Happy Monday, friends! The Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale is kicking off early this year, and their sale section is packed with amazing deals! With up to 60% off labels like MOTHER, FRAME, Barefoot Dreams, Caslon, Vince, and more, this is the perfect opportunity to refresh your wardrobe, stock up on cozy staples, or grab a few luxe pieces you’ve had your eye on.

My Top Picks from the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale
My MOTHER Weekender flares with the raw hem are one of my most-worn pairs of jeans. I absolutely love the fit and feel of these, and this wash is very similar and 33% off right now.

similar MOTHER Weekender (29) – 33% off // Jenni Kayne Flynn (S) – 20% off! // Rails Geneva Cardigan (S) – on sale at Bloomies! // rag & bone Walker Chelsea Boots (39) – 55% off
There are a few sizes left in these MOTHER Dazzlers, and also these PAIGE Laurel Canyon High Waist Flare Jeans.

PAIGE Laurel Canyon High Waist Flare Jeans (29) // Talbots Twill Jacket (S) // Vince turtleneck (M) (not on sale)
Nordstrom cashmere is always a good value, and especially when it goes on sale. The v-neck is 53% off, the crew neck is 46% off, and the turtleneck is 52% off. These sweaters are my go-to for layering; I have them in multiple colors, and they run true to size. (I wear the small.)
Also, these PAIGE Anessa wide leg jeans are 25% off, and this Vince cashmere crewneck is 35% off in select colors. This is a great classic piece in a modern 22″ length. I especially like it for layering, but it can also stand alone with enough accessories. The black is not on sale, but I love the Juniper. If I didn’t have the Vince turtleneck in a similar color, I would snap that right up. (I sized up to a medium in this one.)

Nordstrom Crewneck Cashmere Sweater (S) // similar PAIGE Anessa – 25% off // Vince Cashmere Crew Neck (M)
I’ve had this Ralph Lauren Wool Blend Reefer, and it’s a nice quality classic coat. I only passed mine on because it got too small. For more of a splurge option, the Fleurette Charlie is gorgeous. It’s 100% wool and made in the USA. There’s also this stand collar option.
I also noticed my KUT from the Kloth Kara Coated Denim Jacket is on sale, and the Julia is a good option if you don’t care for the raw hem.

KUT from the Kloth Kara Coated Denim Jacket (S) // LNA Giselle Slip Dress (M) // ATM tee (M) – 55% off at Saks OFF 5TH // VEJA Esplar (not on sale) // old FRAME jeans

