Hi friends! It’s time for another edition of What I Wore Lately. This is where I round up my daily outfits from the past couple of weeks and share a little about where I wore them and how they came together.
Before we get started, I wanted to let you know that I just updated the Cyber Week Shopping Guide with some new deals.
Anthropologie just started their 30% off sale, which includes a lot of premium denim that rarely goes on sale. And Shopbop is doing 25% sitewide, no minimum. I’ve never seen them do this before! I tried to note all the items I’m wearing below that are on sale.
I also just put up a post with Macy’s, and they have some great deals on gifts for the home. Okay, this is what I’ve been wearing lately…
What I Wore Lately: Two Weeks of Casual Outfits
SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and I usually wear a small in tops, a 28 or 29 in jeans, and a size 8 shoe. Gifted items are indicated by c/o; everything else I purchased myself.
This is an outfit I wore for a weekday Costco run. We had friends over for dinner that night, and I wore the sweater/jeans/sneakers sans leather jacket for that.
Equipment sweater (S; 25% off) // Frame Le High Straight Ankle Jeans (29; 40% off) // Veja sneakers (39) // Caslon leather moto (S) // Kendra Scott earrings // similar pendant // John Hardy rings (50% off)
I had a photo shoot the next morning, and I wore this afterwards to work from home for the rest of the day.
And then I wore this the next day to the hair salon and kept it on to host friends for David’s birthday that evening.
I wasn’t even thinking about how stupid it was to wear a light colored cashmere sweater to have my hair dyed dark brown! My hair stylist put saran wrap over the back of the neck of the sweater before she draped me, and I kept my arms covered while she applied color.
My Mother Hustlers are a discontinued wash, so I linked the closest thing I could find; there isn’t much in a grey wash out right now. This pair (30% off) is more grey, but it’s a straight leg.
old Vince sweater (S) // similar Mother Hustler ankle flares 30% off (28) // Vince Camuto booties (8; extra 25% off $79) // Kendra Scott earrings // similar pendant // John Hardy rings (50% off) // Goyard tote
The next day was Saturday, and we were having some strangely warm weather for November. I wore this all black look to run some errands. I knew we were going to a small local concert that night, and figured I’d keep it on for that.
I just found these shoes in the basement; they’re an #NSale purchase from 2020, I believe. I was so happy to discover I still had them! Unfortunately, I can’t find anything remotely similar to link for you… maybe these?
AllSaints tee (M; solid black in stock and 25% off) // Fidelity Cher (similar jeans 40% off with code OHJOY) // old AGL loafers (similar) // B-Low the Belt belt (M) // similar John Hardy hoops // similar pendant // John Hardy rings
I was planning to throw on my leather bomber and wear this to the concert, so I went ahead and took a picture when I still had some daylight.
But then that night, I decided I wanted to wear boots, so I threw on my Dolce Vita Vikram Booties. They have a nice, tall shaft that fits nicely under these slim straight leg jeans. The Volli is similar, just not quite as high a shaft, and they’re 30% off!
Treasure & Bond bomber jacket (S) // AllSaints tee (M; solid black option 25% off) // Fidelity Cher (similar jeans 40% off) // Dolce Vita Vikram Booties (8; similar style that’s 30% off // B-Low the Belt belt (M) // similar John Hardy hoops // similar pendant // John Hardy rings
Then I thought maybe it was too much black and leather, so I switched into the Mother Weekender flares in a medium blue wash – sorry, the colors are really off in this picture b/c it was dark outside.
I was probably way over-thinking it, but I actually did feel better in the blue jeans when we got there and I saw how everyone else was dressed.
Treasure & Bond bomber jacket (S) // AllSaints tee (M; solid black) // Mother Weekender Flares (29; similar option 30% off / similar for under $30) // Dolce Vita Vikram Booties (8; similar style for 30% off // B-Low the Belt belt (M) // similar John Hardy hoops // similar pendant // John Hardy rings
Those are the Mother Weekender jeans that went on sale and then promptly sold out, but these are the same jeans in a similar wash, and they just went 30% off! The wash is so similar, it’s almost imperceptible. I would snap these up in a heartbeat if I didn’t have mine already.
