Today is day 14 of 28 days of winter outfits! Sorry for skipping yesterday. I repeated an outfit, so I decided my Valentine’s Day Date Night outfit will have to count for Day 13. Fair enough, yes?
Today I’m all decked out in red because it seemed fitting.
I went back to one of my larger handbags. I love my small one, but I am tired of being out and about and not having something I need.
The red cashmere hoodie was a Christmas gift from my mom many years ago. It’s starting to look old, but I still love it.
I’ve had a request for showing my outfits with my coat. I thought that was a dandy idea! I won’t do this every time because I pretty much wear the same coat all the time, but it might help add some interest and variety to these posts.
When I took this picture, I couldn’t find my scarf. When I went and got into my car, I discovered it on the floor. D’oh. I didn’t want to redo my pictures, so here ya go. I also lost my favorite texting gloves in Gettysburg so that’s why my hands are bare. It’s wayyyyyy too cold to be running around without a scarf and gloves so I will have to rectify this situation immediately. I think the Nordstrom clearance sale is calling . . .

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
Thanks for sharing your pea coat!!! I never know if it’s ok to let a tunic hang below a coat and if your hand bag and shoes should match the coat? I work in a school and people are very critical of these things!!! Thanks again.
I do not like to allow a tunic to hang below my coat. That is one reason I don’t wear that coat a lot. It’s short and things do hang too low sometimes. I definitely do not worry about my handbag and shoes matching my coat. It’s hard enough to get them to coordinate with my outfit! LOL.
After reading Nancy’s comment, I thought a lesson on how to accessorize might be a good idea for a series. Examples of the wrong way (or old style ) versus the more up to date approach would help some finish off their outfits. What do you think, Jo-Lynne?
Definitely! I like that idea. I need to think of some “old rules” we might want to discuss.
Thanks for the tips. I love your website and refer to it often. Just asked about the coat because I live in New York and we have been having a brutal winter! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Love the peacoat!! I love coats but don’t really have a winter coat since I live in AZ, makes me sad but I guess it saves me a lot of cash
Great idea Joanne. It’s very hard to keep up with fashion when you need to dress for work everyday. I wonder how many times a month you can wear a repeat outfit to work and stay stylish!!! It’s exhausting at times!
