Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer: The Results

Curel Sponsorship Disclosure

A few weeks ago, I told you guys about the new Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer I was going to be trying out. This lotion is specifically designed for applying to wet skin immediately after your shower and before toweling off. You can read more about how it works in my first post. Today I wanted to follow up and let you know how it’s been working for me.

Many of us suffer from itchy, dry skin, especially in the wintertime. For me, it’s like clockwork. As soon as the cold weather sets in, I start getting that awful itchy, flaky dry skin. It’s miserable, and I’m sure I’m not alone. If you’re in the same boat, you’ve probably tried many products over the years, with varying degrees of success. I know I have.

I have to admit, I had my doubts about this product. I wondered how it could possibly work if I dried off right after applying it to my skin, and I figured I would still need to apply additional lotion to my legs if I wanted to avoid flaky-looking skin when wearing a skirt.

Well, I was wrong. The only time in the past month that I’ve needed to use any other body lotion is when I was in Nashville, and that’s because I left my Curél at home.

Here at home, my Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer sits in my shower, and as soon as I turn off the water, I start slathering it on. I apply it everywhere I can reach, and then I immediately dry off and step out of the shower and get on with my morning routine.

It doesn’t take long at all because you don’t really rub in, and I never forget to use it because it’s sitting right there in the shower. I’m also not tempted to skip it, as I am with traditional lotions, because I know it won’t leave my skin feeling sticky and uncomfortable if I need to pull on clothes right away.

The Results

As for my results? This product is a total game changer. I’ve been talking about it to everyone who will listen.

Since I’ve started using Curél® Hydra Therapy, I have not been itchy at. all. My skin isn’t flaky, and it doesn’t feel dry. I can throw on a skirt or shorts without needing to lube up, and I am just so much more comfortable without the dreadful itching.

Plus I just love how effortless it is to use. It saves me time in the mornings, and as any mom knows, time is a valuable commodity.

Best of all, it’s affordable, and you can pick it up at your neighborhood drugstore or where ever you happen to be running errands or picking up groceries.

Have you tried Curél® Hydra Therapy? I’d love to hear how you liked it.

  1. I’m bummed to see it has parabens! I would probably try it otherwise. For anyone else avoiding parabens with dry skin, I have had good luck applying lotion while still wet from the shower. It does help combat the dry skin, but it is a bit annoying because you have to wait a bit for the lotion to absorb / be dry enough to get dressed.

  2. My Dermatologist gave me a Rx moisturizer that she recommended applying onto wet skin and then pat drying as it helps to lock in the moisture. It works wonderfully when I get patches of severe itchy skin but I like to idea of using this product for a daily regimen. I will give it a try.

  3. Thanks for this review. I have the same issues as you with dry skin and it is more than frustrating. I will pick this up over the weekend and give it a whirl! Thanks again!

  4. You’ve convinced me. I’ll be buying some today. As you can imagine, dry skin is a constant battle here in Arizona. And I’ve seen in-the-shower moisturizers advertised, but never read a review by a user. Thanks for the post!

  5. I got a sample of this in a beauty box (from Wal-Mart, I think) and love it as well. Now, I just have to remember to pick some more up when I’m out because I squeezed the last little bit out of my tube this morning!

    1. Not that I’ve noticed. I do try to towel my hair first, and then I do my body so I’m not getting any lotion in my hair, but then I will use the same towel 2 or 3 times. It doesn’t get icky.
