Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! 🥂 It’s Day 15 of 23 Days of Spring Fashion, and I’ve got a sporty off-duty look that’s perfect for Saturday errands or pretty much any mommin’ activity on a mild spring day.

This Caslon knit hoodie is from Nordstrom, and it comes in a bunch of great stripe and solid color ways. It’s made of a soft cotton-blend knit, and I really like the sleek slim fit. It runs true to size; I have the small.
I paired this red and white stripe hoodie with white crop jeans, and then I anchored the look with brown wedge sandals from Sorel.
My white jeans are from last summer, and I can’t find this exact pair anywhere this year. They’re the 724 high rise crop straight, and the color is Won Me Over, for anyone who wants to check eBay or Poshmark. I always size up in Levi’s, and these are the 29.
You can find other colors at Amazon, or the Levi’s Wedgie in white is a similar option. A few others to check out are the Paige Sarah, the AGOLDE Riley (non-distressed version here), and the GAP Cheeky Straight.
These sandals are the answer for anyone who needs comfort and support. Sorel is my go-to for stylish comfort shoes, boots, and sandals; and I love the sporty styling on their new Cameron wedge sandals.
They have a cushioned foam footbed with a scalloped rubber sole for extra grip, and they’re super lightweight. Plus, the velcro tab makes them easy to get on and off.
I’m wearing Velvet Tan, but check out Honest Beige with the cork wedge for a more subtle look. You can also find these sandals at Zappo’s, and they run a bit large. I sized down half, for a perfect fit.
And I found this straw tote at Nordstrom. It’s a great carryall, perfect for errands around town or taking to the pool or beach. It has a big exterior slip pocket that easily houses your smartphone or sunglasses, plus there’s an interior zip picket as well as wall pockets, and it comes with a removable crossbody strap.
This bag keeps going in and out of stock, so I also found this similar option. I think the brown sandals and straw bag make such a nice contrast against the crisp and clean red and white color palette.
I kept my accessories simple with oversized pearl earrings and my favorite silver link bracelet.
Wouldn’t this outfit be perfect for a Memorial Day or July 4th gathering? If you swap out the white jeans for blue jeans, you’ve got your red, white & blue without needing any other accessories.
Here in Pennsylvania, it’s often chilly on Memorial Day weekend, and even sometimes on July 4th. It’s always nice to have a long-sleeve option just in case.

Love that on you. I have straight leg crops on now. Comfy for around the house but don’t like look on me. You look great.
I like them best with a fitted top, that shows my waist. Otherwise, I look like a human rectangle, lol!
That is such a cute outfit! I just bought a red and white striped tee I plan to wear with white jeans and a denim jacket on cooler days (because I’m always cold). I was curious if the straw bag has a firm bottom or is more unstructured. Thanks!

Love the sandals. I like how they give an illusion of height but look to be effectively under 2 inches. Great for my aging feet. About the bag – I bought an adorable tote that was similar but it had no ‘floor’ and it could not be set down without collapsing into a heap. I tried to make it work by taking the plastic bottom from a reusable grocery bag and trimming to fit but it still refused to stand up. Needless to say it went to my donation pile. Does this one stand on its own?
It does not. I would honestly carry this more for a beach bag than an everyday purse, but I love the color with this outfit. 🙂 I will look for something with more structure.

Hi Jo Lynne, Such a cute outfit. I love this top and just ordered it. Sure hope the fit is good. I got the medium as I don’t like my tops too tight. Also I ordered the wit and wisdom jeans so I could get the extra points. I had a question on the sorel sandals. The information says to size down a size, but my left foot is a whole size smaller than the right foot, so should I go down a size from the bigger foot? I can try that and sure hope it works. My feet are like that too. I went a half size down from my usual smaller size. I consider 8 my true size but sometimes I need an 8 1/2 in boots and on very rare occasions and 9. I often have to size down to a 7 1/2 with slides but ankle strap sandals are usually an 8. I ordered these in the 7 1/2, and they fit perfectly. That was kind of convoluted, but I hope it helps. 🤣

Great outfit on you, and my kind of outfit too. I went ahead and ordered the pink striped one, and if it works, I will probably order the red one too. I don’t need another white pair, but I have been intrigued by the cheeky jeans at Gap, so I ordered the super faded blue color. I am still thinking about the sandals 😊. I need to see what I have when I pull out my warm weather shoes.

I really like this outfit and how it looks on you! I see this as another potential for FL. Well, I ended up ordering a pair of sandals from DSW instead of Nordstrom because they had a better selection in my price range, that will work for my lifestyle and my bad ankle. I am going to look for some tops at Nordstrom though. Fortunately, we did not get the severe weather in our part of the state. We are having cool temps for a couple of days, then the heat will return with a vengeance. I hope you are having a great day!
