Good morning! I have a rare Saturday post for you today because I want to share what I wore in Miami this week.
We spent a lot of time shooting spring outfits, which was the primary purpose of the trip, so I didn’t really do any sight-seeing or go very far off the resort property, but I did take pictures of the outfits I wore.
SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and I usually wear a small in tops and dresses, a 29 in jeans, and a size 8 shoe. Gifted items are indicated by c/o; everything else I purchased myself.
What I Wore In Miami
I flew to Miami on Super Bowl Sunday, and our Philadelphia Eagles were playing, so of course I had to represent. Everywhere I went, I was greeted with Go Birds! It was a fun day… in spite of the disappointing loss in the last few minutes of the game.
These P448 sneakers are new! I just found them shopping at Nordstrom last week. I was a little nervous to wear them traveling without breaking them in first, but they felt just like the pair I’ve had for years. P448 never disappoints!

We went to the restaurant in the hotel for dinner that night, so I wore yet another Eagles tee (short sleeve this time) and white crop bootcut jeans.
I really like the look of these white P448 sneakers with the white denim for spring. I front-tucked the top and added a belt, to keep the casual look polished.

Alison arrived early the next morning, and we started shooting as soon as she dropped her stuff in her room. This was the view from one of our photo locations… the colors were simply amazing!
We took a break for lunch, and then I spent an hour by the pool before getting fixed up to take more pictures before dinner.
I wore a swimsuit from last year (that’s still in stock, yay!) and this new coverup. It was perfect for having lunch at the poolside cafe.

And here is the one lone picture I got with Alison… She prefers to stay behind the camera, but I insisted on a quick selfie.
If you’re local, she does amazing family pictures, and she works at the Jersey Shore all summer. You can check out her site HERE.
This was the last outfit I photographed that afternoon, so I went ahead and wore it to dinner. It’s more of a casual dress, and I actually photographed it with flats, but I threw on the platform sandals for dinner because I knew I’d feel more confident in heels.
These shoes are everywhere this season, and they’re remarkably comfortable and walkable, considering the height. Highly recommend, if you like a platform sandal.

We were up and outside by the pool at 7AM the next morning to get pictures when the light was at its best. Then I took a break to do some work on a deck overlooking the pool.
I always bring joggers and my Athleta Pranayma Wrap when I travel for hanging out in the lobby (or outside, when it’s nice) to work before getting showered and dressed for the day.

This was my view… not half bad, eh? (I pilfered this picture from my Instagram Story, so that’s why it has the caption.) And I went ahead and made the picture clickable, in case you missed my Denim Trends for Spring 2023!
After that, I got dressed to meet the girls at the poolside cafe for lunch. I had planned for some pool time after that, but I ended up going back to my room for a nap. I was exhausted!
This is what I wore to lunch… This hat is on sale, and it’s great for travel because it folds up and fits right inside your suitcase!

That night, we all went out to eat at Ocean Social at Eden Roc. It was . . . interesting. Can’t say I’d recommend it, but it was a pretty spot on the water.
We got this group picture before we left our hotel. Alison has a better one from her camera, but this iPhone shot will do for now.
These are the ladies who met me down there, such beautiful women inside and out! Tania and Jen haven’t posted their outfit details yet, but I linked to Lindsey’s.

Here’s a better shot of my jumpsuit. It’s currently on sale, and very comfortable. I felt okay in the size small, but you may want to size up if in between, or if you have a larger chest.
I also highly recommend these shoes. I love the strappy style, and they’re very comfortable. We had to walk quite a bit to get from our Uber to the restaurant, and I was just fine! In fact, I like them so much, I got home and ordered the green.

I spent my last full day in Miami relaxing and catching up on blog work by the pool. I started out wearing jeans over my swimsuit because the morning was chilly, but I eventually switched to shorts.

