This is the time of year when I start scheming ways to escape the cold here in the Northeast. Once we hit that stretch of winter where everything feels gray and gloomy, I’m mentally somewhere warm and sunny—preferably with a palm tree involved.
Paul and I have a trip planned to St. Lucia in March that I’m super excited about, but right now that feels a long way off. I may need to sneak in a Florida getaway before then just to break up the winter and get a little sunshine fix!

Asa 63 yo woman who loves fun stylish fashion I’m also conservative when it comes to baring skin for events. I found the nicest dress in Quince! My first purchase and very happy with the fit and style.
It’s the Fit & Flare midi dress in the blue floral waterfall pattern. It’s just perfect for a beach wedding paired with comfortable flat sandals. Plus it’ll pack well in my carry on.
I have quite a few styles (tops, skirts, shorts) from last summer I’m still loving so those will be coming too!

Good morning! We’ve been having temps near 80 this week believe it or not, but since it’s still technically winter, our mornings and evenings are cool and my house stays cold all day. I love January in CA. Dressing for a warmer winter day is actually more challenging because of the change in temps within the day….cashmere and cotton in the same day…LOL! Looking forward to seeing your new try ons with some transitional and pre spring outfits!
Yes this time of year has me yearning for sunshine and to get away. We leave in the morning just for 3 days, to Gig Harbor to relax, hike, read and eat out. Nothing too big, but it helps to just get away during these Winter months. It’s going to be low 50’s only, but all sunshine, so that’s ok with me. I can hike in the woods in any weather. 😌Your March trip sounds wonderful.
