2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview: My Top Picks & Early Favorites

Alright, ladies. This is it! The long awaited Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview is live online, and shopping for Icon Nordy Club members starts tonight at 12:01 AM ET/9:01 PM PT!

I rounded up my early favorites for you, and since I first published this post, I’ve had more time to peruse the #NSale offerings this year, so there are some new additions to the shopping widgets. I also added a section with my top Men’s Picks, and I’ve got my #NSale Beauty Exclusives in a separate post.

Affiliate Links & How to Support My Work

I want to take a moment to share a quick disclosure and to explain how bloggers and influencers earn income. I make a small commission when you shop through the links on my blog and social media. That’s how I’m able to keep this blog running and share all of my content at no cost to you.

When it comes to affiliate links—whether it’s from the blog, Instagram, Facebook, or Substack—the last link you click is the one that counts. So, if you add items to your cart or Wish List from my blog but later click a different link before checking out, that sale credit goes to the last source.

If you’d like to support my small business during the #NSale (or anytime!), just click through to the Nordstrom website from my blog before you complete your checkout.

I know the social media space can feel loud and overwhelming at times, and there are a lot of people vying for your attention. I truly appreciate your support more than you know. 💛

#NSale Shopping Quick Tips

As you get ready to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, here are a few tips to help you make the most of it and actually score the items you want.

  • Shop online, not in-store. Skip the in-store chaos and shop online instead—it’s much more efficient and opens at midnight, long before stores do. (If you want your items ASAP, just choose Store Pickup.)
  • Know your Influencer Level. Follow this link and log in to find your status. Then set a reminder to shop as soon as it’s your turn. Having your Wish List ready makes checkout so much easier.
  • Consider expedited shipping. It helps reduce the risk of order cancellations, since those orders are processed faster. (Plus, you’ll get your items sooner!)
  • Shop early and often. Hot items can sell out within hours and even disappear from your cart while you’re still browsing. If you know you want something, check out with it first, then go back for the rest.
  • Order two sizes when in doubt. If you’re unsure of sizing, grab both. It’s better to return what doesn’t work than to wait and find it sold out.
  • Download the Nordstrom app. It will alert you when items on your Wish List get restocked. Be sure to turn on price drop and back-in-stock notifications for your Wish List, Shopping Bag, and Saved for Later sections. (The app should prompt you to do this when you first log in.)

I spent yesterday afternoon going through every category and rounding up my early favorites—the pieces I’m most excited about, the ones I think will sell quickly, and a few tried-and-true wardrobe staples and beauty buys I recommend every year. Whether you’re shopping for fall essentials, refreshing your basics, or just here for the beauty bundles, I’ve rounded up all my top picks in one place! But first…

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: A Refresher

If you’re new to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, here’s the gist: Each year, Nordstrom releases a large selection of their Fall 2025 inventory and immediately marks it down—so you can grab on-trend pieces before the season even begins. Some items are returning best sellers, but many are brand new styles.

It’s also the perfect time to stock up on personal care products and refresh wardrobe basics like bras, underwear, and t-shirts. Plus, the Beauty Exclusives are always worth checking out—think limited-edition sets, jumbo sizes, and value bundles you won’t find any other time of year.

Early Favorites from the #NSale Preview

Alright, let’s get this party started! I’ve spent hours combing through the Nordstrom website to find the best picks in every category—these are my early favorites!

My Top Denim Picks | 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Let’s start with my favorite wardrobe category—denim! There are over 200 pairs of jeans included in this year’s sale, and yes, I scrolled through every single one. I saved almost 50 to my widget while browsing, but after narrowing things down, these are the styles I think are actually worth a spot on your Wish List.

I’m happy to see some of my favorite styles from MOTHER, PAIGE, and Pistola in fresh washes. The MOTHER Weekender, Hustler, and Roller are all included, along with the PAIGE Anessa in several lengths and colors, and the Pistola Lennon in a deep, inky black wash. The PAIGE Laurel Canyon High Waist Flare Jeans are back again this year, and I’m excited to try the FRAME Le Sleek High Waist Ankle Straight Leg Jeans in the washed black Jitter wash.