By that evening, we were all tired and not feeling great, so we decided to cancel our dinner reservations at MILA and just grab a bite to eat at the hotel.
I was tempted to keep my swimsuit and jeans on, but I rallied at the last minute and got dressed appropriately. We kept it casual because we just sat in the lounge area.
WHBM Power Tee (S) // MOTHER Hustler (also HERE & HERE) (29) // Vince Pia Wedge Sandals (also HERE & HERE) (8) (similar for less) // earrings // necklace // bracelet
And this is what I wore to travel home on Thursday. Tania had these t-shirts made for us, super fun! The idea was to wear them together, but we didn’t get quite that coordinated, so I wore mine to travel home.
KUT denim jacket (S) // Girls Trip In Progress tee (S) // MOTHER Dazzler (29) (similar for less) // P448 sneakers (39) // earrings // necklace // bracelet // Delsey suitcase // Away suitcase // Goyard GM (similar for less)
And that’s a wrap! As I said, this was really more work trip than vacation, so we didn’t get out and about much. While I don’t have a lot of daytime outfits to share here, we did photograph a bunch, and I’ll be rolling them out once I get my pictures back. I can’t wait to see them!

Do you. have a link to the red leaf print bathing suit in your first photo (the intro photo)? That looks so pretty! I am also looking at the Sea Level Cross Front suit you styled here. Thank you!
Sure! It’s right here: https://jolynneshane.com/shop-my-daily-looks?sc-list=43535578
Thank you! I ordered one of the others (in two sizes, just in case), and I will order this one as well.
Lovely photos! I’m wondering where you stayed…
We stayed at The Edition.
Cute outfits! Did the Dolce Vita Lukas shoes run large, noticed you have a 7.5 instead of your usual 8? Love those shoes and hoping they go on sale at one of the many stores where they are being sold.
I often have to size down in slides b/c I have flat feet that tend to slide right through them. 🙂 But I would say they’re TTS.
Great photos. You look good in a hat.
Aw thanks!
The Sea Level and Miraclesuits are really gorgeous (and: practical!). Wearing it as summer shapewear you don’t have to fully hide, lol!, looks cute with the jeans and white linen shirt.
BTW: it was 70-degrees in NJ this previous Wednesday also.
I know!!!! I was so bummed to miss it. I was FaceTiming with my daughter while she was on the patio. Of course I was in Florida on our only nice day in February, haha! 🤪
Enjoyed your post today and the pictures. Could you tell me the name of your hanging travel/cosmetic bag and how you like it.?
Mary
I love it! It’s the large. https://amzn.to/3k9lDkE
Great outfits, hope you do another shoot with shorts, skirts and/or casual dresses. We don’t wear jeans usually between May and end of October, it’s to warm, so I would love to see some fun alternatives
Girl. It’s February! Lol. I will definitely have more summery styles by May. 🤗
You must be a southern girl too! I put my long pants up after Easter and don’t break them out again until well after Labor Day! And I agree with this request, although it’ll be another month or two before it gets that hot, most of the retailers are already putting spring and summer out so it’s a good time to buy! And with the way denim trends change so quickly, I don’t plan to buy any long pants now with only a month or two left to wear them.
Just thought about this convo and laughed, it’s 83 in Mississippi today (in February!) 😳 And much to my chagrin almost all my shorts from last summer are too tight thanks to a pesky weight gain! Now I’m off to search for retailers who already have summer stuff out. Thankfully we have a “cool spell” coming next week (70s!) so maybe I won’t melt before the new shorts get here! 😉
I enjoyed looking at all your Miami pictures. Can’t wait to see more! Do you have a link for your hanging cosmetic bag? I like that style and size. Thanks!
I love it! It’s the large. https://amzn.to/3k9lDkE
Fun post and you look great in everything. I’m not sure my body is ready for a swimsuit. Yikes. You look great. Did you put sunless tanner on before your trip? Looking forward to seeing more outfits to come.
Looks so pretty there and you look great in everything! Just curious if your P448 sneakers come with shoelaces tied like that? I have some On Clouds that I love and they come with elastic ones that don’t tie and love that feature!! Thanks!
No, I tied them that way. I like it because they’re easy to slide off and on.
Jolynn you look so cute in that hat! Love all the outfits and the green swimsuit and coverup looks so classic and comfortable, the red color is pretty too. You girls all looked great, glad you had a good time.
This is a great post! I was wondering about the black Naghedi bag. I’d love your thoughts on it. Is it structured enough to hold it’s shape?
Thanks!
It was so good to meet up with you and Jen again! You looked great in everything, and I was soooo envious of your jeans. Why didn’t I pack any pants??? 😆
