Best of April 2023

Good morning, and Happy May Day! The sun is FINALLY shining today here in Philly, and I’m so ready to be done with April, but before we continue on with more spring fashion and beauty content, I’m sharing the most popular products and posts here on the blog and across my social media channels last month.

Top 10 Products in April 2023

First, the 10 best selling products! I’d love to know. If you snagged any of these and how they worked out for you.

These are listed in typical Top Ten order, with the most popular one last.

also wearing: Kork-Ease sandals (8) // straw clutch

#10. Talbots Nantucket Eyelet Slub Dress (S) // There was a tie for 10th and I wanted to include both because they are classic pieces earned a spot in my spring/summer wardrobe, and I think worthy of a spot on this list! In fact, I kept this dress in two colors. I’m wearing the petite medium in the Deep Sea Blue and a regular small in the Indigo Blue.

also wearing: white jeans (29) // sandals (8) // woven tote

#10. Treasure & Bond Allover Print Blouse (S) // I love this breezy top for pairing denim or work pants; it could also work well with mid-length or Bermuda shorts for an elevated shorts outfit. I also have it in the black. It runs true to size, or size down if in between.

also wearing: utility jacket (S) // white tee (S) // Kork-Ease sandals (8) // Lagos bracelets // DIFF sunnies // handbag

#9. Wit & Wisdom Split Hem Crop Jeans (6) // If you’re trying to transition from skinnies to straight leg jeans, this pair is perfect, and they’re also priced well under $100. They run true to size, or size down, if in between.

also wearing: Gap Factory V-Neck Dress (S) // woven tote // similar necklace // Lagos bracelets // DIFF sunnies

#8. TAOS Plim Soul Lux Sneakers (8.5) // These are a really nice classic pair of white leather sneakers, and they have great arch support, for those who need that. The collar is super soft and padded, and they don’t require any breaking in. For that reason, these are the sneakers I’m bringing with me to Italy.

also wearing: V-Neck Top (S) // Kork-Ease sandals (8) // similar necklace // Lagos bracelets // DIFF sunnies // handbag

#7. Gap Factory Mid-Rise Classic Straight Jeans (29) // You can’t find a better pair of classic straight leg white jeans under $50! The denim is nice and thick and not see-through at all, and they have a comfortable mid-rise and a forgiving fit. They come in a wide range of sizes, as well as short, regular, and long lengths.

also wearing: earrings // necklace // bracelet // similar pumps // Coach handbag

#6. White House Black Market Godet Dress (6) // This beautiful dress is perfect for weddings and other dressy spring events. Size down, if in between.

#5. Kork-Ease Hutton Ankle Strap Sandals (also at Zappos) (8) // If you’ve been hanging around here for long, you know how much I love these sandals. They go with everything from dresses to denim, and they work with just about any style of pants.

also wearing: graphic tee // denim jacket // Tory Burch sandals (8) // Lagos earrings & bracelets one & two

#4. Wit & Wisdom Raw Hem Cargo Pants (6) // These pants are a nice alternative to denim for spring, and I love how they updated a crop flare with cargo pant details.

also wearing: Dolce Vita sandals (8) // Yurman earrings

#3. Gap Factory Sleeveless Split Neck Dress (S) // I was surprised to see this dress pop up in this list, since I just shared it once in a try-on haul, but it really is so cute and affordably priced. I can’t wait to wear it when the weather warms up!

also wearing: ecru jeans (29) // Tory Burch sandals (8) // Ray-Bans // similar camera bag

#2. LOFT Stripe Textured Sweater (S) // Such a good spring/summer sweater in a nautical navy/white stripe. The subtle blouson sleeves give it a modern touch, and it’s a great price! This will also pair nicely with white shorts when the weather warms up.

also wearing: blue jeans (6) // white tee (S) // earrings // similar necklace // Lagos bracelets // DIFF sunnies

#1. KUT from the Kloth Ingrid Utility Jacket (also at Zappos and KUT from the Kloth) (S) // This is such a good spring jacket, very lightweight and comfortable, and the attention to detail is on point. It’s no surprise it’s in first place! Inventory is starting to get depleted, but it’s on sale and fairly well-stocked on the  KUT from the Kloth website.

Top 5 Blog Posts in April 2023

Based on Google Analytics, these were the 5 most popular blog posts that I published last month. These posts are listed in typical Top Ten order, with the most popular one last.

#5. April Nordstrom Finds // Wow, this is the first month there is only one try-on haul in the top 5! These Nordstrom Finds posts are always popular, especially when I manage to schedule one during a bonus points events. So many good spring wardrobe staples in this post.

#4. Capri Pants: In or Out? // Well, this post sure did create a firestorm of comments! This post was originally written eight years ago, and I only made minor updates. I guess I’ve taken on a more measured tone since then because some thought it was “bold” and “condescending.” I did not intend to sound condescending, but I do stand by my analysis of capri pants. Of course, in matters of fashion, all opinions are subject to change without notice.

#3. Try-On Haul: Comfort Sandals, White Denim & Dresses // This was the only try-on haul that made the top 5 this month, and it’s a good one! Be sure to check it out, if you missed it.

#2. Gap Factory Surprise Sale // I’ve really enjoyed rediscovering Gap Factory as I’ve been working with them for the past year or so, and I’m glad you all like it too! It’s hard to find budget-friendly brands that have a good balance of quality and price point, but I feel like Gap Factory does a great job with this, as well as keeping up with current trends in a way that is wearable by women of all ages.

#1. White Denim Guide // And in first place, my white denim guide! I really tried to find a variety of price points in all categories. If you missed this post, you’ll definitely want to check it out.

  1. I know that this may be off subject, but I wanted to ask you about the 1822 cropped jeans. Do you like them as much as your Mother jeans in the same style? Also, do you think they fit bigger like some reviews say?

  2. Thanks for all the new Spring looks. I love your insight on what’s in now.
I currently am loving the boho look. I’m seeing it everywhere lately. What’s your take on this look? Is it too trendy? Or is there a way to incorporate a few looks into my wardrobe?

  4. I bought the Gap factory strip dress and the Wit n Wisdim denim and like both. Didn’t realize the dress was linen blend. Hope it doesn’t wrinkle bad. Does yours? I think you mentioned taking it on your big trip. Looking at ordering some others items mentioned here. 🙂 Thanks….Great post.

  5. The Loft sweater was a favorite for me! I wore it a ton! We’ve had a few chilly days here and there lately, and I was happy to be able to wear it again!