We are also doing Steak on Christmas Day…as it will only be my one daughter and her family that day…..It didn’t work for my whole family to be together until the 27th…which will be lasagna Day. The 26th is the whole extended family (39 people) which is traditional Turkey day (and we are hosting that – yikes – but everyone brings something)
Since there are 3 littles on the 27th with the Steak I bought an ice-cream cake for dessert – With so many days of celebrating I was all for streamlining my food prep wherever possible. 🙂
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Ice cream cake for dessert sounds perfect!
Christmas Day is always a full
Turkey dinner day… leftovers are on Boxing Day…
Merry Christmas to you and your family! It’s a white one here.. first time in a long time I’m guessing well over 5 years! And more coming tomorrow 🌨️🎄
I just checked and we last had a white Christmas in 2013!
How fun, enjoy!
I’m a pescatarian, so we’re having Salmon for Christmas dinner! I’ll pair it rice, a veggie dish, salad and brownie sundaes for dessert!
Thanks for all you do, I’m much better dressed and pulled together because of your posts!
Have a very Merry Christmas!!
That sounds great. I love salmon. Enjoy!
Thank for the heads up on the Nordy sale. Merry Christmas to you and your family and enjoy them all being home together. That is so fun. Mine are all coming with their kids the 26th. We had to work around my son’s fire shift. My dinners for the 3 nights are Sweet and Sour meatballs over rice, Taco Skillet and then a Christmas Ham dinner with my sweet potato dish, raspberry jello salad and broccoli salad, rolls and Chocolate Gingerbread bundt cake and Christmas Cookies too. Of course you know we all have food allergies, so all these meals I work around allergies of dairy, gluten, egg, soy, garlic, onion etc. etc. etc. A challenge for sure. We will also be celebrating my husbands retirement from the Fire/medical service of 49 yrs. Its going to be a new Jan. for the both of us. He has 3 more days of work left. Enjoy your day.
Wow, that sure is going to be a change for you guys! I know you’ll be relieved, as that’s a dangerous job. Have an amazing Christmas!
I’m still undecided whether to have rack of lamb or prime rib. I need to get one or other out of the freezer today. 🤔 As to appys, I’m making cheese balls and my spinach dip with water chestnuts (for something a bit healthier) up today. I bought spring rolls and sweet chili for dipping. I also have the makings of a big charcuterie board. Oops! Just remembered grapes. We’re not big on Turkey dinners anymore. With a big brunch and everyone grazing during the day, appetites are not big enough to justify cooking all day. Plus, my hubby does the prime rib, rack of lamb, or steak making an easier more enjoyable day for me.
Enjoy your Christmas with your lovely family!
I’d love your spinach dip recipe. That sounds good!
Merry Christmas. No help on the dinner front as we do a chili/soup/sandwich buffet for ours. I always love pepper jelly with cream cheese and crackers for appetizers though.
Ooooh I have some of that pepper jelly, too! Great idea!
Hi! We’re looking into new luggage. What is the brand you have? There was a carry bag in addition to suitcases.
It’s the Away luggage and everywhere bag.
Thank you!
Oh, for Christmas dinner we’re having rack of lamb, mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels with bacon, cranberry jello salad, and Macaroons with ice cream for dessert.
That sounds amazing. I will probably do Brussels with bacon too.
Merry Christmas to you and you’re family!! I can’t thank you enough for all you do for us!
God bless you always 🙏🏻 ❤️
Cindylouwhoo
Thanks, Cindy. Merry Christmas!
Just wanted to wish you a very merry and happy Christmas with your family. I appreciate your blog, your honesty, your friendship, and personability with all your followers. Steak for Xmas sounds delicious! We do Mexican food for our Christmas dinner here. I’m hosting 16 people and I’m making shredded chicken and also carnitas for tacos, and our housekeeper made us a tray of tamales (so good!) Everyone is bringing sides: taquitos, shrimp ceviche, rice, beans, guacamole, salsa, 7-layer dip, and desserts. And my husband makes a pitcher of cranberry margaritas! I might make an apple cake tomorrow to add to the desserts if I have time. My maternal grandfather was from Spain and when he was alive he used to make a big pot of homemade pozole which is a stew/soup made with pork (or chicken) and chilis and hominy. My mother or my aunts made it after he passed away, but now my mom doesn’t like to cook anymore. Enjoy your white Christmas! 🙂
That sounds like so much fun! I hope we get a little more snow before Wednesday. It’s just a dusting right now, but it’s still pretty.
Did you hear Nordstroms was bought out by Liverpool?
Merry Merry Christmas!!!
I want to go to Heathers house was thinking that must be in Texas!
Here in Chicago with adult children and boyfriend .. girlfriend … I’m taking the easy way out! I overdid cooking at Thanksgiving … they will bring Thai food from the city!
I will add cheese board, homemade Chex and sausage balls family tradition.
Raspberry cheesecake and Christmas cookies for dessert!
Thank you for all you do!
We are having baked ham, stir fried green beans, german potato salad, Bob B Que bread (recipe from Tania Stephens), and pumpkin pie.
Merry Christmas!
My husband and I are Carnivore so it’s definitely steak for Christmas dinner! Merry Christmas!!
My family is going to my daughter and her husband’s house for Christmas dinner. They’re serving shrimp cocktail, charcuterie board, baked ham, an old family recipe for cheesy potatoes, Brussels sprouts and I’m bringing a mushroom casserole (new recipe – hope it’s good).
My daughters and I baked cookies on
Sunday which we will eat for dessert.
Have a wonderful Christmas!
It’s just the five of us again this year so we keep it simple. Hors D’oeuvres on Christmas Eve (shrimp cocktail, clams casino, lil’ weenies in wine jelly, Hawaiian ham & cheese sliders, maybe veggies/chips and dip and Christmas cookies). It’s literally the same every year, but that’s what the guys want! I’ll make Philadelphia sticky buns and we’ll have a big breakfast on Christmas morning. Not sure yet what I’ll do for Christmas dinner. Maybe a pork tenderloin.
Have a very Merry Christmas and fun spending time with your family.