In the under-$100 range, there’s a great selection of Wit & Wisdom denim in this year’s #NSale, and both KUT from the Kloth and Good American are also well represented. I rounded up my top picks here:

My Favorite Sweaters & Tops | 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

This category surprised me. At first glance, nothing looked terribly exciting, but once I started digging in and adding favorites to my widget, I had a hard time narrowing them down, so be sure to scroll through them all. I saved more than I could fit in the graphic.

This fall, it’s all about the details. These pieces may look pretty basic at first, but when you zoom in, you start to notice the pretty textures, the unique stitching, the interesting collars and necklines. I’m also loving all the wear-now options that are perfect for late summer and early fall.

I’m especially excited about the sweaters and tops from Rails and FRAME, and there are some really nice-looking options from Vince and Reiss. The Nordstrom brand has also updated some of their more basic cashmere styles, which is nice to see, and I even spotted some Frank & Eileen in the mix!

Best Shoes & Boots | 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

This is one area where I almost always find some great deals that last me all winter long—and once again, I’m seeing a good mix of fall/winter and wear-now styles, which is perfect for those of us who don’t want to wait months to wear our new finds.

There are a lot of ladylike styles in the mix this year—slingbacks and sandals you can wear now and later. I love the look of them (even if I’m not totally sure how often I’ll wear them). There are also some fun sneaker styles popping up, which I’m excited to try. As for the boots, they felt a little underwhelming at first glance, but I’m holding out final judgment until I see them in person. It’s always different once I get to the store, and I’ll be sharing everything in real time when I’m there on Tuesday, July 8.

Trending colors across the board seem to be rich shades of brown, and I’m also seeing some navy suede sprinkled in—which feels fresh and a little unexpected for this time of year.

My Favorite Coats & Jackets | 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Coats are one of the best ways to get your bang for your buck during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They’re a bigger investment, but that also means a bigger discount. I have a hard time getting excited about buying a winter coat in July, but I’m always glad I did once the cold weather hits. These are the pieces that stay in my closet for years.

Barn jackets are still trending this year, along with longer coats in more relaxed silhouettes. There’s a lot of leather, tweed, and a few really cute, outfit-completing jackets that can elevate even the simplest look.

I was excited to see the AllSaints Orten leather bomber back this year. I love mine! The Barbour quilted coat is included again too; I wore mine a ton last fall. Reiss has a stunning full-length wool coat if you’re looking to splurge, and Lole has a great-looking puffer. There are quite a few leather jacket options as well, and I’m definitely eyeing this boxy oxblood leather jacket—such a cool piece!

Best of Handbags & Luggage | 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

There are some really fun handbags in the sale this year. I found more whimsical and trend-forward options than practical everyday staples—although there are a few of those as well. Suede is trending, which I haven’t seen in quite a few years, and I love a suede bag for fall! I’m also seeing a lot of bucket bags, structured leather totes, and boxy east-west styles, which feel fresh and modern.

In terms of color, navy is showing up again here—just like in the shoes—and I’m also seeing pops of merlot, which is such a gorgeous choice for fall. Both are a nice shift from the usual black and tan neutrals.

But what really caught my attention? AWAY luggage is included in the #NSale this year! They’ve also got solid options from TUMI and BÉIS—great brands to shop if you’re looking to upgrade your travel gear.

Best Foundations | 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

They aren’t as fun to shop for, but this is a great time of year to refresh your bras and underwear, when so many top sellers are on sale. Here are my top picks:

Best of Men’s Fashion | 2025 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Don’t forget the guys! I always get Paul and David a few new pieces from this sale, and I often tuck a few away for Christmas, as well.

  1. I apologize in advance for the negativity, but I’m so over this sale already, and it hasn’t even started! I find that most of the anniversary sale items aren’t the same quality as the regular priced merchandise in the same brand. I’ve been so disappointed the past few years, and I’m determined not to get suckered in this year. Too bad it’s the only thing fashion influencers will be talking about for the next month!

    1. Hi Betsy! It’s perfectly fine that you don’t like it, are tired of it or have a negative feeling about it. I would like to simply and respectfully share you didn’t need to share this response. Was there some GOOD were you hoping for as a result of this comment? Just ignore the posts, you have that power and as a fellow woman I encourage you to be assertive with your power.

      1. Shelly,
Please don’t shame me for having a conflicting opinion about the anniversary sale. We all don’t have to agree, but I’m entitled to share my thoughts just as you are entitled to share yours. Follow your own advice, and simply ignore my comment. Instead of shaming others for their own opinions, “be assertive with your power”.

