks like fall, but also complements my cool complexion. I can see myself wearing it right through the winter. (Sometimes I buy rust sweaters and wear them a ton in the fall and then never again until the next fall season.)

I don’t wear a lot of leggings, but this would actually look really good with them. In fact, I think that is why we are seeing so many longer sweaters this season — so many people are living in leggings, and this is a nice way to make them look dressier.

FYI, it’s TTS; I’m in the small.

KUT from the Kloth Donna Button Fly Ankle Skinny Jeans // Sale:$58.90; After Sale: $89.50

I really like these for lower priced denim. In fact, Kut from the Kloth really knocked it out of the park. I have two more of theirs to show you below.

These have a great fit, and I like the subtle distressing and raw hem. They’re TTS; I’m in the 6.

Halogen Easy Throw-On Cashmere Ruana // Sale:$98.90; After Sale: $149.00

I had my eye on this from the get-go, so I made sure to order one as soon as the sale went live on Tuesday.

Turns out, it is still fully stocked, so there was no need to rush, but I still wouldn’t wait around if you like it. It could start to disappear. It’s O/S and comes in a bunch of colors.

It’s a super soft, thinner cashmere, very lightweight and comfy. I wouldn’t call it cozy exactly, but it’s soft and feels really nice on.

You can layer it over a long sleeve tee or even a turtleneck when it gets colder, but for now, it’s cute over a short-sleeve tee or cami. Also, it is sewn under the arms, so it stays in place… unlike the one below.

AllSaints Rib Knit Ruana (sold out) // Sale Price: $111.90

This is sold out, but I’ll show it to you anyway, in case it gets restocked… or really, just to tell you that I wouldn’t bother.

It’s a beautiful knit, but it’s a lot to manage, and it isn’t sewn under the arms so it slides all over the place.

When I was in the mall, they had it on a mannequin belted, and that looks very chic, but it’s not really my style. Needless to say, I did not bring this one home with me.

Caslon Drape Collar Knit Blazer // Sale:$39.90; After Sale: $69.00

This is no where near as bright as it appears in the picture above; the one below is more accurate. I tried to fix it in Lightroom, but I couldn’t.

Any-who. This jacket is a nice, affordable outfit completer that you can probably wear 3 seasons of the year, depending on your climate. It comes in tons of colors, it’s soft and stretchy and comfortable, and the price is fantastic.

I really like the exposed seams on the back, and the way it’s cut to be a little longer in the front. If you need work wear, this could be a really useful piece, but it’s great for casual wear as well.

I hemmed and hawed and finally decided to get the Burgundy Beet, but I’m also drawn to the classic black, and the Olive Sarma would be nice for fall too… For $40, I may go ahead and get another! This jacket is the type of thing I rarely buy, but then I find myself needing something like it from time to time, and wish I had one.

This jacket runs TTS; I’m in the small, but you may want to size up if you want to wear it over long sleeves.

Cloud X Running Shoe // Sale Price: $99.90; $139.95

These are selling fast, but I figured they were worth showing you in case of restocks. I’ve been wanting to try a pair of these for a while, so I snapped these up as soon as the #NSale went live online.

I can see why they are so popular — they are lighter than air and sooo comfortable. There’s moderate support, but they’re intended to be a neutral running shoe. I wouldn’t run in them, but I can see wearing them when I am going to be doing a lot of walking and want to be comfortable.

Unfortunately, I didn’t think through my color choice very well. I like these, but that’s a lot of cotton candy pink, and it doesn’t really work with my wardrobe. The black is kind of harsh, so I’m undecided on these… I guess I could buy some beige joggers, ha!

Halogen Faux Fur Coat // Sale:$99.90; After Sale: $199.00

I have this coat from last year, and it’s was super popular. I’m shocked it’s still in stock! It’s a fun one for date night or anytime you want to be a little extra.

It’s soooooo super soft, and has a nice texture to it. I think it looks more expensive than it is. Definitely worth the $99 price tag! It’s TTS; I have it in the small.

Rails Collins Military Jacket // Sale:$124.90; After Sale: $198.00–$220.00

Remember that Rails military jacket in the cheetah print that I scored for 60% off last spring?

Well, it’s part of the #NSale! It comes in sage, rose, and black.

Still an investment piece at the sale price, but way more palatable than the full retail, and such a great look. I’m not a fan of the traditional utility jackets, but this shorter style with the toggle-drawstring hem is perfection.

HIGHLY recommend, if it’s in your budget. It’s TTS; I have the small.

The North Face Miss Metro II Water Repellent Hooded Parka // Sale:$224.90; After Sale: $320.00

And finally! Another one from last year that has been brought back… I LOVE this The North Face parka. I wore it a ton last winter. It’s so super warm, and has a flattering fit — that’s hard to find in a long parka!

It’s lightweight, and the material feels really nice. I sized up to a medium, but I’m wearing a small in these pictures… FYI, these pictures are from last year.

And that, as they say, is a wrap!

Phew! Again, I apologize for the length of this post, but I figured a 3rd #NSale try-on haul would be overkill.

As a reminder, I’ve linked all my 2020 #NSale coverage at the top of the blog so it’s easy to access. When you use my Nordstrom links to shop, it helps support this blog, and it is SO very much appreciated!

  1. Definitely some more great finds. I love the color of the All Saints Tara sweater, but it’s currently sold out in my size. I did go ahead and put the next size up on my wish list, but it would not surprise me at all if that is sold out by Monday. I agree that the black Kut crop flares look big on you. I don’t think they’re flattering like the other pair of black crop flares that you showed… Those were very flattering.

The AG jeans that I ordered for my husband are sold out, but it gave me an excuse to order a pair of Grey ones for him. It’s been a little frustrating to see things that I especially want selling out, but I also know from the past 2 years that most of it is likely to be restocked.

