Good morning! I hope everyone’s enjoying their weekend. I can’t believe we’re already halfway through April!! I decided it’s time to post my April Favorites.
I have quite a few new things I’m loving right now, and thankfully the weather is finally warming up enough to use them. Best of all, everything I’m sharing is $100 or less.
#1. Hunter Boots $100 – They say April shower bring May flowers, and I certainly hope so, because we’ve had our fair share of April showers this season. I was so glad to have my Hunter boots last week when I was running errands in the rain. They rarely go on sale, so I wanted to be sure to let you know that the Graphite Gloss (same as what I have) are 33% off at Zappo’s. I realize they’re still a bit of an investment, but I’m telling you, if you live in a climate that gets much rain, you will be SO glad you sprung for these. They are incredibly comfortable, and the Graphite Gloss is super versatile and goes with everything. I recommend sizing down. I typically wear an 8.5 in boots, and I have the size 7 in my Hunters.
#2. Striped Tassel Coverup $56 – I’m a sucker for tie-dye and for a kaftan-style bathing suit coverup, so I’m totally jonesing for this striped tassel coverup. I have a pretty white gauze one from last year, so I’m trying to resist. Plus, I usually just end up throwing on jean shorts and a tank top over my bathing suit and calling it a day, so a kaftan is really not all that practical for me, but if I had a backyard pool and wore a bathing suit for much of the summer, I would totally snag this coverup.
4/15 UPDATE: I’m sorry! This has sold out. Bah humbug. I actually put this post together before I left for Virginia, and I don’t have the time to recreate the above graphic this morning. Some other coverups I like are this black kaftan at Old Navy, this white kaftan at Nordstrom, and this grey long-sleeve hooded coverup, also at Nordstrom. Ohhh, this blush tie dye dress at Nordstrom is also super cute.
In the past, I’ve done a whole post dedicated to swim coverups. Let me know if you’d like me to update that with current picks!
#3. Draped Thermal Hoodie $59 – This is an oldie but goodie, and I find myself wearing it all the time now that it’s getting warmer. In the winter, I’m a big fleece bathrobe kinda girl, but once the weather warms up, I like to throw on this drapey cardigan over my tank top and pajama pants in the mornings. I also wear this hoodie every time I travel because it’s cute over a tank or t-shirt, and I can easily take off if I get too warm. I have the black and the swan, and for size reference, mine are both mediums. The black and grey are on sale at Amazon, but the swan is full price.
#4. Pearl Drop Earrings $17 – These are the perfect summer go-to earrings, and they’re on a super nice discount right now. White or bright shades tend to draw the eye, so when you wear these pearl drop earrings, the eye is drawn up to your face, no matter what you are wearing. They go great with white and pastels, but they really compliment almost any outfit.
#5. CND Studio White $10.50 – For the second year in a row, this is my go-to white nail color for spring and summer. I usually get the Shellac for my manicure and the Vinylux for my pedicure. For anyone who likes to DIY it at home, you can order the Vinylux from Amazon and use it on both fingers and toes. The Vinylux is designed to last a week with normal wear and tear, and it also dries super fast.
#6. Taj Clutch $79 – This boho-inspired fringe trimmed clutch just screams summer. It was hand-woven in India, which is pretty cool, and it just spices up any old outfit. It has so many colors in it that it goes with practically everything. It’s currently on backorder, but I think it’s definitely worth the wait.
#7. Cold Shoulder Stripe Tee $39 – This is really cute on, and it has some fun details, like the cold shoulder cut-outs and the split back. I wore it one day in Savannah, and I didn’t wear an under layer with it, but I was wishing I had one because the back does have a tendency to blow open when you’re outside. It all depends on your comfort level, but it’s something to consider. For size reference, I have the medium.
#8. Long Linen Blend Cardigan $69 – I picked up two of these (the black and the tan) and they’re so versatile. They’re great to throw on over dresses, or of course they work well with a t-shirt and jeans. They’re also nice for work wear over a silky shell with dress pants. They come in a ton of colors. I sort of want the coral now. For size reference, I have the small.
#9. Flutter Sleeve Tee $39- I just ordered this last week because I thought it was such a cute variation on a basic tee. I usually stay away from crewneck styles, but this one is a little deeper than some, and I wear a long necklace with it to draw the eye down to the waist. The sleeves are really cute, and it has a nice relaxed fit that isn’t too voluminous. I wore it last night out to a casual dinner with white jeans and grey wedge sandals. For size reference, I have the small, and it comes in 4 color choices.
I’ve also noticed a ton of good weekend sales cropping up, so I thought I’d do a quick roundup.

I hope y’all have a great weekend. It’s nice to be “home” for the first time in a couple of years. We’re staying at my parents’ house, and we’ve had my brother’s kids here for the past 24 hours. My kids are having a blast playing with them.
Last night, we went out for a big family style southern dinner at one of our favorite spots out in the country. I posted a picture of the landscape on my personal Instagram. Today we’re going to do some shopping, and I’m looking forward to celebrating Easter tomorrow with my family here in Virginia before we get in the car to head back to PA.
If I don’t get a chance to post tomorrow, I hope all who are celebrating have a blessed and very happy Easter!