        1. Hi Betsy, I understand where you’re coming from. There’s definitely some fatigue around this event, and I know the Anniversary Sale isn’t for everyone. That said, I work hard to create content that’s helpful for the readers who are interested—and there are many who are. Not every post will resonate with every reader, and that’s okay. If something doesn’t interest you, maybe just scroll past and check back for the next one.

I appreciate that you’ve been part of this community for a long time, and I value your readership, but if you feel the need to preface a comment with “I’m sorry for the negativity,” it might be worth reconsidering whether it needs to be said at all. I welcome constructive conversation, but comments like this can be disheartening—not just to me, but also to others who do find the content helpful. Thanks for understanding. 🙂

        2. Happy Saturday Betsy, I’m sorry if my message came across as shaming. That was not my thought at all. I firmly do not believe in shame.

  2. Jo-Lynne you’re the best! Thank you so much for all the work that you put in for us for the NAS. I adore fashion in general & it gets me so excited for fall! Trends are always fun to see – and picking the ones that resonate with us personally is half the fun. Thank you for helping us to feel inspired and we are so lucky to have your extensive knowledge of brands, sizing, your personal cost-per-wear….all of it!

  3. Can’t wait for the try on hauls in Fall. I saw three items in your list that will for sure be on mine. I do understand the woman’s frustration with the NAS sale. I’ve been into it going on four years now. The trick is to buy things you know you need and will buy regardless of sale, then you won’t regret it. I did make the mistake of buying sweaters the two past years and found them even cheaper after the sale, before I was even able to wear them. Now I stick to denim, jackets and shoes.

    1. That definitely can happen. It’s always a bit of a gamble, but then there are the really good scores that disappear and never come back in stock. Like the Margarita tee I’m wearing today! (I also love this year’s version—which I forgot to add to the shopping widget. I’ll fix that now.)

That’s why I always say, treat this sale like a game and have fun with it. Or just ignore it, lol! But venting to bloggers is not helpful. 🙂

      1. Jolynne, just wanted to say I appreciate the work you do even on posts that don’t pertain to me (after all the posts that I enjoy most may not be useful to someone else!). I personally don’t buy much during the NSale but enjoy the coverage as a sneak peak of fall trends. If I remember correctly, I think in the past you’ve interspersed some non-NSale content during that time period as well. I always enjoy this as it’s a refreshing break from the continual coverage, and keeps your readers who don’t shop the sale from having to tune out altogether for a couple weeks. Thanks again for all you do and please don’t be discouraged by negativity.

    2. Elizabeth, I’ve noticed the same thing about prices being lower later! And with so many people buying multiple sizes during the NSale then returning the ones that don’t work, I’ve found that the inventory is actually better later as well. I understand the fatigue too and I always appreciate bloggers like Jolynne who offer thorough coverage for those that are interested but also intersperse some other content for those that want a break!

  4. It’s always nice to read your take on the NAS items and how they relate to current and upcoming trends. So far, I have only previewed shoes and have a couple picks on my wishlist that would fill gaps in my wardrobe.

As a lifelong Seattle-area resident, Nordstrom and the Anniversary Sale have been a part of my life, and not just for the 11 years I worked for the company. I have memories of BTS shopping during the sale from my elementary school days, onward.

  5. Thanks for all the hard work you put into all your posts, and I’m sure NAS is double that, at least. While I don’t always buy during NAS (and understand the poster’s frustrations), I *always* enjoy the posts and the try-ons you, and others bloggers, do. After all, we’re all here because we like fashion…even if some particular fashions/sales/posts don’t resonate!

    1. Thanks, Grace. I get it, it gets to be a lot when it seems like *everyone* is posting about it. I hope that even those who don’t want to shop it may enjoy seeing what will be trending for fall.

  6. I have found the NAS hit or miss for me. I have a list of what I feel I’d like to add to my wardrobe/accessories/home, and then see if there are any NAS items that fit the bill. Some years, I’ve hit the jackpot. Other years, I didn’t order a thing. 🙂 I appreciate you and other bloggers who sift through the inventory, just, in case I missed something.

  7. I am so happy to see brown trending . Can’t wait for your detailed try ons. So helpful on what size to order . No one covers this sale as well as you .

