When giving gifts from our family to another family, I like to give something everyone can enjoy or at least benefit from, so I usually look for practical gifts for the home.
At our age, it can be tricky to find something to give that they don’t already have, but I found some great options at Macy’s. Even better, their Black Friday Sale is happening now, so you can get up to 70% off specials or save 20% off select items with code BLKFRI.
First up is this Cuisinart Double Flip Belgian Waffle Maker. There’s always someone waiting for a hot waffle, so I love that this one actually makes two at the same time!
You spoon the batter into the one side, close it, flip it, and spoon batter into the other side. Then there’s an adjustable heat setting so you can make your waffles as soft or crispy as you like.
The brushed stainless steel housing adds a sleek, modern touch to any kitchen and makes it so easy to clean. There’s even a drip tray for catching any overflow. If you know someone who likes to cook big family breakfasts, this is an ideal gift.
The hostess in your life will love this next gift. This Chip ‘N Dip Bowl has a clean, modern design that fits into any decor. The white porcelain bowls with iron and wood stand makes such a great presentation.
Unfortunately, mine sold out, but this one is similar. This is the perfect serving dish for all those casual weekend gatherings, and it can be used in or outside.

There’s nothing better than getting new towels, and Macy’s Hotel Collection Finest Elegance Bath Towels are luxuriously soft, thick, and super absorbent.
I chose this Flax color because it will go perfectly in our guest bathroom which is about to be renovated, but this towel set comes in a large selection of colors, and there’s also a bath sheet option.
I also noticed that the Delsey Chatelet Air 2.0 Luggage Collection is on sale right now at Macy’s! I have several of these pieces, and they’re as practical as they are chic and stylish.

I’m carrying the Delsey Chatelet 21″ Large Carry-On Spinner, but any of these pieces would make a wonderful gift for the world traveler in your life. The interior is so well laid out and organized, it makes packing a breeze!
My favorite wine glasses are also on sale, and who can’t use a fresh set of wine glasses? These are really beautiful, and they’re crafted of durable European crystal that is break resistant and dishwasher safe.

Another gift that your loved ones will be thrilled to unwrap is the NESPRESSO by De’Longhi Vertuo Plus Deluxe Coffee & Espresso Maker with Aeroccino Frother. It makes both coffee and espresso, and every coffee lover should have one of these. We love ours!
These are just a few examples of the many practical gifts for the home you can find at Macy’s. Shop now for 70% off specials, and don’t forget to use code BLKFRI to save 20% off select items!

I have to say, I LOVE my waffle maker! Once you make your own, you will never buy the frozen ones! Speaking of frozen, I freeze my homemade ones and they reheat beautifully.
I have the single version of the waffle maker and really like it. Sandie…….How do you reheat your frozen homemade waffles, so they don’t get mushy?
Kathy, I reheat mine from frozen as well. I find they are best when I defrost for a few seconds at 50% power in microwave and then toast to crisp them up. If I put them right in the toaster, they don’t heat all the way through.
Kathy, I do what Jo-Lynne does, or I put them in a 300 degree oven until they’re hot and crispy.
I agree, homemade is best!I have the single one too, and we love them. I don’t use it enough, though.
I really love the Lenox dinnerware, not a bad sale price either and would fit well in my decor.. Do you know where the tall carafe came from on your table, did not see that on the Macy’s website. If I remember from your dining reveal , the china in your cabinet looks like my mother’s best I can tell which is Rosalinde pattern which I’m afraid I never use but enjoy looking at it in my china cabinet. Will strongly consider this Lenox, love it!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
The carafe was part of the Lenox dinnerware set but might be discontinued. The china is Haviland Apple Blossom. It was my grandmother’s. 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving, Nancy!
I love the wine glasses, great price!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family 🥂
Right!? Such a good deal.
