The Athleta Summer Semi-Annual Sale Starts Now!

There are so many sales going on right now, and Athleta just started their semi-annual sale, where you can save up to 60% off popular summer styles. (Prices are as marked.)

I lift a couple times a week and run every other day, so I’m always in need of fresh workout gear. Athleta has a great balance of style and function, and they’ve long been one of my go-to retailers for athletic wear as well as athleisure styles.

The Renew racerback tank comes in a bunch of great colors, and it has a chafe-free seamless design for ultimate comfort. It has UPF 50+ and is made with odor-controlling yarns and anti-microbial protection.

It feels soft against the skin, but it’s a crop length with a body-con fit, so you may want to size up for extra wiggle-room. I’m wearing my usual size small, but I wouldn’t mind trying the medium.

These mesh run shorts with a 4″ inseam are perfect for running or walking, or any other high-intensity workout you enjoy.

They’re silky smooth and lightweight, and they have an internal hanging envelope pocket for essentials and a side secure zip pocket that fits a phone, credit cards, or energy gels. Plus, there’s a built-in brief for additional coverage. I love this bold pink, but these come in a bunch of other fun patterns and colors as well.

I also picked up this breathable, reflective runcap. When I’m running in the summertime, bugs really freak me out, so I like to have a hat to keep them out of my hair. This one is really lightweight and comfortable, and it even has the hole in the back for your ponytail.

Unfortunately, this top and cap are NOT part of the sale (at least not in these colors — the tank is on sale in a fun lime green!) Still, they’re both great basics to have in your workout wardrobe.

This is the perfect outfit for summer running, or any other high intensity exercise when you want to stay as cool and comfortable as possible.

I also picked up this tie dye tee. It’s made of a lightweight and breathable organic cotton, and it has a close to the body fit, but isn’t clingy. You can work out in this tee, but it’s elevated enough for everyday wear.

I paired it with these lightweight polyester/spandex Brooklyn Joggers for an easy athleisure look you can wear from the gym to the grocery store, and it also makes a comfortable travel outfit.

They’re wrinkle-resistant, and they have a ribbed side panel and gusset for added mobility, as well as two front hand pockets and two back zipper pockets.

These joggers have a 27″ inseam, and they also come in petite and tall sizes, but unfortunately they’re only on sale in the Medieval Violet. It’s actually a really great shade, though, and would be a fresh alternative to the more predictable black.

When you need an extra layer, this Pranayama wrap is the perfect wrap to throw on over your workout clothes, a casual outfit, or your pajamas in the morning. I have the white one, which I wear all the time, and I just added this marl grey heather to my closet. It is beyond soft and comfortable, such a joy to wear!

I brought both of these to Maine with me — the white because it’s the one I wear all the time, and the grey because I was planning to shoot this look. I ended up wearing both because the white one got dirty, and it was chilly and dreary, and this was the comfiest thing to throw on with all of my outfits. I’m so glad I happened to have an extra, and I will definitely be keeping both in my closet.

Altogether, this makes a great travel outfit, or a casual look for running errands and working from home. It’s comfortable but put together, and each of these pieces can be mixed and matched with other items in your closet.

  3. You look so great in both outfits! I would definitely wear the joggers and tee, since I don’t wear workout shorts. And they come in petite length – perfect! Have a great day!

  4. I really like the casual outfit. That’s actually the type of outfit I prefer to wear more than anything, so I will be checking it out tonight. I hope today’s photo shoot went well with the girls!