Mother Weekender Flares (29; similar option 30% off) // Jenni Kayne sweater 25% off (S; similar for less) // Dolce Vita Volli Bootie 25% off (size 8; 30% off brown & black at Anthro) // Kendra Scott hoops 30% off
This is what I wore to church the next Sunday morning, and this entire outfit is on sale. These jeans are a washed black, and the booties are black suede. There’s more of a contrast in real-life.
And this Andrew Marc coat is a steal at Saks OFF 5TH. It’s an additional 25% off the markdown price with code BLACKFRI! I love the boucle texture and button tab cuffs.
Naadam cashmere boatneck 40% off (S) // Paige Claudine 25% off (28; similar for less) // Vince Brannen booties (8; extra 25% off $229) // similar John Hardy hoops 50% off // John Hardy rings 50% off // Andrew Marc coat c/o (S; extra 25% off $149)
I threw this Vuori set on when I got home from church and wore it for the rest of the day.
I had a photo shoot the next morning, and this Vuori set was the last outfit we captured, so I wore it to a doctor appointment afterwards. It is so cozy, I absolutely love it! In fact, I’ve been throwing it on at the end of almost every day, when I’m feeling done with my jeans but it’s too early to put on pajamas.
I flew to Maine last Tuesday to spend a few days with my mom. I wanted to pack light so I could do a carry-on, and I knew it was going to be quite cold and rainy/snowy one day, so I wore the Aquatalia Brigitte booties because they’re weather-resistant.
To those, I added black jeans and camel v-neck sweater, and I topped it all off with a black quilted jacket and plaid scarf. I always travel with my Goyard tote b/c it holds my ginormous laptop. This is the tote liner I use to give it structure, and it’s on a Black Friday Deal at Amazon. I have one of these in my smaller Neverfull as well.
Equipment sweater 25% off (S) // Fidelity Cher (similar jeans 40% off) // Aquatalia Brigitte boots 50% off (8.5) // similar quilted jacket // similar John Hardy hoops // similar pendant // Goyard tote
By the way, this is the carry-on suitcase I carried. I’ve had it for years, and it still looks sharp! Although I probably need to take a Magic Eraser to some of those scuffs. Anyway, this whole set is 60% off today at Macy’s, so I wanted to mention it.
Treasure & Bond leather jacket (S) // Jenni Kayne sweater 25% off (S; similar for less) // Fidelity Cher (similar jeans 40% off with code OHJOY) // Steve Madden mules 40% off (8) // Delsey Chatelet Air 2.0 21″ Large Carry-On Spinner (60% off!)
It snowed on my first full day in Maine! I was so happy. We didn’t go anywhere all day, so I wore this Vuori set.
Remember when we used to do these selfies? I’m a little rusty, but you get the drift… There’s no full length mirror up there, so this will do.
The next day was much prettier, so we decided to go out to lunch. I wore an ivory fisherman sweater and blue jeans and the same boots.
I got my mom to take this picture before we left. I wanted at least one with the beautiful scenery I got to enjoy during my visit.
Jenni Kayne fisherman sweater 25% off (S; similar for less) // Aquatalia Brigitte 50% off (8.5) // Frame Le High Straight Ankle Jeans 40% off (29) // Burberry scarf (budget option) // similar jacket // rag & bone sunnies // similar John Hardy hoops // similar handbag
Then it was already time to return home. It was just a quick visit! We stopped on our way to the airport for lobster rolls, and I tried for another one of these silly selfies.
I brought more sweaters than I needed because I wasn’t sure what all we would be doing. I figured I might as well wear what I brought, so I went for this black shaker knit v-neck for the trip home.
Back at home on Saturday, I wore this outfit to work from home. It’s way dressier than I need to be at home all day, but this sweater is super soft and warm, and I’ve been waiting anxiously to wear it ever since I bought it in July. But of course, it’s sold out… 😢
I planned to go to church on Sunday, but Becca was sick, so I stayed home with her to keep an eye on her. I changed from church clothes into this comfy sweatshirt and jeans.
I love this little sweatshirt, and it’s on sale at Evereve. The detail on the sleeve is so fun, and it’s the perfect weight — not too thin, just cozy enough.
Then the next day, I pulled on that same Nordstrom Signature sweater again. I love that thing! It’s so soft and warm, and the perfect length to pull on with jeans and not have to futz with a front tuck.
And then yesterday, I threw this on to wear to the nail salon to freshen up my manicure. Everything here is old, sorry about that!
And that’s a wrap! I’m off to do some Thanksgiving grocery shopping… send caffeine!
