Favorite Crewneck T-Shirt (M) // CashSoft Cable-Knit Crewneck Sweater (M) // High Rise Soft Vintage Flare Jeans (30)
All the cool girls are wearing crew neck t-shirts under their sweaters, and I love the way this simple layering technique updates this classic navy cable knit crewneck sweater. This CashSoft Cable-Knit Crewneck Sweater is an amazing deal right now at $29.99. It feels plus like cashmere, but it’s an easy wash-and-wear cotton blend. I layered it over the Favorite Crewneck T-Shirt, and I’m wearing a size medium in both.

I paired this crewneck sweater + tee combo with a pair of medium wash flare leg blue jeans. These High Rise Soft Vintage Flare Jeans are a really good alternative to pricier designer brands. They’re soft and comfortable and extremely flattering. I sized up to a 30 to have some extra breathing room in the waist, but they do stretch some with wear, so take that into consideration when ordering.

When it gets cold outside, this Sherpa Coat in the Holiday Brown makes the perfect topper for this casual-chic fall look. This coat is so cozy and warm, and I think it’s really fun too. It’s also one of their Doorbuster Deals, for 60% off.

Sherpa Coat (S) // Favorite Crewneck T-Shirt (M) // CashSoft Cable-Knit Crewneck Sweater (M) // High Rise Soft Vintage Flare Jeans (30)
Here’s how it looks buttoned vs. unbuttoned. I like it both ways. This coat is cut generously, so I would recommend sizing down, if in between. I’m wearing the size small.

I also ordered the High Rise Vintage Flair Corduroy Pants in the black, and I love these! Corduroys are trending again this fall, and this black pair has a subtle dressy vibe, almost like velvet, so these will be really nice to have at holiday time. These cords come in short, regular, and tall sizes; and I would recommend sizing down. They run a bit bigger than the jeans; I have the 29, and they’re very comfortable.

Textured Stripe Crewneck Sweater (S) // High Rise Vintage Flair Corduroy Pants (30)
I paired these black cords with the Textured Stripe Crewneck Sweater in Burgundy Stripe. It also comes in a bunch of solid colors. This cotton blend sweater is another nice layering option, and it has a slightly longer, more relaxed fit with side slits, so I gave it a front tuck to keep my proportions in balance.

I topped off this outfit with a casual puffer in a coordinating shade of burgundy. This ColdControl Puffer Jacket is a Gap Factory classic that they’ve had for a few years, and I love the color choices this fall. It’s really soft and comfortable and practical for casual looks, but I recommend sizing up. I’m in the medium, and it just fits over this lightweight sweater.

Here’s how this jacket looks zipped vs. unzipped. I wear it both ways, depending on how cold it is. I also really like the ColdControl Puffer Vest for milder days, and both of these pieces are Doorbuster Deals for 60% off!

These are just a couple of ways you can style these versatile pieces. I would wear this puffer jacket over a thermal tee with blue jeans and sneakers for a more casual look, and these cords can be paired with a blouse and heels for date nights. They would also look amazing with this faux leather bomber for a chic monochromatic look. In fact, Gap Factory styled that exact outfit, take a look!

Link to brown purse please!?
Wow awesome, great deals! Does the puffer jacket run small? I usually wear a small so curious if sizing up is recommended. Also love the burgundy color–do you think that color is versatile from now until March/April-such a pretty color. Just trying to buy items that are classic/timeless when I can. Also, planning to order the jeans but hoping the short length is a good choice so they aren’t too long. Is it best to go up a size-I am usually a size 28.
Thank you again for all you do! It’s so appreciated.
It does run small. I have the medium. And I would definitely wear that burgundy coat through March.
I like everything on you. I wish the weather here would know it’s fall. All my favorite bloggers live in states where fall is beautiful. Where I live in Texas it’s dry and brown. The temperature is cool in the morning but hot in the afternoon. At least I have been able to wear jeans in the morning. We need rain so bad. Hopefully next month I can wear sweaters.
I am in Texas too!
Another Texan here! Love all the fall posts, looking forward to wearing sweaters and boots but for now it’s still way too hot in Southeast Texas.
Thank you for all you do:)
Well darn it! I really don’t NEED to add anything to my closet, but you shared several items in this post that have sparked my interest. I really want that sherpa short coat, but if we keep having highs in the upper 80’s, I won’t need a coat this winter. Have a great weekend!