  8. I personally like to hear your take on the sale because I also like to review the items they have and form my opinions of them. I am a plus-size shopper so some of what you recommend I cannot use since the NAS options for plus sizes are MUCH more limited than for regular sizes – which I find sad to say the least – I wish there was parity in options, but also understand it’s not always possible. However, I use your posts as a helpful guide to understand what is in style for my age group, trending, and what to look for and I find your reasoning very sound. So, I do appreciate the work you put into it. I like the thought of treating the NAS like a game and seeing if you can “beat” the system a bit.

  9. Hi,
Thanks for the suggestions on the Nordy Anniversary Sale. It’s obvious you put tremendous time and effort into sharing ideas. Question for you, have you found a good strapless bra that does not use silicone on the sides? My skin reacts to it terribly. I appreciate any insights you can share. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you! I haven’t looked for anything without silicone since it’s not an issue I have. I will keep an eye out, or maybe someone else can suggest something.

  10. Thanks for sharing your picks – it’s overwhelming to look through everything myself sometimes.

  11. I’m excited to see navy bags and shoes coming back. Such a lovely neutral! The navy suede is calling to me.

  12. I always like to see what’s trending for Fall and usually pick up a few pieces each year at the NSale that become some of my wardrobe basics although this year I won’t be purchasing any clothing yet. I am on a weight loss journey and not yet to my weight goal. I will need new jeans etc and hope I can purchase them closer to fall at a good price!

  13. Happy Saturday, Jo-Lynne! I don’t often comment, but I do enjoy reading the comments because sometimes there is more helpful information and I enjoy the “community” feel to it. Seeing negativity here today made me want to pipe in. I am definitely team “if the content is not speaking to you, no worries, scroll on and we’ll see you again tomorrow”. The NAS happens to be the sale I MOST look forward to all year (and I know I am not alone). Fall is my favorite season, so to have a new release of fall fashion at a sale price to help me get through one more HOT summer day – yes, please! It is such a fun game for me: I build my NAS wishlist, then I read your blogs and love seeing what we both gravitated to immediately and you ALWAYS show me things I missed, then I LOVE following you on IG for your try-ons that immensely help me finalize my list. You always find new “gems” in store, and your assessment is so honest and detailed. The NAS sale may not be for everyone, but some of us REALLY enjoy it, so please keep up all your hard work. I am so grateful that, with your help, I have scored some amazing finds at the NAS through the years that I still enjoy (boots, jeans, Elemis, Tom Ford sunnies… and so much more!). Personally I cannot get enough of your NAS blogs/IG posts – please keep them coming, the more the merrier! I am here in N.C. having a BLAST alongside you!

    1. Kristy! Thanks for chiming in. You have expressed my thoughts exactly so I will just say “ditto” to your post instead of spending time writing my own! HAHA!! I have a Nordstrom close by and love cruising the store during the sale but having Jo-Lynne’s thoughts in my head helps me find what I may need. I usually then go home and order on-line so she gets “credit” for my purchases. Returns are so easy as well, but I don’t return much!!

  14. Thanks so much for all the hard work you put into scouring the sale preview and giving us your suggestions! I await your try-on hauls! If possible, it would greatly appreciated if you could include a few more lower priced items. Thanks again for all your hard work!

  15. Thank you so much for all the work you put into making the Nordstrom anniversary sale manageable for us! In considering the sleeveless sweaters above, I am wondering if you envision wearing them as shown or would you be able to wear a long-sleeved or short-sleeved top underneath for winter? Or maybe as shown with a jacket or blazer? Just trying to figure out how I would wear them in the cooler seasons when I would typically wear a sweater. Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

    1. I actually don’t really like them worn over a tee or button-up but you certainly can do that. I’m not really seeing it though… for me, those are transition pieces, but I realize that means I may not get a great cost per wear out of them. They can definitely be worn under a blazer or jacket, though. That’s a look I do see when the weather is cooler.

  16. I purchased the Dolce Mylee Heels Sandal and then the Rebecca Minkoff Megan Grained Leather crossbody bag due to your recommendations. I love them both. I would have not purchased either without your suggestions and am so thrilled with the guidance you provided. When I read you were struggling with burnout, I wondered if maybe I don’t tell you often enough how much I appreciate you and all the time and effort you give to your blog. You are by far the best! Thank you!