Thanks again for your posts… Super helpful!

  2. Wow!! What a try on. I love seeing what all the bloggers find that I follow and each ones different  style. I love how you pay particular attention to all the little details. I took a pic of the mother jeans and one of the Paige jeans, and I think the second pair does have a better fit, and look but comfort is important too! Just my opinion 🙂 I do like all the purchases you’ve made. Our sale will start soon in Canada so patiently waiting 😉. Love that little casual jacket too so cute! Happy Weekend

  3. Lots of great clothes here. I ordered 3 things yesterday in the pre-sale. So I’m delighted so far at the option.

I’m recouping nicely from the knee replacement, but sure get drowsy looking at the clothes, etc. Hey I may be saving myself some money!!  Lol

    Have a great weekend.

  4. Thanks for all your hard work on helping us with this sale. Today I went to view my wish list items and noticed one of the two main things I wanted is already sold out 😔
I even opened a Nordstrom account as I had closed it several years ago. Anyway I really wanted a pair of adidas tennis shoes and a Kate spade wallet and the tennis are sold out in my size. Really? What are the chances of them restocking items before the rest of us can shop?

  5. I love all of your picks! I was wondering if you were able to see/try the Theory Oaklane cashmere trench coat? I was hoping that it might be my splurge buy of the sale but clearly it was popular because it sold out within the first day! Just interested in your thoughts in case they restock it.

    1. I did, but they only had the large, so I couldn’t really tell how it would look in my size. The color seemed kind of drab, and the stylist I was working with didn’t seem to care for it, and I just left it and forgot about it. I know a few bloggers who got it and love it, so maybe I should have ordered the small, but I think I’d rather allocate that spend on a sweater or boots that I know I’ll wear a ton.

  6. Wow!!! What a haul.. My wish list is big but, I am not sure if anything will be available when I can use my N credit card to shop on the 13th. I can’t understand are people paying full price and that’s why things are selling out??

    Thank you Jo-Lynne

    Blessings

    Cindy

    1. It’s a tiered sale, so Icon and Ambassador levels are currently able to shop. Influencers start on Monday, and Insiders on Thursday. this is the first year they’ve done it this way. It used to be, Icon members could shop one or two days early – in store only. And then when it went live online, all cardholders could shop online or in-store. Then non-cardholders got to start a week later. In the past couple of years, when it opened online, it was a mess. The website would crash, orders would get canceled, people were upset. So, this new way they are doing it has made it easier for them to manage orders and inventory, but I don’t care for how it divides people up based on how much they spend. Then again, they didn’t ask me. 😉

      1. Thank you Jo-Lynne for explaining this to me I really appreciate it!! I hope this year isore successful!! I believe the changes came do to the pandemic?

        Blessings

        Cindy

  7. Even though I’m not shopping the Nordstrom sale, it’s really nice to see what’s out there for fall. I quite like the black cardigan, it’s something a little different, but still so versatile.

  8. I really don’t need anything right now, maybe a new wallet-but it sure is fun virtual shopping with you!
And you look great in your choices!
That sweater in burgundy will be perfection -might have to take a second look
Thanks Jo-Lynne for the excellent coverage of this NSale!

  9. Whew!  I’m tired from all of the clothes you tried on, but I really appreciate you doing so!  I added the black Kut from the Kloth jeans to wish list, and I’m going to check my closet to co firm that I need them.  I think I do 😳.  Because my fall clothes are packed away in the very hot attic, I can’t go thru them to see what I really need, but I keep all of my jeans in my closet year round.  I hope you are having a nice Saturday.

  10. That Eileen Fisher dress is A-Mazing!
Usually a knit pull over dress is kind of shapeless, and if you have a full bustline they seem to hang funny and can make you look pregnant.
This one is flattering even from behind.
The color is lovely. I hope they re-stock it in that color….
    …..I’ll be waiting…

  11. Great try on hauls! Thank you for all your work on this. Did you purchase the Ralph Lauren suede jacket with the asymmetrical zipper? I have it in my wish list.

      1. I noticed it was out of stock. I hope it will be restocked before the sale ends. I love summer and not looking forward to winter, but fall and winter clothes are the most fun to shop for. I’m looking forward to the outfits you will put together.

  12. Based on how the model on the Nordstrum site looked in the black version of the dress, I would have never given it a second look. But it looks AMAZING on you!!! It is indeed a lovely dress and a timeless piece for anyone’s wardrobe. Great find!

  13. Keep the Rag and Bone!!! You look amazing in them! That whole outfit head-to-toe looks like a million bucks on you!
I also like the Paige better than the mother on you, but both look awesome with your figure. Thanks for all of your work! My biggest item on the wish list is a Barefoot Dreams cocoon cardi…now I’m wondering if I should do medium since this post??? I have the small in my wish list, and I’m roughly the same size as you, but with a smaller bra size. Thoughts?

    1. It’s a hard call. I feel like the medium is pretty snug when I pull it out of the dryer. It does stretch some, but the sleeves are rather narrow. Way different than the leopard one I tried in this post. But they may have changed it… mine is a few years old. I’d be tempted to order both and return one.

  14. Hi Jo-Lynne, I managed to get the Eileen Fisher dress in black before it sold out (really wish I could have gotten it in hibiscus!). It fits me well and I agree, it’s an elegant look that dresses up and down. Have you styled it for cooler weather? What kind of jacket or sweater would you wear with it? I’m not a jeans jacket person, and prefer less structured garments. I tried a couple of my cardigans with it but everything felt like a mismatch. Since this dress is sold out I understand if you don’t want to feature it anymore, but thanks for any help you might provide.
