Cozy Gifts from Athleta

** This post is sponsored by Athleta.

It’s not too early to think about holiday gifting, and one of my favorite gifts to give and get is cozy loungewear and activewear. Athleta has long been a trusted source for easy transition pieces that can take you from workout, to work, to weekend, and I’ve rounded up a bunch of my top gift ideas for you today.

Inlet Vest (S) // Cozy Karma Twist Neck Sweatshirt (S) // Balance Flare Pant (S)

The Athleta pieces I have in my closet have lasted for years, so it’s a brand you can feel good about gifting to any of your loved ones, or treating yourself, if you’re so inclined!

I purchased this Inlet Vest last year, and it quickly became my go-to for wearing over sweatshirts and other base layers when I’m walking the dog or exercising outdoors in the fall and on milder winter days. It’s lightweight and breathable, and it has such a flattering silhouette.

Two zip pockets securely stash your essentials, and I love the stretchy panels on the sides for extra comfort and mobility.

Underneath, I’m wearing the Cozy Karma Twist Neck Sweatshirt, which totally lives up to its name. It is sooo cozy.

It has a super soft plush interior for extra warmth, and I appreciate the generous sleeve length with thumbholes to keep them in place as you move about.

It also has easy-access stash pockets, and it’s cut a little longer in the back than the front, to cover your assets, as they like to say!

I love this bold shade of red they call Clover Berry, and it comes in a bunch of other great colors and neutrals, as well.

Not only is this piece perfect for walking my sweet Savannah, it’s a cozy yet elevated top I can wear when I’m working from home or running casual errands in the fall and winter. Oh, and they also have a hoodie version, as well!

Speaking of cozy yet elevated activewear essentials, I’ve been wearing the Balance Flare Pants on repeat ever since they arrived last week.

They have a flattering flare leg, and the super-soft brushed nirvana fabric is extra cozy, but they aren’t stiff or too thick to move with you.

They’re a perfect medium weight to wear both indoors and out, and the comfortable, wide waistband doesn’t bind or constrict. I also like how the external front pockets lay flat and don’t create any extra bulk.

These pants run true to size; I’m in the regular size small. I could have maybe sized up for a little more wiggle room, but they’re perfectly comfortable, as-is. In fact, I am wearing them right now, as I type! They also come in petite and tall sizes, for the ladies who need that.

Athleta has so many more great cozy gift ideas for the women and girls on your list, so I rounded up a bunch of my favorites below.

Plus, If you’re an Icon or Enthusiast Rewards member, be on the lookout come 11/10 – 11/12. You’ll have first access to Athleta’s Black Friday Box Offer! (Find out more about Athleta Reward Member Benefits HERE.)

  1. Love the color of this top. Lately I’ve spent a lot of time in this type of outfit, but not walking. Ugh. Sick. I keep catching everything. It’s going to get cold here starting today. Snow coming to the Cascade Mountains too. We are going to be driving over them to see our kids and grands this weekend so need to pack warm fleece like this one. This outfit looks great on you. Dogs are so good for getting one out walking huh? Have a great day.

      1. Yes so true, but I can’t take my mom out anymore. Last year we did the PJ and slipper gifts but so did my brothers so she’s ok on those still. Thanks. If it’s not the guides most want than no worries.

        1. Kathy,
We (my siblings & I) have gifted our elderly mom with monthly lunches & one on one time, paid for cable or newspaper for a year & when she was still living at home, had days of “service” where we did things that needed to be done around her house. She loved them all.

        2. I cannot remember where I found this idea but I don’t receive the credit for cleverness…I put together a notebook for my mother in law with a years worth of cards: birthday, anniversary, etc. I had them all grouped together and included stamps. I think she really liked it. And my husband had fun picking out the card she would send him vs the card she would send his brother. 😉

  2. Please do a gift guide for elderly parents that can’t get out. They are so hard to buy for and I would love some ideas. Thank you

    1. I can definitely do that. I will do some crowdsourcing in my Facebook group. They always have great ideas. I always do a family photo album for my mother-in-law, I get all of the siblings and their grandkids to send pictures. She seems to really like those, and she can share them with her friends.

  3. Really good deal on the flare pants. I’ve only been able to find one pair of pants like that at Macy’s. The length I need is 27 inseam to wear with sneakers. The petite inseam of 28.5 on these pants is too long for me with sneakers.

  4. Athleta is a great brand, always wears and washes well. I had like at least 5 pairs of their leggings back when I went to barre class a lot. Adding to the discussion about gifts for people who don’t want more “stuff,” if experiences are not an option, consumables can be a good idea… candy/baked goods/snacks, candles, perfume, soap/bath products, flowers, fancy olive oil etc. Basically stuff they can enjoy but don’t have to keep around forever. I tend to ask for these kind of gifts myself, as I also don’t really want more stuff (NYC apartments are small.)

  5. Did you get the regular length? I’m torn, I’m about your height but can’t decide if I should order a regular or petite. It is final sale. I really like this kind of comfy but put together look! Color looks great on you.
